When the doctor gave Rose’s mum’s medications to the husband explaining how it’s supposed to be used to him that’s made me cry…so touchy. That’s how daughters are supposed to be married, by men who love them and love their families too. He is a good man to be involved with Rose’s mum’s medical needs ❤

If you are lucky to get a good one, he will give you money to go to your mum’s and take her for medical attention. Or he may drive you and wait in the car.
Other than that you are on your own after working and taking care of everyone on his side of the family.
It seems Rose is getting as much love from her husband towards her family as she gives when she is with his family - that’s partnership and love.

I appreciate the insight this channel gives to Chinese people. We only seem to hear negative information in the media when there is so much good that could be reported. All that talk is good but the propaganda is REAL as the Chinese encroach on my people's land and resources with smoke screens of hospitals etc to make the world feel that they're there to help. I think he's seen that Rose would be the same way for his elders... They really look out for each other. This is what long lasting relationships have.
It is an obligation, expectation really in African culture and Chinese culture for sons and daughters to care and be responsible for elder their parents and grandparents including in-laws. Any deviation means you are cursed and misfit. No husband or wife will dare question anything pertaining to care of extended family. I understand that it is different in the West.

Rose, I am a firm believer that God puts people in our paths for a reason. HE knew what he was doing when he put you and Mr. Wu Jianyun together. I believe one reason is, so that your mama could have the proper care at the China-Uganda Friendship Hospital. With you being fluent in Chinese, you were able to not only converse with the staff, you were able to help the doctors understand exactly what is ailing your mama. I could tell that they truly appreciated you. Lifting Margaret up in prayer always. Praying that the medication will help alleviate her pain, and will help her on her road to recovery. Can I also say, that Anzai is so loving and so patient. I love how gracious and kind he was towards his grandma…..waiting and not complaining during the very long process. Also, that cute little guy that found a friend in Mr. Wu Jianyun. How awesome was that?!? Please take care! You’re an amazing daughter Rose! Many blessing to you ALL always!

I do hope so too but the doctors must first find the root cause of of suffering and then deal with it that is the best way we can get better. Sicknesses come from demons too so sometimes we need deliverance.
Watching Rose transition between Ugandan, Chinese, and English so fluently is delightful. So happy that she is able to have her mother seen at this hospital. She is obviously and naturally very concerned.Hubby looks like the medical staff so the little boy feels very safe with him, so cute.

As a medical practitioner, I’d mention that it is also possible that you Mom’s long term symptoms have been brought on by menopause. The fatigue, chronic pain, vision issues can all be part of low estrogen and can be completely debilitating for many women resulting in secondary health problems.

Hope your mom will get well soon. I didn't realise that there is a hospital in Uganda that provides Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatment. The people in Uganda are very blessed to have access to professional TCM treatment.

Rose, I hope your mom will get well very soon. I know this must be very difficult for you to see her unwell. Also since your son is still so very young, I think you should start speaking to him in both your native language and English so that he can become bilingual.

It's easier to learn a new language in the early stages of childhood. Speaking as a Tefl.
The best time to learn is during the 3rd year. Language centers in the brain are soaking up language so fast during that year that most children will automatically become bilingual.

I hope mom feels better soon. It’s so difficult when our parents get older and I truly feel for Rose because she just went home to visit her family after years later and she had to take mom to the hospital already.
