    The Roborock S5 only comes with the gravity tank, meaning water will trickle down towards the pad. So it's important that you remove the water tank after every run or risk having a puddle of water. The S5 Max solves this with its electronic water tank that will only release water to the pad when the vacuum is running.

    The biggest difference between the first and second-generation Xiaomi is the app improvements and app. But performance remains the same even with a power upgrade. However, the RoboRock has a carpet mode option that increases suction on carpet.
    Some people have asked if the First gen Xiaomi had the zone cleanup and it does not. Only the RoboRock has that features and other feature upgrades.

    It's worth to mention that the 1st generation got the software update and now has also zone cleanup, like the v2 :)

      what about the virtual app wall, where you can draw a line or a box it shall not clean... Im on an Ipad and here it only zone cleaning.
      the magnetic strip is a no go and there are no hurdles for not implementing virtual wall in the app on v1 as its only software related now that they have implemented zone cleaning on gen1

    • @16klu
      @16klu 5 лет назад +1

      @@JAKOB1977 As a workaround, you can use zones as virtual walls and you can add up to 5 zones per cleanup. Maybe in the future they will implement software virtual wall, but this is the question for Xiaomi product managers or developers. :)

    So far so good with this vacuum. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx8ISPQRRAfpAaX4msGjyodObTBnlj4T5g I was a little concerned to find it seems to be all plastic, but the reviews were good, so I'm hoping for the best. Very easy to assemble Recommened, and only attachments I've used so far work well, and are easy to use. Doing a good job on the new carpet in my bedrooms and stairs. Works well on the hardwood on my main floor too. Reasonable weight and cord length. I already knew from an earlier review that it wouldn't fit under furniture, but I can use my Eufy for that, so no problem - the high traffic areas that need a stronger suction was really what I bought this for. If it continues as it's started, it will be a good buy and well worth the money. I have had two Shark Rocket stick vacs in the past that are super easy to use, but the motors just don't last well, even with scrupulous cleaning of the filters. I'm hoping for better with this Bissell.

    I know has been a long time since this video. The first generation is by far better in navigation and "dealing" with obstacles. It's lacks the mopping function but anyway. The second generation also is a little taller than the first, this minimum difference makes a great difference in underneath what can clean or not. I have the 2 models since 2019 and I have to "Nanny" the 2nd Gen every time its working. I have many equipment at my house and the floor it's not perfectly flat.. First Gen have not issue with any obstacles. I repeat by far better. Both are using latest firmware update. Greetings from Asunción Paraguay

    they have reason to change the charging port . the second gen have mop pad and water tank so they don't want it lock it up in the charger . and the robot with the charger port on the side never be in front of the robot when it moving . because they dont want the contact port hit to the metal material so the - port will connect to + port

  • @WillieStrok3r

    FYI, the 2nd Gen has the wheel springs flipped compared to the 1st Gen. This improves the climbing ability of the vacuums dramatically.
    The 1st Gen has trouble climbing thresholds in between rooms and thicker carpets. The 2nd Gen climbs these considerably better because of the aforementioned wheels spring mechanism being flipped.

    The vídeos are very good! I actually have one doubt! What’s the best to buy considering the cost and benefits? The first generation update and now can use the zone clean, so it’s almost the same! What’s the biggest diference between they?(not considering the mop option)(is the mop is really useful or not? How many times I have to fill up the reservatory to clean a 84m2 apartment in medium?) thanks

    Strange result because the 1st generation didn't remove most of the oats in the left corner. That was more than 1 gram. So it does not add up. The second generation picked up more but according to the balance, it picked up less. I find that strange. Maybe your balance is not very accurate?

    the gen1 filter is 98% effective and gen2 is 95% for allergic people is a pro that they can pick up the gen1 filter that put fewer dust particles out in the air.
