Building a WIRE HARNESS for my Baja Designs CHASE LIGHTS!

- I picked up a pair of Baja Designs S2 Sport pods to use as chase lights but the provided wire harness was too short! So, in this video, I'll be making my own wire harness and connecting it to the Switch Pros 9100!

I don’t even own a Tacoma truck but still found this entertaining to watch! Great info!
Glad you enjoyed it! You know, you can always get a Tacoma too! 😉
This is exactly what i needed on youtube university
Awesome! Glad it was useful!!
Hey man I really appreciate your videos! I'm just learning CLEAN wiring (I could always make things work, but it was chaos). I appreciate your videos, the editing is superb. Makes it much more efficient to watch. I have a 2023 Silverado HD that I'm trying to figure out there/how to mount my Switch Pro. I think I'm going to get the SDMT mount you have and try to make it work. Otherwise I'd have to fab something from scratch. Anyway thanks again! P.S. I honestly had no idea how the switch pro set up was supposed to work until your videos so thanks again!
Thanks for the walkthrough Scotty! Super handy
Anytime bud!!
Thanks for watching!!
Much appreciated was looking for something like this.
Awesome! Glad the video was helpful!
Can you list where you got your parts like the connectors? Thank you in advance
When you buy the lights usually they come with the connectors for the other side
what beam pattern do you have for the chase light? i was thinking combo or flood
I have the driving combo for the exact reason you're wanting. The driving combo is a combination of flood and spot. I wanted a nice flood pattern to fill in the back area but also a spot for if I'm reversing and need a little more light further behind me.
so my question is about the blue sea fuse box its look like you dont need it at all for your set up
Great question! You are absolutely correct that I do not need the Blue Sea Fuse Box for THIS accessory install BUT I do use the blue sea fuse box for other accessories. I currently have my Midland GMRS radio wired to my blue sea fuse box because I want to have that accessory have constant power, that way I can turn it on and off even if the engine is off. I also plan on adding a wire harness that will be connected to the Blue Sea Fuse Box that will constantly send power to a USB C cable so I can keep my GoPro mounted to the roof charged without needing to worry about batteries dying. But, you are correct that I do not need the fuse box for accessories that are connected to my Switch Pro.
Are these Spot, Wide Cornering, Driving/Combo??
Hi Amy! These are the Driving combo S2s from Baja Design so I get the best of both worlds. I have the spot portion of the S2s in the middle and the cornering on the outside to give it a little more spill.
Great information but hard to listen to. Did the connectors come withe the lights or would I need to find a source and order them separately. It would be so much better if you reduced the volume of the distracting music by 80% - even better 100%. You do not need it and the volume is the same or louder than your dialogue,
which dual battery system are you going to run .
I'm not sure yet. I've been leaning towards the Genesis Dual battery set up but also might go two full size batteries and move my ARB compressor into the grill. What do you think I should do?
I’ve heard horror stories stories about the genesis being too heavy and ripping off the mounts when you’re off road
Team amber for sure.
Definitely!!
Is that pin tool from BD?
It's not. I bought it on Amazon for a few bucks. I couldnt remember what it was called when I made the video but I know now lol. It's called a Terminal Extractor or Terminal Removal tool.
Nice Toyota Tacoma
Thanks! Much appreciated!
Can you RUclipsrs just run like 2 minutes of your horrible repeatative muzac then just cut it out… just talk. Add you crap muzac at the end, but damn, you ruin some really good content that I’m out at 2 minutes.
Thanks for the comment @desertCharleyVideos. I will definitely try that in my upcoming videos. I always thought that these install videos would get boring after the first couple of minutes so I add music to keep things moving, especially when the install video is closer to 30+ minutes. But yeah, I'll try that out in my next few videos to see if that works better. Thanks for the feedback man!
