What a road down memory lane! I grew up at 35th and Northern and was a teenager when Hobby Bench opened. It was and as far as I can tell it's still the greatest hobby shop in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Thanks for sharing and I will subscribe to your channel.
What a great and interesting channel. As a guy who just dabbles in model rocketry I love the videos. I’d love to have you on a WHO’s in the shop this year to talk rockets!!
Great having a look in a hobby store , shame there were no,old out of production kits to find . Look forward to your Falcon 9 build . Im in the U.K. and got a couple of early kits , they have great customer service at Max Q as they are sending me the clear fins to replace the black ones my kits came with. I’m interested in the replacement part you have , I’m wondering if my kits need that too ? May be compare the two bits in your build video ? 👍
Nice stroll through memory lane. Seems like I was just at that store last month………. LOL. Great stuff! Can’t believe you just missed seeing Lee! Bummer! Hopefully next time you can see him. Glad to see you joined the Max Q Club! Just curious, what are you using to glue yours with?
@modelrockets3215 The only Falcon 9 to carry the NASA worm logo was the 1st to carry men to the ISS, and unfortunately is the booster that flipped over due to high seas and winds on the recovery barge. I saw the NASA worm was included. That WAS Booster 1058. I just realized I typoed and put 1028. Sorry.
@modelrockets3215 I don't know if on both sides but I found a bunch of pictures of it by searching Bing and using "Falcon 9 B1058". It was also their most experienced booster to date with 19 successful missions.
Lee Piester’s Store … EPIC !
Great that your wife shares the rocket experience with you.
Nice video - great filming too!
Thanks. Something different this time.

They have a pretty solid selection. I am fortunate enough to currently live within driving distance of eRockets warehouse.

I actually forgot to compare the 2. I noticed the old one fits the grid fins better. Question can you get Estes products and engines in the U.K. ?
I highly recommend Duncans R.C.... 7146 N. 35 ave
I heard about that place. I have to go for sure

Right in. I used CA in my Falcon 9
There is no more mom and pop hobby stores left in my area anymore. It's a shame.
Are you going to build B1028?
I'm not what that is?

Ooooh! I saw that story and is aware of that booster falling over. Does it have Space X on One side and the worm logo on the other?

The print quality on the space x rocket needs improvement imo.
It's not too bad. I had a few issues. With the fit of the grid fins. They are loose and I won't fly with them in place.
