I would like to recommend everybody to adjust the video speed to 0.75, the rhythm will be more realistic. This is very beautiful anthem! Love South Africa from Vietnam! Hou van Suid-Afrika van Viëtnam
Fredrik Chang I would separate Afrikaans from African languages a bit. Not completely, as it is of course mainly spoken only in Africa, but the roots are in Europe.
@@alexanderfooy723 the language developed in Africa, so technically it is an African language but still part of the Indo-European language family. Much like Malagasy, it is a Southeast Asian (Austronesian) language but developed in Africa, so it is also an African language.
+TheSpitfire109 The South African version of Nkosi Sikelel i'Afrika is the actual Nkosi Sikelel i'Afrika, combined with die Sten van Suid Afrika. If you wanna listen to the original, try listening to the version of Transkei. They only use Nkosi sikelel i'Afrika.
Nah, he called the song in correctly either way. They used to have Nkosi Skilele and Die Stem as anthems but in 1997 they combined it into one anthem titled The National Anthem of South Africa.
Loved it more when it was a tad longer prior to that change. When we had a full verse of both Nkosi Sikelel I'Afrika and Die Stem Van Suid Afrika altogether. Wouldn't have minded either if the main English verse of The Call of South Africa was affixed at the end for an ultimate anthem trinity.
I'm a Nigerian 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬 but I love the South African national so much so that I can sing it word for word. Nkosi Sikelel I'Africa!!!
I love you South Africa!!!!! Blacks, whites, Asian, Indian, South Africa it's our land!!!! . We are South Africa!!!!!!!
that beautiful African scenery in background tho

Afrikaans means African, and for a reason, otherwise we'd be calling it Nederlands which it developed from.
Why aren't Sesotho and Setswana counted as separated languages like isiXhosa and isiZulu?
They’re all African languages 🥲
Thank you 🙏

This is beautiful!
Brilliant , well done.
It was beautiful - in the end I think one tenor got a bit excited, you could hear his voice on top of all other voices. 😊
beautiful
The beginning of "Die Stem" was a bit rushed and chopped, but otherwise very well presented.
OnyxianHeart this entire song is rushed
The announcer made mistake the title of the anthem, later half of this song is "die Stem van Suid Afrika".
***** Thats because its part of the new anthem my friend...
Oliver Druce Yes, but not entire.

Die stem van Suid-Afrika is the only legitimate anthem of South-Africa!
be careful we may just remove Die stem!
