Yes, improving the squad is the key to challenging in multiple competitions. More precisely increasing the number of players in the squad who have the quality to start a game. This is what gives you the ability to manage workloads and make tactical changes for individual games. Also most importantly it this that helps bring consistency of performance to the team as it determines the number of potential combinations available while minimising any drop in performance. Without this you won't challenge for titles and cup runs become more a matter of luck, or requires a focus on one competition over the others. By my reckoning we had 15 such players at the end of last season. Potential we have 4 more with Bergvall, Gray, Solomon and possibly Spence, without considering Academy prospects and new signings. So, say we sign 2 more viable starting options, that means Ange potentially has more than 20 players to consider when selecting his starting 11. That to me is starting to sound exciting, especially when you consider there's at least a couple of Academy players Ange can consider. I think it's most telling that all the players being allowed to move on, while extremely good ones, are players who only provide service off the bench or when a large number of the starting players are missing. There is a place for some players like this in your squad, but at the end of last season we had too many of them and the improvement of the squad comes from increasing the numbers of those who can start.
For this Spurs fan top 4 in EPL means more than domestic cups. You can win the cup by luck. Top 4 in PL means you've performed well throughout whole season. Participation in UCL is a recruitment magnet for top young players. "Ange ball" needs highest quality 6, and lethal attackers to outscore opposition, because he chooses to expose our defenders to danger of lost possesion in high pressing. "Ange ball" is the system that makes "Conte ball" super effective.
Very good chance at Carabao Cup , Europa League, or both! The timing of the FA Cup is problematic, as Ange will be under pressure to focus his resources on shooting for top 4 PL finish and Europa League.
I dont know if supporting the club since 2019 makes me a new supporter, but ive been there pretty much since the downfall. But for once i actually believe. If not this season, then next season. We WILL win

The problem with our defense wasnt the starting back line ( udogie, vdv, romero and porro ) they let in just slightly over a goal a game, which puts us pretty high up the league for defense It was the bench. Emerson royale filled in at rb and was inconsistent at best, and really wasnt up to it at cb. Meanwhile, ben davies had to play lb and vdv's side of cb, and he isnt attacking enough or fast enough for either of those. If we can get another cb for depth, alongside radu, spence and another lb maybe, our defense will improve considerably if we're lucky with injuries.
It's massive revisionism to say we were bad in Conte's final season. We were 3rd/4th when he was sacked, and he was sacked because he said what needed to be said.
