My family has some land out near Warrenton, NC a few miles away from some historic gold mine and deposits. We have a small creek (probably half the size of the creek you are working here) and it looks like very similar terrain. Do you have any advice for a beginner prospector going looking for some gold in small NC creeks? I know the basics of checking at impact bends, in front of large boulders, etc. Just wondering if you've picked up anything specific to NC in your time working.
