Arda is okay at 5 in my opinion because he missed 3/4 of the season, I get that the Euros weigh heavily because of recency bias, but a lot of the guys on that list like Zaire-Emre and Yoro were crucial players for their teams and played a lot of minutes. Pau Cubarsi being outside the top 10 is low-key laughable because in terms of impact at club level only Savio, Lamine and maybe Garnacho had a greater impact on their team, Barca literally went on a 13 game unbeaten run after Cubarsi became a first team regular so it's crazy to see guys like Thel or Guler ranked ahead of him because while these guys were warming the bench, Cubarsi was balling and shutting down guys like Osimhen, Morata back to back as a 17 year old. Kid was so good, Barca literally had to beg Spain not to take him to the Euros. So for me the top 5 should have looked something like this Yamal Savio Emery Yoro Garnacho These 5 played the most minutes and were arguably the most important players for their teams right from the start of the season that should count more than whether or not you were able to start for your national team at a tournament because in the case of Garnacho, Yoro and Emery, the competition is too much to expect regular minutes at such a young age. The remaining top 10 spots would then go to Mainoo Cubarsi Guler Joao Neves Endrick The rest of the list can look however 😂

If he’s getting any major recognition it’s because of his performances with Turkey. Arda is okay at 5 in my opinion because he missed 3/4 of the season, I get that the Euros weigh heavily because of recency bias, but a lot of the guys on that list like Zaire-Emre and Yoro were crucial players for their teams and played a lot of minutes. Pau Cubarsi being outside the top 10 is low-key laughable because in terms of impact at club level only Savio, Lamine and maybe Garnacho had a greater impact on their team, Barca literally went on a 13 game unbeaten run after Cubarsi became a first team regular so it's crazy to see guys like Thel or Guler ranked ahead of him because while these guys were warming the bench, Cubarsi was balling and shutting down guys like Osimhen, Morata back to back as a 17 year old. Kid was so good, Barca literally had to beg Spain not to take him to the Euros. So for me the top 5 should have looked something like this

Outstanding talent, played so well when he was brought into the team, and look what has happened to him since, injuries are having a significant impact on his career. I personally think Arda Guler’s impact at this Euro is overstated. He was incredible that first game but the rest of the games it was not he that made the difference for Turkey. They have a good and coordinated team, Guler carried no one anywhere. Had he not been playing for Real Madrid but for Villarreal we would not be talking about any of those performances. I don’t even think it’s comparable to what Yamal did, for example. Naturally, Lamine Yamal at 1. is absolutely fair. Mainoo should be higher, not higher than Zaire-Emery, but probably top 5 though. Savio at 4 is a great shout. Endrick… idk… he’s top 10 for sure but 2 is probably very generous.
