my dad was once a paramedic and said this was the hospital they took people to, that it was a teaching hospital and cared to focus on patients as much as possible. I really wished to see it, but sadly they are going to tear it down. my dad learned lots of medical work there.
We were sad to hear that a hospital that cares more about patients than money would be shut down. I bet it was gorgeous back in the day! For what it's worth I'm glad you got to at least see it in a way through watching but, I know it's not the same :/
That was fantastic! Great camera work and narration! I love it when I watch something and learn the facts behind it. Looking forward to your next one...
Just discover you guys. This is seriously great content. Surprised to see you guys don't have 100k+ subs. Stay safe and keep up the awesome work. Watching from Queensland, Australia 🇦🇺
This was a great hospital ...I worked here for two summers back in 75-76.... Great doctors back in the days..they tore this down a few months ago..so sad the day they tore thisdown.
When me and some friends went we climbed in through a window after climbing the parking deck. We went down a few layers and got the feeling that we weren't wanted there. My friends and I can sense spiritual energy and we knew that we weren't wanted.
Door were always slamming in that place, because all of the windows were broken out. But many of those doors were pretty heavy. Rumor has it, Crazy Carl lived on the third floor before demolition.
Man, Caraway has been there for AGES. Passing by it every day wears down the intrigue, but this video was great! Made me appreciate it more as a strange landmark.
Get the plans from county municipality planning development district how I found That my old neighbors bk in FL actually owned more plot and ended up with 2 houses originally built as one.
The fact that people went inside a few years ago and it wasn’t trashed, just shows how disgusting people are. They literally ruined the place in a matter of months.
Let's take a generator up to the fifth floor, and leave the generator running. Then we can video ourselves as we pretend to find it. And then cut to black as we go around the corner where the generator is .
Saw news footage back in July, were demolition had already started. Although not all of it will be torn down. Some of it will be gutted from in side and remodel. From what I saw they u suppose to be putting in an a Amphitheater. Although funding for the Amphitheater still hasen't been approved.
This where Davey Allison Five Time NASCAR Champion was airlifted to Caraway Methodist Medical Center and died in Birmingham, Alabama on July 13, 1993 during the Midwest Flood of the Mighty Mississippi River
Yea turn it into something other than nothing. Unfortunately the place is way too far gone. Way too unsafe to even repair. Best case scenario is demolition unfortunately.
Who is the owns is the owns of the hospital were you are now do you know the owns of the. Hospital and my name is vivian ora holland and my age is 65 and I am leaving in Camden Tennessee at one 130 turnpike
To my knowledge, a foreign company owns the property. I'm not sure exactly who, but I know that the place will eventually have to be demolished. There's way too much damage to repair the place.

This hospital is scheduled to be demolished sometime in June of 2021, glad you made a video of it before it's completely gone!
Had no idea. That kinda sucks all that history being torn down but hopefully they can reuse that land for something good
It’s still standing went the other day
@@jsvlogs1176 yea same. Still not demolished. May as well be though. It’s completely destroyed on the inside.
Still up to this day but fence is up in certain places
Wonder what happened 🤔... it's still there
That was fantastic! Great camera work and narration! I love it when I watch something and learn the facts behind it. Looking forward to your next one...

I call that trusting your gut. Always a good idea to follow it.

I’ve been by it many times since we filmed this. Definitely not as cool as the first time, but still brings back so many good memories.
10:35 I see Oscar has been practicing his skyrim npc impressions.
Yea he took an arrow that day lol
What a cliffhanger. Can't wait for the next one. Hopefully you guys end up finding the morgue if there is one.
Thanks! I hope we find it too lol

@@ConditionOrange bring sage burn it keep bad energy away.
All I can say about there being a morgue or not is that you’ll have to wait until the next video to find out 😬
The fact that people went inside a few years ago and it wasn’t trashed, just shows how disgusting people are. They literally ruined the place in a matter of months.
it has trash inside the ground level stairs it smell bad i seen it
I had some fun times and made some close friends when I worked there in the 90s.
I can’t believe it had a small like movie theater in it this place was awesome to explore
its not there 2024 i seen it the fence gone too the seats taken out
I wonder what the tape was there for at 3:30.
I think it had to do with insulating the walls
It's crazy. I'm an EMT and I drive and ambulance through there so many times a week. Never been inside. Thanks for the video dude!!!
Well now you have! Lol. Thanks for the kind words and thank you for what you do for your community! :)

Every other Thursday :)
2 of my great grandparents passed away @ this hospital, in the middle 70's
That metal looking stuff on floor was not for xray protection...I was tech there. So sad...it was a great place to work.
guessing this is the hospital in Birmingham al...at least that what it looks like
it was a great hospital back in the day... sad what happened to it:(( thanks for posting
Wish I could’ve seen it! Thanks for checking us out :)
It wasn't that long ago 🤣🤣🤣
sad thing is you probably get better care here now, than any other hospital in Bham. Medical service is horrible now days!
I just don't understand why people have to destroy places.
Some people just wanna see the world burn I guess. It’s sad to see..

Caraway hospital was creepy before it was abandoned, I lived right by the emergency room and school.

Been there many times back years ago when it was open
some clothes and suitcase was taken i seen it was there the parking deck area
they stuff in the parking deck i seen it the fence gone now

And that is why I don’t wish to be a helicopter pilot.
@@ConditionOrange Right your are bro.
Never knew it had its own morgue
Someone should have just made it one big haunted house place
Yea turn it into something other than nothing. Unfortunately the place is way too far gone. Way too unsafe to even repair. Best case scenario is demolition unfortunately.
@@ConditionOrange and it all happened fast 🤣
2008 wasn't that long ago smh
My grandma lives around that area & I’ve always wanted to go on the inside
go now the fence gone
Id this still there? Or was it torn down
yes some of it still there buildings not torn down yet
I would like to go explore into Carraway. Did you have to ask someone to get in? If so how can I contact him
u walk on but b careful
i walk inside often kinda errie tho
2:36 looks like something out of Rage.
I really wanted to come here. Kinda mad they demolished it
They are tearing it down right now..the city is going to use the space for other things
At 1036 u see a shadow on the door way to the right when they are saying hello right before the locked door creepy
Me and my li cousin just passed the hospital and we seen somebody flashing a flashlight on top of a building we can tell a ghost was there
Had my gall bladder removed there
that was a cop in the parking deck they are inside the back side area
Heartbreaking 💔
Quick question: why are all of the abandoned hospitals made out of brick?
I imagine it had to do with the time period in which they were built.
Because cement wasn’t invented yet …
