That’s because you’re not supposed to wash your hair everyday. When you wash it all the time you strip it of natural oils so when you go a while with out washing it the hair gets coated in the natural oils making it stronger and healthier

I don’t see how having fake dreads would do any damage to your natural hair. I think it’s actually better for it 1. You wouldn’t be using and heat products on it and 2. Not washing your hair is actually good for your hair and hair growth (to a certain degree) washing your hair everyday will actually dry your hair out because you’re stripping it’s natural oils.
Mimi 0603 there's no scientific evidence that proves that not washing your hair does any of those things. Latest studies recomend to wash your hair when it's dirty to keep it healthy (and sanitary!) and that's about it. If you don't wash it, the risks of infections and hair fall increase, as sebum helps bacteria to grow
I never said to stop washing it completely just not everyday. Like obviously it will get super gross and greasy but that’s only if you don’t wash it for a long time

No one is discriminating, it's called cultural appropriation. Black people and other POC wear dreads, braids, cornrows and we get shit for it. Some can't even get jobs and get expelled from school. But when white people do it, it's praised. Same thing with other stuff that POC have started. We're not denying her a right to do what she wants but people should just read up on things before they just go and do them.

I've been seeing a lot of comments about her dreads, come on people it's 2018 a style of hair isn't for a certain culture or a certain person, even if I may have came from a certain culture doesn't mean they own it, I honestly respect anyone with any hairstyle, It's quite rude to tell someone just because they're a certain culture or race, that they shouldn't be able to wear the same things as other cultures would, I personally think wearing different things from certain cultures can be a good thing, The overall message of this is that you shouldn't hate or discriminate someone for a hairstyle.

No one is discriminating, it's called cultural appropriation. Black people and other POC wear dreads, braids, cornrows and we get shit for it. Some can't even get jobs and get expelled from school. But when white people do it, it's praised. Same thing with other stuff that POC have started. We're not denying her a right to do what she wants but people should just read up on things before they just go and do them.

If the faux locs are creating bumps on your scalp, you may br allergic to something they may have added or thr synthetic weeve it is itself. If you do were weave agaim and you start getting bunps, I wouldn't recommend putting it in your hair again.
