I actually really enjoyed this game way back when it came out. Now I'm aware it's nothing special but still somehow one of the better pirate games out there.
Brendan Skinner it is pretty fun yeah. Like I said, nothing special but for sure worth a play if you see it cheap. Although I’m talking the 360 version
The first potc game was just a rebranded Age of Pirates. Which means it had abysmal melee combat and a very clunky on land part. But quite a good and indepth* Pirates! like (but in 3d) sea part. That aspect was actually a lot more interesting than AC Black Flag. Sadly they haven't changed too much in either aspect. *especially if you lost a sea battle!
This game was part of my childhood and recently downladed it for my psp and you know what? It's actually a pretty good game...Obviously is bad but I love it
Fun fact: the accent that all pirate use in movies is based on one area near London where the original actor of Long John Silver was looking to get the best accent of sea fairing people. The rest is history
My mom has been staying with me during the lockdown and the other day she was washing clothes and asked if she could borrow a shirt to wear until hers were done. So I said sure and gave her one. My sixty-something mother has never looked better than the day she rocked my Billy Ray Walrus tee. Also, she’s a huge fan of Rules Boss 😂.
This game has a special place in my heart because this game is what got me introduced me to the franchise. When I was a kid, my father had a friend name Brain. He was very nice and generous guy. First time I met him, we were at his house and I discovered he had a bunch of PS2 games, this one included. He gave me all the ps2 games and this one was actually the first one I played. I’ve only got to know him for a brief time because he took his own life a few months after. Every time I play and think about the game, I think of him and how he made young me happy, Rest in Peace Brian
YOU JUST INSULTED ME WITH SAYING THIS IS THE WORST GAMES. I LITERALLY PLAYED THIS GAME THROUGH THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE ON DISK ON A WINDOWS XP MACHINE AND LOVED EVERY SECOND
I played this as a kid for the ps2. I was pretty shit at video games back then. Honestly this game was one of my favorites, I enjoyed it a lot although i was never able to get over the “pot” level lmfao.
Omg, I had the exact same problem, the one with big tribe lady, also later on the Flying Dutchman when you have to block or parry or something to trigger the rope jump. It was just the greatest thing to finally get over it which says how bad I was at video games because it's basically the first level after tutorial
If that is PS2 then those graphics are cutting edge for it. I remember most PS2 game struggling just to render smoke or light. Or hell....just trying to make the polygons fit together. This game looks beautiful.
I had this on PSP and for a PSP game this wasn't half bad. the jackanism parts made it highly replayable as well most of the time it gave you the best part of 2 seconds to press what came onto screen the best thing about this game was that you were playing through Dead Mans Chest as well as At Worlds End
Watching this at 1 in the morning, I have an assignment due for tomorrow and I'm stressed tf about it because I haven't started it. But wow this video made me laugh 😂 love you guys, wash your damn hands tho.
Igniting black powder with a sword isn't even that unrealistic, if you hit a stone surface with something made out of metal strong enough, sparks will fly. It's basically the same principle as making fire with two sticks, just stone & metal is the way easier version of that.
It's not a Worst Games Ever episode if Peter doesn't spend 4 minutes on something inane like music volume to pad the run time so he doesn't need to play for that long.
I was the same but in this instance it was handy when I saw it this morning. It allowed me to click the set reminder button and I was notified and hopped on straight away.
How dare you, this game was awesome in fact I prefer it over the PS3 version, it did make me refer to QTEs as Jackanisms for a very long time however but still this game slaps
This was a real good game, i remember my friend bringing it over to me with his controller because i only had one so that we could play most wanted and this together..... But we never got to play that day so i just ended up keeping the game for 2 weeks
I'm late to the party. But that "Roman" looking prison warden in a dress is supposed to be Turkish or Arabic or something. This game was made in tandem with the movie to be released at the same time as the movie. But as with many movie licensed games in the ps2 era the game devs and movie creatiors didn't communicate very well. So the the game supposedly based on the movie typically had to base it's story/progress by drafts and vague information about the movie in progress and didn't get notified about changes and alterations to the script or movie. I also suspect that the developers in this case had to cram gameplay in there somewhere and made changes according to that as well. Anyways, the prison in the beginning of the game is some POTC lore not very well explained in the movie. Its an Ottoman Turkish prison or a prison on the barbary coast in North Africra, I don't completely remember. The game basicly starts before the movie where we only see Jack already having escaped the prison, leaving the rest to the viewers imagination which I think is/was for the better. I owned this game for PS2 and was hyped for movie licensed games for a brief period because of my good impression from LOTR and Star Wars games. To say the least I was not very impressed and quickly leant that LOTR and SW usually were the exception, not the rule:P
Randomly thought of this game and came across this video and I gotta say, this is wasn't just not half bad for me as a kid, I actually though "this has got to be the best game I ever seen", had it on psp and pc. But in general I was just a sucker for video game adaptation of movies - Harry Potter and the order of phoenix and Narnia games come to mind as well. In a way it hasn't changed though, only now it's books and more about the universe rather than movies
Gotta say, the game doesn't look to bad, at least compared to other games. I was in my mid 20s when it came out. It did look interesting but there were so many games based on the movies that I lost interest.
So you guys have literally watched 0 films except Pirates of the Caribbean 1, which you have watched so many times you can directly quote it, tone and all, and correct misinformation about it on the wikipedia page.
Honestly; this game wasn’t really that terrible of one. It’s definitely so far the best movie tie-in video game on WGE. Except for possibly the hilarity that was the Sum of All Fears movie tie-in video game.
It looks like the EU version is different from the US version, I don't remember any of this including the cockney accents, I'm surprised they didn't notice that the cannibal segment was actually in pirates of the Caribbean 2 not world's end
I actually really enjoyed this game way back when it came out. Now I'm aware it's nothing special but still somehow one of the better pirate games out there.
I dunno, I thought it looked kinda fun? Especially for the Ps2 era and certainly not as bad as the usual rubbish.
Brendan Skinner it is pretty fun yeah. Like I said, nothing special but for sure worth a play if you see it cheap. Although I’m talking the 360 version

Sadly they haven't changed too much in either aspect.
*especially if you lost a sea battle!
@@5Andysalive I'm still dissapointed that potc RPG was cancelled. Could have been interesting
There was also an potc game for pc back then. Looked much better so far I can remember.
"It's Uncharted meets Dark Souls the game we have all been waiting for".
Basically Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order then.
Man that was a good game
Yes folks, it's the second installment of Ship Games for Anchors.
Oof. That's good.
Deserves more likes.
I'm not gonna lie, this game looks pretty fun.
Omri Madav I remember as a kid playing the PC version a lot! Not the greatest, but definitely fun.
It is fun
@@Little1Cave same. I played this as a kid on PC
@@AchiragChiragg Me too!
That's because it is fun lmao
I could watch these WGE vids all day. Thanks for continuing to put out vids guys. Legends
I think Peter's superpower is the ability to quote any media from our collective youth.
A true CBBC scholar
Come for the worst games, stay for the Mitchell and Webb references
Watching this series activates long forgotten memories of childhood PTSD. I love it! You should check out "A series of unfortunate events" on ps2
That’s a game? So cool!
I loved this game back in the day. Still my favorite version of the game.
Best comment here, amazing 😂
If there was a worst games scale, this is bordering on being a good game
Even though I can't see either of them, I know they both still pointed at their cameras when Peter said "sent in by you."
This game has a special place in my heart because this game is what got me introduced me to the franchise. When I was a kid, my father had a friend name Brain. He was very nice and generous guy. Great video I laught my bottom off when Ben called for firework and dragons and poor Peter had to edit it in. Awesome work. Stay save boys.
Peter's cosplay as Billy ray walrus, was really good. I couldn't tell the difference
YOU JUST INSULTED ME WITH SAYING THIS IS THE WORST GAMES. I LITERALLY PLAYED THIS GAME THROUGH THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE ON DISK ON A WINDOWS XP MACHINE AND LOVED EVERY SECOND

Me neither! It took sooo long
I remember having so much trouble with it and being SO happy that I finally got through it. Lol
Same!!!!
Omg, I had the exact same problem, the one with big tribe lady, also later on the Flying Dutchman when you have to block or parry or something to trigger the rope jump. It was just the greatest thing to finally get over it which says how bad I was at video games because it's basically the first level after tutorial
This was one of the funnest games I played when I was a kid. Low key, this was a time capsule seeing it again
Really pleased how well Social Distancing/Lockdown WGE has turned out. Top job guys.
The Tory off at the end was *chefs kiss*.
Admittedly I was a bit worried about what WGE would look like under quarantine, but you knocked it out of the park here.
If that is PS2 then those graphics are cutting edge for it. I remember most PS2 game struggling just to render smoke or light. Or hell....just trying to make the polygons fit together. This game looks beautiful.
I totally had this for pc growing up, don't remember much of it tho. Interesting that some of the movie actors actually worked on it.
Good effort keeping the channel going during these times chaps. Your followers salute you
"Oh my God, We're fighting the locals"
That's either a great name for a band or a sample Skrillex has yet to discover =))
Not as good a band name as "Pretentious Swear Word".
"Fighting the Locals" 1000% sounds like an indie rock band that would tour with Modest Mouse or Fleet Foxes or somethin'.
I had this on PSP and for a PSP game this wasn't half bad. the jackanism parts made it highly replayable as well most of the time it gave you the best part of 2 seconds to press what came onto screen the best thing about this game was that you were playing through Dead Mans Chest as well as At Worlds End
Brilliant work guys! Just as good as any WGE episode despite the circumstances.
Great video lads!! Keep up the good work and keep well!
I still have this game on the Wii!
...
I always got stuck on the Singapore boss fight with the two chicks.
Laughed so hard I had a Jackanism all over the carpet
Watching this and my Google home started calling gun shops at 11:32
‘That voice acting really puts the Willie’s up me’
That’s what she said 😅
I so want you guys to do the full game
Ben's impression of the Undead Merchant in the Undead Burg is spot on.
Lowest score:
Peter: 45%
Ben: No, 35%
Buwip: 45%
This may of been terrible, but it's Kingdom Heart's adaption is gorgeous and a lot of fun to play! :D
JACKANISM!!!!!
Doing a Jackanism in public gets you arrested for indecent public exposure.
As a prospective bladesmith..... watching even a virtual sword be used as a level hurts me
I loved this game on the Wii. I would love to play again, good video.
what emulation did you use?
I just started playing and already love the fighting stances for each character (especially Jack’s L1 🦀)
I didn't realise I'd played this game until I watched this, I never remember games.
Think I prefer the intro to this Worst Games Ever more than I do the normal episodes cos we jump right in
I have one question.
Why.... Is the rum gone?
Watching this at 1 in the morning, I have an assignment due for tomorrow and I'm stressed tf about it because I haven't started it. But wow this video made me laugh 😂 love you guys, wash your damn hands tho.
Dont you mean due today?
I had this game and remember having a good time with it
Random fact I'm pretty sure almost every pirates of the caribbean video game features crispin freeman as will turner
speedwaynutt correct, including the Kingdom Hearts games
Needed this laugh. Dont know if it coz of my situation but this feels my most favourite ones of these. thank you :D
I was taught Jackanism as an abstinence method
Igniting black powder with a sword isn't even that unrealistic, if you hit a stone surface with something made out of metal strong enough, sparks will fly.
It's basically the same principle as making fire with two sticks, just stone & metal is the way easier version of that.
Privateers 😅 one of the funniest yet
This is the best Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End for playstation 2 I've ever seen
Fucking love hearing the Tekken force "CHICKEN" sound effect. A friend and I still say 'chicken' like that to this day because of that goofy ass game.
Ben’s impression of the Undead Merchant is worryingly accurate
It's not a Worst Games Ever episode if Peter doesn't spend 4 minutes on something inane like music volume to pad the run time so he doesn't need to play for that long.
'From Software' are the REAL pirates.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
I dont like that Premiere stuff. Its like: Hey, check that cool video but you can't watch it yet.
Agreed. It's terrible
I was the same but in this instance it was handy when I saw it this morning. It allowed me to click the set reminder button and I was notified and hopped on straight away.
You must really hate movie trailers
One of my favorite WGE videos! From very beginning to the very end. 😁
This was one of the best games during my childhood. I played it on Wii and it was worth it.
How dare you, this game was awesome in fact I prefer it over the PS3 version, it did make me refer to QTEs as Jackanisms for a very long time however but still this game slaps
Yeh
i enjoyed this, especially when i grew up and understood how to play Pirate Dice
The format for this show actually works totally fine with the social distancing, this was a classics episode of worst games!
TO be honest , I can see Johnny Depp adlipping the "MR.Cotton " part , if you look closely at the clip it looks like they where all laughing inside :)
this is so awesome i found this again played it so much as a child
Going to be honest before I read the title I assumed this was a horror game based on the thumbnail in the recommended videos.
This was a real good game, i remember my friend bringing it over to me with his controller because i only had one so that we could play most wanted and this together..... But we never got to play that day so i just ended up keeping the game for 2 weeks
I just found out about this game, bought it and I'm LOVING it!
i played it back day in my childhood to me it was really fun game i liked it 😁
Oooo I just saw the Caravan of Garbage on this yesterday! We're in for a treat here.
Ok just started watching. But for the next one, can you guys use your crocheted versions of yourselves? Or the podiots versions?
I played the PSP version of this... and oh boy, I thought the unlockable characters were just the bees knees
God bless ya lads....big up the walrus massive. Thanks for doing this for us....ITS MY FAVE SHOW ON THE INTERWEBS...
What are the version differences between the 360 and PS3 versions?
Gotta say i love the first three pirates movies but the last 2 were shite

Dragons, fireworks, Ocean man.....take your like.
Corners where cut (like empty ships in cutsceens). But not bad. Swordplay was good.
That pot and coconut part is exactly where I left the game and never went back 🤣
Thank you so much for still doing worse games ever during all this guys. Please can you confirm billy is safe and well
27:30 is it 35% or 45% boys?
I use to have this. On the PSP. Not gonna lie, it was a good time.
Randomly thought of this game and came across this video and I gotta say, this is wasn't just not half bad for me as a kid, I actually though "this has got to be the best game I ever seen", had it on psp and pc. So shooting the lady in the chest and slashing her a bunch, she can take that on the chin. But a few coconuts to the dome? That's too much.😹
It's actually not bad it has so many actions that makes the game fun the soundtracks are cool
JACKINISM! Greatest thing ever (never done it) needs to come back.
I don’t think you would have gotten copyrighted seeing as the game itself is an independent score, but with Disney, what do I know.
I liked this game when I purchased it from SALE- bin. If I remember right, I even played it 100% completion.
Gotta say, the game doesn't look to bad, at least compared to other games. I was in my mid 20s when it came out. It did look interesting but there were so many games based on the movies that I lost interest.
I always saw the At World's End PS2 game as a cheesy, goofy rewrite of the PotC movies.
Good work boys. Love it.
"No flag, no country! You can't have one!"
You should rank the X-men games
this video is so old now
So you guys have literally watched 0 films except Pirates of the Caribbean 1, which you have watched so many times you can directly quote it, tone and all, and correct misinformation about it on the wikipedia page.
British people making fun of British accents is one of my fav-o-rite things.
I hope they trademarked "Jackanism" before someone snatches it up.
Honestly; this game wasn’t really that terrible of one. It’s definitely so far the best movie tie-in video game on WGE. Except for possibly the hilarity that was the Sum of All Fears movie tie-in video game.
Dude this game was really fun
It looks like the EU version is different from the US version, I don't remember any of this including the cockney accents, I'm surprised they didn't notice that the cannibal segment was actually in pirates of the Caribbean 2 not world's end
loved pirates of the caribbean a lot when i was playing black flag i'd always do the classic music running around ships
