Kante was like 3 players, while mahrez and vardy were like 2 players each. By the number leicester had 15 players versus 11 players all season. They were so special, diamonds in the rough
It’s crazy how people didn’t give Kante a second look until he was with Leicester. He is such a good player, and won so much in the lower leagues and in youth, but was overlooked.
@@user-zm9xf7mo4p the left back also, christian fuchs i think played a big part. Also CB pairing wes morgan and robert huth were on their top form. Schmeichel was solid as well
It so happened that in 2015/16. the top clubs and even upper-mid table sides were either underperforming (ie. Chelsea), had injury issues (Man Utd), or were undergoing a transition from old veterans to young players (Arsenal, Man City) The other thing is that those "cheap" Leicester players just sort of happened. Vardy was struggling with goals the season before, then just started scoring for fun. The slow, mistake prone back four suddenly found confidence to defend aggressively on the front foot. Drinkwater had one hell of a season, never to replicate such performance ever again. Mahrez, Albrighton and Kante found confidence in their weak foot, making them much less predictable. Even the bit part players like Schlupp and Demarai Gray were unstoppable when they did play.
Maybe the Claudio reneri just suited the club. Seems like he was able get Everything right and as soon as he left they could never reached the same level.
Also they had a lot of players who were always quality, but some were always disregarded. Kante was always disregarded due to his very short stature. Kasper Schmeichal being son of Peter schmiechal would have always made it to the top. Jamie Vardy struggled a lot with alcoholism during his youth. These 3 should have already been at the top teams.
@@Zahrul3 well, Arsenal were one of Leicester competitors along with City and Spurs. Can't really mentioning despite Costa alone is worth more than the whole Leicester squads (and he's not even top 5 most valuable prem players behind Hazard, Di Maria, KDB, Aguero, Falcao, and Sanchez). And yes both Manchester giants are the most expensive squads in football clubs that season along with Chelsea above 350M.
They didn't just win it, they won it by 10 points! That's nearly 10% more than 2nd. It wasn't even close. This is what makes it more amazing. I was lucky and had a chance to learn a lot from their psychologist at the time. I did a small video on it many years ago. Feel free to check it out 😊
"Jamie Vardy was signed the previous season for £1M" makes it seem like you're saying he was signed the season before 15/16. I know what you were trying to say here, but I would have made it clear that Vardy came in in 2012, a season and a half before Mahrez.
@joelinden1482 Hmm I'm not sure 58 people would agree with you on that. And if it's a waste of time, may I suggest that you use your time more effectively?

I mean, didn’t ’help’ exactly you just secured the title for them 1 game early, they were still 11 points clear, though the Tottenham result actually helped Arsenal finish 2nd above Tottenham, how tf did Tottenham finish 3rd is a ‘2 horse race’ 😭🤣 can’t get more spursy than that.
The fact it was the lowest winners point total in over 10 years, as well as later on Liverpool getting 96 (I think it was 96 anyway) and 92 points and not winning a league, really shows how unlikely this league win really was. What an odd season. Don’t let that distract everyone from the fact, Tottenham finished 3rd in a 2 horse race. 😂

This is probably the greatest achievement in football as the Prem performs at such a high level and it’s just not possible to win it by some sort of fluke as there are 38 games to win it with so many overlooked and almost unknown players is miraculous
@@pranvsharma Not to sound cocky but you and I know that if Pep was in the league at that time Leicester's 76pts or even so below 90 wouldn't win the league
