Could be the same lights honestly. These are low cost lights that I’m sure share components with a few companies. They are nice and bright and perfect for this use
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad thanks for keeping up on vids. We know you got something in the works! Thing have a way of working out... Meanwhile... when do we find out about that gen3 raptor? 😁
These are being used as chase lights. Light output at night don’t matter 🤷♂️. You don’t need chase lights at nigh. Your tail lights are more than enough. Chase lights are needed during the day so their visibility during the day is what matters.
Yeah, it’s for visibility. We are running 65 mph and the dust gets thick. Only way to see the back of a truck sometimes is with Amber chase lights. A truck will completely disappear in dust. These makes the truck way more visible and help avoid guys rubbing into each other but to also see how far head they are from much longer distances
Eh, I’ll stick with my sdhq mounts. I’ve followed plenty of guys with them mounted back at the cab. Never an issue. These don’t instill confidence. These will either beat themselves off😳 or turn the wrong direction
They work at the back of the cab, but not great. There are other mounts to put them farther back too that are more secure. This is for the guy just starting out looking for something cheap to start. Eventually you will need something more solid. The high the better. 3rd brake light is the best option. Next is the top of the bed at the end of the bed.
Lol. The speeds we run offroad, everything is a hazard. Specially bushes. So you do have to be worried about them. What kind of off-roading do you do? Chase lights are needed for fast off-roading so the trucks are visible and no one runs into each other. If you have a bed cover, you can drum and mount lights to the bed cover too.
Youre better off just getting the 3rd brake light if you have a bed cover. No one wants to mount a light to a bed cover or drill. Whatever way you choose to get it there
But it does. Not everyone has the money to get the best. So you have to get creative. Wheel how ever you can. I try and do a lot myself to save money. And this is one of those ideas to get started.
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad cool! Don’t have many M5’s where I am (Philippines). But I do have a 528i. Great video! Thanks for doing products that aren’t gonna break the bank.
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad you returned them both? Haha I was looking at a set on Amazon for like $40 for the jeep. Gonna mount on the rear bar of factory roof rack 👍
This look exactly like auxbeam

It drives me bananas how all u guys make the videos and dont show jack crap how it looks at night

Who uses chase lights at night?
Swarfworks brackets are solid.
Yeah, he makes a great kit. Completely forgot about those
Sweet
👍
How are you going to review a light and not show the light pattern at night?

I actually ended up getting a cherokee xj, after lift/tires/regear, next is dust lights.
1....like the music...similar to Tavarish 80s style. 2....what do rear facing lights do exactly?
So when you are on the trails kicking up dust, people behind you can see you and will reduce probability of getting rear ended.

Agreed! I run the Evil third brake light and two sdhq mount.
Why would you be worried about a bush if you’re on a trail? Mounting lights in the bed prevents use of a bed cover.

@@buffalobmf agreed. But 3rd brake light options are expensive and both companies have crazy long lead times.

I owned a 528i manual when I was younger and loved it. Always wanted the M5 and got really lucky a few years ago.
