I know 4K HD is awesome, along with 85" OLED TVs but back then I loved having a Sony 960 VCR with an IR blaster that could change channels on my cable box and record 8 shows that I wanted to see. A 27" TV was pretty much the biggest common home TV size and every video connection was RCA jacks. Things were more primitive back then but you felt like you had more control.
I had a Minolta MVS-140 VCR back around 1990 that had a ton of digital effects including 2x play with audio! It was cool to connect up the cable system (before boxes, just the coax into the house) and have it scan the channels, putting up a digital snapshot of each channel on screen. Stuff that went away with actual digital video/HDTV and the cable boxes.

Well, this is my only television so it is 4K HD to me.
