- We stopped into Firebrand Recording Studios in St Louis for this quick session. Playing the 1966 Fender Stratocaster through the Khan Pak Amp and my Marshall 4x12 with Greenbacks. Pedals - Vox Tonebender, Vox Wah, Jekyll Hyde, H2O.
Killer version gents! Lovin that Khan tone.

Obeid is truly at a different level than most guitarists around St. Louis. Nothing against them but he’s been playing live for 30 plus years in numerous bands. As has george Potsos.... and they’re nice guys too.
Just first now heard about him (and I live in STL, but don’t get out much). He’s beyond fantastic. I can’t even believe how good that playing is. It’s very inspiring and very intimidating at the same time. Wow. Bonamassa ain’t nothin’ but white noise compared to Obeid

Nice tone from that Strat. I was a bit surprised how thick you had it sounding. If I hadn’t known, I would have guessed humbuckers. My Strat setup is more Robin Trower-ish. Nothing like the sound of a beat to crap Marshall cab!

Fucking badass...superb playing and nailed PT tone. This guy builds killer amps and my reason bambino is absolutely my go to amp and will never part with it. Looking forward to the PAK amp. Wish i knew exactly what effects were used to produce this tone....

The 1966 strat is very dark and different sounding, sounds dead when you play it acoustically. Through an amp it is huge. First pedal is my secret weapon (not so secret anymore) the VOX tonebender is the sharp single coil pickup modifier that turns it into a thick wooly but tight attacky tone. I modulate the volume on guitar between 8-9 to belnd sharpness and thick compression as I play, I am constantly adjusting the tone from skinny sharp cut to full bodied thick mush....The next pedal is a jekyll hyde and it blends nicely with the amp breakup, H2O gives a slight warble for the PT sound and PAK amp (classic 4 input style) and greenbacks finish the delivery of sound.
