- A late arrival and early rise made for an interesting night up on Dale Head. The wind was a gentle and atmosphere very blue with a slight mist, however I woke to an amazing sunrise, fire spinning and an american traveller who needed some help. Fantastic night once again and will be sure to visit this Fell very soon.

Cheers Mark yeah its an awesome place and perfect to kick back and take in the views. Yeah she was from San Francisco and a really canny lass, travelling the Europe. She took a bit if a funny turn with the thought of the tick but a little water and she was fine. Removed the tick laced in alcohol gel and all good. Great experience tbh. Nice short cinematic one there pal..was trying to work out where you pitched,was it a bit further off summit on Hindscarth side.cracking views up there ain't there especially newlands valley.that could be my next camp up there on high spy taking in catbells & maiden moor.that moonrise looked awesome mate & so did the sunrise they are so relaxing to watch..them ticks mate they're nasty little shits,although I've never had one on me touch wood.fancy bumping into a nice looking lass up there eh 😉 gud un that Steve tfs pal.atb & we'll get another outing sorted soon..Andy.

Cheers mate, yeah nice up there full of false summits on the way up though 😂 made worse by being in a mad rush. So after the climb up a few beers with some music and views was just what the Dr ordered 👌. Highly recommend it. Atb Steve
That looked perfect. It’s one I’ve still not done. The long slog up always puts me off lol
Ha tbh it's not too bad but with it being a constant incline it feels more of a challenge. Mind you once at the top you soon forget about the slog up and the views are breathtaking. Definitely going back up maybe in the snow to see what it's like at that time of year.

I’ve walked up dale head over 20 times (3 camps) and I’ll never tire of that view over newlands valley. Stunning. Cracking weather you got and perfect sun ☀️ behaviours. Always carry a tick twister Just in case. Atb mate.
I totally understand that now some of the finest views going, relentless climb up like lol. I'll defo be going g back up in winter as I bet it looks totally different again. Mind tbh it's one of your vids that I spired me to try it mate and so glad I did. I had a tick card on me but what a waste of time that was, I'll get a twister thingy 👌. 😂 too rights but only a small tick lol. Yeah it's a pull and a half too, full of false summits and when the light is fading and not a breathe of wind it's a challenge. But what a place, I'll certainly be back out up there in the near future. Hope you're well, ATB Steve
