Such a beautiful song, remember being a teenager watching Cry Freedom and beginning to understand that dividing people is never a way to follow. Apartheid, and other systems created to divide us, should allways be fought against.

I don't understand this anthem since it's not in my language, but that has not stopped me from enjoying one of the greatest national anthems of the African continent. We used to play this song in the brass band at my school in Ghana, West Africa, but I never knew it was the South African National Anthem. Whoever put this piece together did a very priceless job and deserve the utmost commendation. #GodBlessAfrica #GodBlessMandela

Prince LOUSSALA. It is indeed a great prayer. My suggestion: all African countries incorporate this prayer in all our Hymnals (of all denominations). It should be translated and sung in all our languages in exactly the way it's sung here in this video; just like we normally sing hymns in our Church congregations. Wouldn't it be great when it is the opening song for ALL our official African co-operational and regional meetings (SADEC; EAC; ECOWAS; AU; etc)? With accompanying instruments, every delegate sings in their own language, yet with the same melody from start to finish. We don't need to wait for one country called: United States of Africa. We can start as from today to get this music score, translate it in our various national languages (including our tribal languages), and ensure all our respective national music departments (Military, Police, etc) can play the instruments and sing this version per excellence. It can be taught (in any vernacular) in all our nursery and primary schools as "The African Anthem". It can be used as opening song in all our international African Sports, Conventions, Business, or any special events or assemblies. I believe it will be great.

beatiful anthem and a tribute to the greatest man to live in the last 100 hundred years.A real pity to hear all the conservatives in Australia and England paying tribute to Mandela when they spent all their time defending apartheid
