I always thought the Dolls Army was super underrated and super underutilized in the Street Fighter lore they have so much potential thanks for giving them a proper spotlight!🔥🔥🔥
Elena’s incredible animations and their respective exhaustive and impressive creative process that yielded them, is alone enough to fill a video. Coupled with the extra history and development across multiple games ? Would make for a great video. Although I always found her 3d polygon models grotesque, unlike her absolutely gorgeous SF3 animations. So hopefully the video’s use of the modern 3d Elena visuals are limited to only the necessary references lol
With FOX Engine! the makers of Danger Girl game woulda done it. Hey, Queeny Army is a little like shadowloo Dolls, tons of playable girls and they have a dresscode, different but its the nearest thing to a shadowloo dolls game other than playing as female Diamond Dog soldiers in MGSV TPP with a stealthsuit.
I always thought Juni and Juli were named after the months of June and July, and turns out I was right all along. But yeah I love them both and I think they’re underrated in my book. I was glad they were able to get a comeback in SF5. And I hope they turn up in SF6.
I hope someday Street Fighter makes Juli and Juni playable characters again. They should play like Noob Saibot, where one is the main character who takes damage (like Noob), while the other is the "shadow clone" (like Saibot is).

it's interesting how dramatically different Juni and Juli play. I main Juni in SFA3 along with Nash and she really feels like a weird laboratory accident hybrid of a character. she has all sorts of weird moves that don't seem to fit together in a very coherent way, whereas Juni is very "poor" and underwhelming as she only has a couple of moves with boring old command inputs. Juni, in comparison has the Akuma demon flip, an SPD (which is the Earth Direct by the way. Not her air throw. Her air throws are named Air Frankensteiner and Hooligan Suplex), the air and grounded spiral arrow (aerial version being OP and borderline broken), the cannon spike and strike, she has that teleport dash thing and is a charge character on top of it all. She really is like a proto-Decapre.
Juni's origin is from the Cammy History novels by Wani books. However her name is different and in the end she is murdered by Vega (dictator). Decapre's origin is also from this novel but in the book she is known as Jack the Upper. There's a cool fight in the book between her and Cammy on top a moving train. Although these books are not considered game canon they influenced Capcom. And Capcom would pull ideas from them the same way they did from various Street Fighter manga.
Well I clicked excited to see more of the other dolls but at the end I did not even got their names it was more a Juli and Juni documentary it was not bad because they are the ones that appeared more but it was disappointing.
liked the duo in alpha 3 & cammy's story saving them with it fully happening in 5(do wish marz had survived as i love the tech worm look.)/giving a nice offscreen reunion with t. hawk and juli and really love them forming a team with cammy in the comics. if they show up in 6 would be cool seeing them being able to summon the others as attacks & be taught different moves by delta red/e. honda to reference him training them in his ending.
Thanks for uploading. I remember the other names were Noembelu (November) and Decapre (December). Decapre is Russian, while other dolls are Chinese, Vietnamese, probably Brazilian and African.
Technically, the Alpha series wasn't a tournament but just various characters pursuing their own agendas. Aside from that, I definitely didn't expect a video on these two because of how relatively obscure they are
I've always hated how Capcom changed the look of Juni and Juli. (Juni from: Orange hair and brown eyes to blonde hair and blue eyes. Juli from: Brown eyes to blue eyes)
Dear Top Hat Gaming Man or anyone else who feels to respond, The dolls were kidnapped at 16 years old buuuuuttttt T. Hawk is 32 years old as of Street Fighter 2, no? What would that mean?
im not much of a SF fan (more of a tekken guy) but the shadaloo dolls outfit is so hot. i like seeing other characters from different games in them. theres a picture of shionne from tales of arise wearing one
Big Daddy Top Hat blessing us with these stories so we don't have to wade through tons of hentai/rule 34 stuff to know what the hell is going on in these crazy stories.
Since we're getting to characters like the Dolls the question is "will THGM's character history vidoes come out faster than Street Fighter can create interesting characters?" While I don't think there will be a problem with 6 coming out, Capcom needs to keep expanding for THGM's sake. Otherwise THGM will be stuck doing a documentaries on the middle left elephant on Dhalsim's SF2 stage or the lederhosen guys in Hugo's second impact stage.
I wish Capcom added another 10 male characters and 8 another female characters that was apart of shadaloo and also classic characters of street fighter franchise.
Nice show. I always [and still do] lean toward Capcom was hinting that Juni and Juli were either clones or even daughters of M.Bison. Capcom never backed away the aspect of Cammy and Bison being lovers and it wasn't until the GBA version of SF2turbo that Cammy's ending was changed; and they just ignored the lovers ending. As far as we know, Capcom may go back to it in the future. Just because a piece of info is ignored doesn't mean it is retconned-- remember Cammy's original background [how she was found at the gates of M11, and this is the reason she is labeled "English"--not that she is English], that was ignored until Alpha 3. All of the Dolls' backgrounds are the same as Cammy's. And we are shown that Cammy's background itself is faked and was planned from Bison from the start. So, it's not a stretch to say that Cammy's background isn't an origin story, but rather a template for a theme. And to better support this is that it was revisited and the main focus in SF4, SSF4, and SF5. If this is true (as it is showing) then the ending for Juni stands out even more 'cause it was referencing back to Cammy's ending in SSF2 [the lovers ending], because of the special attention given to their connection to Bison. It maybe different now because of the GBA ending of Cammy (which they are ignoring). And now with Decapere being added into the story there is an argument to retro fit they are clones of Bison as well. But to me the child angle makes more sense: What I'm saying is that Capcom tried to used the SF2 ending of Cammy to relate the Dolls to her more so and create an entangled connection between the 4. This connection maybe there still because even in both of the soft reboots of SF4 and SF5 this wasn't retconned out. Instead they went with the link being Psycho Power (which was hinted in the older games as well more so in the crossovers). We know Juni and Juli are special to Bison [just like how Cammy was] because he keeps them near to them seemingly all the time, and gives them two "plot" related missions [they could have been written to be doing anything, but they weren't]. If they are clones, then the other Dolls are most likely clones as well (which Alpha was hinting at), also if they are Bison's children via Cammy, this explains not only the special treatment but also why they resemble Cammy so much unlike the other Dolls. Anyway nice video. Good stuff. P.S. I was under the impression that the Dolls were inspired by the Nazi youth programs of WW2 [I forget the name of the unit]. With the difference being instead of young boys, Bison used young girls.
that lovers stuff was purely capcom usa meddling with the lore. like they loved to do back then. non canon.... tho sf usa cartoon follows that naturally. lmao. yikes. but ya dont remember any canon where cammy feels intimate to him. cammy is a built clone for bison backup body. from his own DNA. i believe it went. the other dolls i think are just stolen from their lands. like thawks girl.
@@ssppeeaarr Yes, she [and the other dolls thanks to the SF4 clarefication] is a backup for Bison-- the first one. The thing is the Clone didn't pop up until much later, but the idea of her being connected to Bison was kept, and that connection "evolved". Unlike a lot of the Capcom retcons over the years [Sagat's role in Shadoloo, Chun Li's father's death, Charlie's death, etc.] Cammy's lovers angle was never addressed again-- it was ignored. My point is that Capcom liked the idea and kept it on the back burner, and tried to revisit it in Alpha 3. If it is still there, I feel it is up to the player to believe it or not, but Capcom hasn't thrown the idea to the side. My point regarding the Dolls is that their backgrounds match Cammy's, but as the player we know Cammy's background is false-- she wasn't brainwashed or kidnapped. She was born in a lab. My argument is that Cammy's origin isn't a background explanation, but a lit theme introduction. I believe the focus Capcom choose after SSF2T confirms it. The idea was presented to Capcom as far back as the Movies; and Capcom was dropping hints as far back as the crossovers. The chances are high that the Dolls are plants. They were given a mission not told to the player prior of the events of the game, and once done Bison collected them. Biggest proof is that the 1st time the player is allowed (without codes) to canonically play as Cammy is in Alpha 3; where she was in Greece. What is Cammy doing just chilling in Greece? You find out that she had a Mission in Greece, but was stopped by Rose. Before this the player canonically see her in Alpha 2, where she is Bison's personal bodyguard. We are never told what that mission is. Since the Dolls are reflections of Cammy, it is safe to say that Cammy was planted in Greece-- just like how she was planted in M11. From the theme it is safe to say this is for the Dolls as well-- they were plants. And the proof that Capcom is still holding to this idea is Juli. In both of T.Hawk's endings, Juli shows the same server cognitive breakdown as she does in both her's and Juni's endings. If Capcom wanted her to be her own person and do away with the lovers angle, then they would have retconned it in SSF4. But they didn't. They like the idea and they are keeping it. They are just ignoring it for now.
Considering how well that Cammy clone body turns out to be, we can't blame the people of Shadaloo to use the same molde... not to mention is cheaper to buy uniforms that way, *wink wink*. Wondering if you will cover the rest of the dolls, I wish capcom one day decides to make all the dolls playable in a fun way, SFV was close, making the dolls a DLC would have been cool specially if they use the variation system from MK.
Strangely, the DuckTales reboot ripped off some of the Dolls' backstory for some reason. Webby, along with Daisy Duck's nieces, April, May, and June, were somehow female clones of Scrooge McDuck, just as Cammy was also a somehow female clone of Vega/M. Bison/dictator guy. And Daisy Duck's nieces (characters that have been around for decades before the DuckTales reboot) are also named after months of the year. The show would have been a lot better if they'd faithfully adapted Carl Barks' Uncle Scrooge and Donald Duck comics rather than ripping off stuff from video games.
