I got a feeling it went like this.. Someone bought a bunch of vintage electronics, didn’t test them, listed them on Amazon, had way too many returns, got kicked off Amazon, had a storage unit full of this junk, had to get rid of it fast before they pay another month of storage; then their friend said “Hey no problem I know this guy on RUclips who makes bad decisions all the time, we’ll just get ahold of him, tell him it all works, he’ll drive 3 1/2 hours and buy it all, problem solved”. Then the guy was like “No way someone would drive that far and buy it all without testing anything.” And his buddy said. “ You’re wrong, you don’t know Dave, he’ll happily do it.”

This is not fake behavior. I was like this for at least my first 49 years. I’m 70 now and I have gotten better, but only because I can’t move as far or as fast, can no longer drive, and have to factor all this into any wild scheme I come up with. Thus, I think for longer and make better decisions. Enjoy your process and don’t have regrets is all I can advise.

Funniest thing. Immediately after the words "People are sick of being nickeled and dimed with these streaming services....." , RUclips cut to an ad for Disney Plus. Gotta love Big Brother watching you all the time...LOL

Why on earth do you offer free shipping on larger items? You must enjoy shipping to the west coast from Florida.

    • @FaithG-s1f
      @FaithG-s1f 28 дней назад

The cost of shipping is including in the base cost, which makes people attracted to buying the product because it appears cheaper. "Free shipping" almost 100% of the time means they bumped the based price. I could sell you a bike for 350$ and 20$ shipping, or i can just sell you a 370$ bike with "free" shipping. Get it?

I've been selling since 2011 casually, I would never have more than 50-60 items listed at a time. With that being said I could make a sale maybe 2-3 times a month and I was happy with that. The past 5 years it has been a sale maybe every couple of months.

I have been able to fix vcr’s in about 5-10 minutes just by opening them up and spinning the head. Time can cause these items to kinda stick. I have a bunch I didn’t fix. Not that it works for your business, just thought I’d throw that out there if you have someone that needs something to do. Good luck.

Get one of those old school universal remotes that works for thousands of makes and models. Because so many devices will work remotely that do not work by manually pushing the buttons on the unit. Also for those vhs units with "tracking" issues or that dont play at all, clean the heads with a head cleaner and this often solves playback problems.

I got a Vretti doesn't have bluetooth and I had to use a different driver then the one they provided but for the $54 I paid for it totally worth it compared to $150-200 for a Rolo. I bet the bluetooth not working is a driver issue because on the install you can choose between like 50 different printers and there's no way to tell the difference between them. The diagnostic software they provide is pretty helpful if you can get it to work.

BEWARE ANYONE considering selling on eBay now. eBay is charging sellers as part of its sales fee the percentage on sales tax a buyer of your item(s) paid. I just discovered this on a sale of golf irons. eBay added the Tennessee sales tax to the price I charged (I sold paying for shipping as well) 13.25% (which eBay doesn't inform you of or I wouldn't have sold these). It charged me a total of $93.58 an actual 14.51% not the 13.25% it disclosed after the sale.
I am personally done with eBay. I have spent tens of thousands of 4 since it started. Not another penny from me. This is based on ethical principles. eBay has ZERO Ethical standards and too low to respond to my complaint of this covert rip off. Sell elsewhere there's plenty of options!

I wish this will be a lesson for the future. Impulsive buying rarely works. Especially if they want you to drive 3,5 hours. Especially if you have to stay in the pricy hotel. You said yourself, you dont do electronics, so why even bother? Fomo can be a huge deal, but you need to learn how to ignore it.
And another thing - dont trust people who tell you that yeah they tested it. Test it yourself. Better safe than sorry. And if someone is rushing you - just leave. Decisions made in a rush are often not that great and most likely they want you to buy it before you realise that there is a catch...

Ebay is totally ran on China factory sellers that DO NOT Pay usa sales taxes like American sellers have to .
Another situation is that Ebay runs your Funds through a Amsterdam money system that distributes your payout allowing ebay to get tax free interest YEP just like money laundering..
Paypal was a Direct deposit from the sale and was a USA based company ..When does it END when does the US government step in ...
China sellers from factories are set up in a office loaded with Ebay accounts under different seller names lowering and raising prices yes PRICE FIXING ...
Shipping cost from china is Fixed also ..
Best advantage agents china ran ebay is to contact your politicians and put a stop to the price fixing and TAX EVASION out of china..Ebay should be liable
