I’ve heard that someone counted the amount of Minions in the Minions Movies and it’s less than the amount of minions in the Despicable Me movies, so maybe Gru needed more minions and he decided to investigate them, by making a diagram that is identical to the original minions, making more minions in the process, this is probably why we don’t see the original three minions, Kevin, Bob and Stuart in the Despicable Me movies, we do see Kevin and Stuart in Despicable Me 2 though, so Bob is the only one missing
I haven’t watched the video yet but here’s my timeline: Gru is born in - 1964 (1976-12) Gru meets the minions - 1969 (Evidence: Beatles Abbey Road) Rise of minions - 1976 (Evidence: Jaws) The new movie, is confusing and i haven’t seen it myself But it’s said Gru finishes Villain school in 1985, and there’s a talent show About Karma Chameleon that would’ve come out in 1983 Therefore Gru at the earliest in 19 or 21 at the latest (Evidence: Karma Chameleon estimate) Now the rest of the series is debatable, I believe either when the first DM Move came out or Somewhere in the late 90s to 2000s making Gru in his 30s and 40s
@@conntoons_4848 That’s true, but I also saw something where the creator said that none of the characters actually age in the universe, although that’s dumb too because Gru has already been shown growing up. The overall story has been pretty much pushed aside sadly- 💀
I think Despicable Me takes place in 2012 because Gru says the moon heist (May 26th) was a Saturday, so it only makes sense to be then since May 26th 2012 was a Saturday, I don't know why the wiki says 2009
Which creates a problem with Despicable Me 2. Because if Cinco De Mayo is on Saturday in that movie and it has to happen after 2012, that means DM2 has to take place in 2021. This is where my brain start melting.
