- With the extension of the bottom link bars once you install the Pat's Quick Hitch your top link will more than likely not be long enough. This video will show you just how to fix that problem so you don't have to wait around for the top link to arrive late and slow you down with your work once you get the Pat's Hitch. #tractor #tractorvideo #tractorparts #farming

Great video! I just recently started mowing without the top link and it follows the land better in my opinion! 👍🏽😊❤️🇺🇸
Great idea. My terrain is too irregular for me to do that. Have a great week
Hey buddy, i did a video covering this topic! It just bombed
I’ve been happy with my results. Thanks.
You could always use a chain instead of a top link , long enough that the mower hangs slightly down at the back when lifted off the ground.
This will allow the back wheel and the lower arms to control the cutting height and the lose chain will allow it to float.
I've had Pat's quick hitches for several years and love them.
Thanks for the tip. Ive used the chain on a past tractor with a traditional connect but didn't think about that with this. Thanks again. Have a great day.
Yep same thing happened to me. Had to get a extended one for my Kubota L3000. Thank for making the video. The pats system is nice for sure.
The Pats system is so much better than I even imagined. Really nice people that run it as well. Thanks for the feedback. Have a great week.
Thanks for the information and link.
Glad to help. I love this system as I mentioned. Wish I had it twenty years ago. Have a great week.
Appreciate. I am new to this and have not changed out any implements yet. Seems most people love quick hitch, but i bet I'll have the same issue. The other issue I'll probably have is fitting it in the trailer with the extra 6 inches. As it is, i have to remove the back wheel and bar from the brush cutter to fit it in now.
Good luck. Thanks for the positive feedback. Can you not leave the back gate off the trailer and just strap it down good? Have a great week and thanks again.
So, before you put the Pat's EC on, your toplink was extended about all the way out and ready to fall apart, anywhilst. So, you still needed a top link.
yes, but it was also a stock top link. maybe it would have worked but I'm not running equipment with just a few treads on the link. Some may be good with it but I can't take the chance and the change was minimal cost. Hope this helps. have a great day.
