Normally for a Double Overbid, during the 1972-2007 era, Bob Barker, beginning around circa November/December 1972, would leave the stage and make his near exit towards the studio audience, stopping for a few moments to shake hands, sign some autographs, chat with them, etc. This was one of the very few episodes that Drew didn't do that.
True story: I attended a taping of The Price Is Right in June 2005 where a Double Overbid happened in the Showcase and managed to shake hands with the late Bob Barker and he said to me, “Matthew, keep watching!”
Nancy, let's start with you. You bid $25,200. Actual retail price: only $20,643. (Buzzer) You're over by about $4,500. $4,557 to be exact June, you bid $23,495. Actual retail price: I hate saying this but it's $23,448 (Buzzer). You're over by $47.
I only like hearing to hear the bass buzzer followed by the losing horns, since the bulk of their games use the tenor buzzer followed by the losing horns.
Whoa 😳 and for the one last to be over by less than $100. That had to be a huge disappointment!

The Loser Horns playing after the second over bid is like adding salt to a wound!
Lol, I think there was one episode where they didn't play the losing horns in spite of a double overbid.
$23,495...and it's $23,448. A $47 overbid, ouch. 😫😫
So close and yet so far - Frankie Valli, "My Eyes Adored You", 1974.
Bummer for the both of them!! 😖
*HEY MICHAEL TAYLOR... NO TECHNICAL WIN!*
Ouch on the second contestant who is over by $47. Boo hiss.
I know that
Had it been a $94 swing the other direction she would have had a DOUBLE-DOUBLE (DOUBLE SHOWCASE). That hurt like a poison arrow.

Why did she add the 95? She would have won both showcases if she bid 23400 instead of 23495
Saw a video a while back that I can't find now, she said she had a batch of irratable bowel that day and was nervous.
0:21-0:24 OUCH... June was over by $47.
I bet Mike and Evelyn were laughing all the way to the bank after this show.
Well, Evelyn, at least, since she now runs the production of the show!!!
June was over by 47 bucks

*losing horns*
Double Overbid showcases can be painful to watch.
This one's painful for me to watch
I only like hearing to hear the bass buzzer followed by the losing horns, since the bulk of their games use the tenor buzzer followed by the losing horns.
What's ironic is the second contestant was over just by a little
47 lousy, heart-breaking bucks, to be exact.
So close and yet so far - Frankie Valli, "My Eyes Adored You", 1974.
Also the look on her face was the look of "Oh my gosh. I am never gonna live this down"

A double painful showcase from January 29, 2019.
Is it just me, or is that buzzer louder than usual?
It was a double over today as well.
This was a bloody mess of a show. 1/6, a painful loss on Bag, and a DOB (including a PAINFUL $47 OVERBID). Thankfully, Do The Math saved it.
This Episode wasn't very good except for Cody who won all his prizes on Do the Math!
Drew is Mr. Non-involved.
a $47 heartbreaking overbid.

That almost looks like Double Showcase Winner.
I hate DOUBLE OVERBIDS especially June was over by $47.
DREW CAREY: $23,448. (Mrrrrrrp)
Sorry to read that aloud.
$23498
Uh nuts
