I like all your tentative projects... Any improvements, is always a benefit, if it works... I like how you think ! Velcro, or Zipper ? I remembered that, some T-Zips zippers on rafts, have the special lubricants to seal the zippers to make it waterproof. It could probably seal it? Keep sharing your fantastic ideas, Dave...👍
Hi Dave, first off great videos so enjoy see all of your progress. I purchased a Drascombe Long Boat two months ago it is all wrapped up for winter. Looking forward to next year to try out some of your tips and tricks. Paul
Hi Paul. SOrry but this comment seemed to have eluded me!! Sorry for the delay getting back to you. Congrats on the purchase. The Long boat is pretty much a Lugger with about 3 feet extra in length and i'm sure you'll love her. Let me know when you get her out on the water!
Thats our "Rasie 3D" printer. Ironically its cheaper than the Ultimaker. It's not so good at prototyping as the Ultimaker is much quicker at 1 piece, but for manufacturing it's brilliant. The tolerances seem to be better on it too. Its dual nozzle and its party trick is that it can "Mirror" print, so you double the speed of your parts printing the left nozzle miror prints the right one. Quite cool to see that working!! Its very reliable. I can count the failed prints on one hand.
Many thanks. Sometimes I like to buy form the USA and they have no UK postal service, but if you ask they can often sort you out. Postage can be high but if its for something you need then places often send. Maybe worth a try?
The 3D printer is such a handy thing to have for making these one off design projects come to life 👍

Cheers Marc. Yes I agree, something tells me Zippers may be the way to go here?

Thank you for this video. I like your dark red PVC, but I'm wondering if I could find it in France...
