- Privileged to participate in one of the best conservation stories in the world, the hunt for a big nilgai bull in the great state of Texas.
I have traveled to the remotest corners of the planet, in pursuit of my passion for fair chase big game hunting, trophy hunting, and conservation. Many are unaware of the vital role a trophy hunter plays in game management and conservation. When game has value, it's protected and its habitat preserved. Hunters bring vital resources to many parts of the world that help the local communities which in turn, protects the local wildlife from poaching. Hunting is an ancient sport that has become a valuable tool of conservation.
Join me on this remarkable quest. The quest of a big game hunter around the globe, exploring the incredible lands and the amazing animals that inhabit them. Experience the thrill of free-range rifle hunting for the big 5, the most difficult mountain animals, and the most unique species around the world.
In the heart of a hunter lies compassion, courage, and honor.

Congrats. They are an awesome animal. I was fortunate to take one this year with my bow at LANWR. Keep the content coming.
Sorry for the late reply. They really are a fantastic game animal and what a amazing conservation story due to hunting. Going after one in Pakistan in a few weeks. Very happy to hear you are enjoying the content. Got a great video up yesterday, my hunt for dall sheep. Many great adventures to share this year.🙏
Spectacular ranch in Texas. Looking forward to going there again.
I assume this was your 300. Jarret, but what type of bullet where you using?
@@davidchumbley411 hey Dave, yes it was the Jarrett and I use a Barnes x triple shock 180grains. It has been quite the combination for me.
Great job Matt, congratulations
Thank you my friend. Glad you enjoyed the video!!! Check out the recent hunt the giant bear in Vancouver island when you get a chance. It’s a good one!!!
So beautiful!!!
Great place!!!
Good bull Matt!👏
Thank you my friend!!!
Great shot on a big bull..👍👍
Thank you Alfonso!!! It was a great hunt and amazing place. Hope you enjoy the rest for the videos as well.
Amazing ❤️
👍🙏
👍👍👏👏👏
Thank you my friend. Hope you will check out some of other videos as well. Some exciting hunts coming this fall. Great to have you on the channel 👍🙏
I’ve got my first Nilgai hunt at the Kenedy Ranch, this Jan. 24’. Using a Browning 300 WIn Mag. I hear they won’t let you hunt with any less of a caliber. What grain do you or they recommend? Sounds like you had 174 grain, but had it specially made.
you will enjoy your hunt. i recommend a 300 caliber which is what i have used on all my nilgai hunts and it was a 180 grain barnes ttsx bullet
check out or other nilgai hunt where a well hit nilgai went over 200 yards before we found it.
hope you enjoyed the video and check out some of our other great adventures.
@@AHuntersQuest wow! That’s crazy! Yes, Barnes is really hard to come by, even from the manufacture itself.
Thanks for your reply.
@@jrortiz3156 👍🙏
You don’t need a 300 win mag. You aren’t shooting an elephant. Spend time at the range and make a proper shot with that ever rifle you have
@@captzugie it is the caliber that was recommended by the outfitter and the right gun for the job. the video is proof of that.
Tough beast what caliber?
500Ibs, how to bring it back?
Nice
Thank you my friend. Great hunt on the king ranch for a awesome animal!!!
In india thera are so many nilgai looking forward you come here someday for a hunt😃... Love from india❤️
I would like very much to hunt in India my friend. Great to have you on the quest!!!
Don't come India.
What caliber of rifle were you shooting? That was a great shot.
Thank you my friend. I shoot 300 Jarrett which has the ballistics of a 300 ultra mag with Barnes triple shock bullets. It has been a effective combination for 285 different species. Hope you are enjoying the adventures 🙏
That's what a great shot
Which Rifle and caliber were used.
Thank you. I used my 300 Jarrett on this hunt and all of it was necessary to take the nilgai at longer range.
What caliber did you use to take that bull?
Hey fermin, I took that nilgai bull with my 300 Jarrett. Long shooting is require on this ranch and this rifle is the perfect combination for power and distance.👍
I have 338 win mag. 300 rum. And 338 lapua which do you think is best for nilgia
Hey Clint, all those are good options. My recommendation is the gun you have the most confidence in. They are a big and stout animal and my feeling is that a big caliber is better especially if you have to take a longer shot.
@@AHuntersQuest thanks. I shoot the 300 rum and 338 win mag often .
@@clintjohnson7023 I certainly would not hesitate to use the 338 win mag. I have taken six big nilgai bulls and they have all taken a shot well!!!
True about Nilgai: ruclips.net/video/xK3gT6LRwlE/видео.html
What caliber where you shooting?
I shoot a 300 Jarrett
🍁🎇
Thank you my friend
When your next video is coming
We will have a amazing conservation video coming next Thursday from village in Pakistan so people can see the great benefits of hunting to local communities.
Rifle hunting is nice, cuz your odds are super high, but otherwise it seems so boring for a flat-land hunt.
That’s the difference between bow hunting and rifle lol not excited at all
If you’re an able bodied person I Say bow hunting would be a good investment. Gets the heart pumping more. But ain’t nothin wrong with rifle hunting.
