Ever since I've bought myself the kindle paperwhite signature edition, it has helped my reading pace and just my overall interest in reading again. Great video! Kindle for life!
i just got a kindle paper white and already love it more than physical never thought i’d say that bc i was against e reading lol but now i can read so much more and the font customization and being able to read in the dark plus i can now read several books at once and not get overwhelmed or confused and also get distracted a lot less i love it it’s renewed my love for reading
I've been saying for forever that I enjoy ebooks waaaay more than physical books and people kept calling me crazy, and kept saying that an ebook could never compare to a physical book. Happy that more and more people are agreeing with me now haha
I'm the same way. If a book is physical I'll struggle to pick it up or finish it. But when it's digital I can almost binge it in one sitting. I have unread physical books that have been on my shelf for years. I'm probably going to have to rebuy them on kindle to finally read them.
I lost some of my vision in my left eye last year. I can’t read a physical book because of the font size and I find it frustrating to try and find a good light source to read by. The Kindle allows me to adjust the font and the front light.
I love my Kindle Paperwhite 😊 I like holding a book but I also find trouble reading a book and it's not the book it's other things/me. When I got my kindle I read through so many books within a week. It also helps with the dictionary I feel like I can understand better than just shrug and guess what a word means. Then the size of a book won't intimidate me or make me feel like I'm getting no where bc the kindle is slim 💞 so it's much more chill I can read pages whenever and wherever
I don’t like to read some books either! I always said it was font size, but you’ve made me realize sometimes it’s just the font itself! I love my kindle for that reason alone! Of course there are many other reasons. Hahaha
I never understood the argument of physical books having that “smell or touch” that I often heard about. That physical smell or that physical touch. I’m not trying to sleep with the book, I just want to read. Kindles make it easier for me to read.
i enjoyed your video but i mostly like the physical books, you know the feeling of the book , touching the paper is somehing else :D , btw i like your haircolor n background
Thank you! I appreciate that I definitely see what you're talking about and i have actually started to transition into physical books more. I like both and I'll definitely still use my kindle quite a lot. It's really nice with books holding them is much nicer than the kindle and I also feel like I absorb the words better on physical paper
@@olivia-olsen yes definitely, i bumped to this video randomly now im seeing your earliest videos and i see that I just started my utube channel and bought a sony alpha iv ( i see that yours is alpha 7s3 ) but i record my oldest videos with my phone i didnt have the chance to record new video’s because i live in Iran i dont know if u know that or not , there’s lots of problems here in these past 3 month in here ( revolution n these kind of stuff with gov and internet issues and etc..) but i have lots of ideas that i want to make videos of’em , im thinking of making a new channel and do this in english not in persian ( im a English literature student here ) because the persian community here is much smaller than english…
Totally agree! I've always had bad eyes and these days it's nearly impossible for me to read a dead tree book. Last time I remember having to read a paperback (power had gone out and the Kindle wasn't charged so I got desperate) I was actually tapping on the page looking for my dictionary, then wondered where my backlight was as it got dark :D Besides those conveniences, the Kindle is just lighter and easier to transport and hold.
A dead tree back lmao that is so funny I have transitioned more over to physical books but I still love my kindle! I don't have any eye problems so I obviously don't know what it's like but it's amazing you're still able to read
Hello, Olivia! How are you? I prefer buying ebooks for my Kindle Paperwhite 5 (2021 model)over buying physical books. I can bring my Kindle to work and read during my super long breaktimes. I don't have to worry about people snooping in my physical books. I am not a native Spanish speaker, like English is not your first language. A large Danish-American community exists in Council Bluffs, Iowa, which is across the Missouri River from Omaha, Nebraska. I encourage you to travel there sometime!
It's the best! I personally don't have that issue with my eyesight but it can be very difficult for me to read if the font is too small. Doesn't matter if I like the context of the book either
Same. I tried to read a physical book again and I hated it. The font was too small, I couldn't easily look up words in the dictionary and the weight of the book made it uncomfortable to handle.
i also prefer reading the e-books than physical ones, but one downside of kindle is you can’t annotate on it very easily and annotating is very helpful to understanding of the book, so I think reading the pdf version on iPad might be also a good choice because you can use the Apple Pencil.
Absolutely! That is the one big downside i have of the kindle because I love it, but I much prefer tapping books and adding notes. If I'm reading a book I want to take notes on I either just highlight the area and just makes in my book notes list on notion instead. Because i always have a lot to say 😅
I have tried reading on kindle several times but just couldn’t get a hang of it the feel of a physical book was missing plus having something to read on another screen after spending most of my time on my laptop or phone as a student just gets me into a cycle of guilt trip maybe in future i may get used to it
I used to a very strict kindle user but now I prefer physical books! I just think the kindle is really good to have, and it will vary from person what is best for them
I am very poor and also homeless, so I have neither the money to buy physical books nor the space to store physical books, so I’ve been happily reading on my Kindle. Kindle books are much cheaper.
I love my kindle I have dyslexia and really bad eyes I use to read when I was much younger all the time but stopped when my eyes got bad I was gifted a kindle and loved that you can change the front size

Yeah I've been going back and forth between the both but the kindle will always be the easy choice when it comes to reading

haha yup! kindle all the way for me! I love the feeling of the an actual book wayyy more though BUT my kindle makes me read 10x times more

I do love a normal book however I rarely buy them now, just so nice having a kindle
I love being able to make the font size bigger! My eyes aren't the greatest.

I'm so sorry to hear! I'm glad you can still enjoy reading!
I own a tolino and i love it. If you dont want to spend so much money on books, i would recommend getting ebooks from the library. :]
My country doesn't support ebooks sadly otherwise I would've definitely done that
I love my kindle I have dyslexia and really bad eyes I use to read when I was much younger all the time but stopped when my eyes got bad I was gifted a kindle and loved that you can change the front size
I knowww! Being able to change the font size is amazing espically with any eye issues
that's me
I've read more books on my Kindle in half a year than I did in the past 6 years
I agree with everything you said
I'm glad you liked it!
