can't thank you enough for the kind words :) Yes I start my days early- and sometimes I do get a little cat nap here & there in the afternoons. And I try to sleep in on the weekends!

One thing I really like about you is thst you have a very open way about you. I mean your a TV anchor woman, probably a bit of a celebrity, but I love that you readily admit to the need to pluck daily in order to battle the unibrow. I think at times is so easy to see people on TV who look so perfect, and we compare ourselves to that ideal. I hope this makes sense...I guess I'm just saying thanks for being so real. You rock. :)

This is the best eye makeup tutorial ever. I bought the NYX Caviar & Bubbles on your recommendation from a previous video and love it. The colors are perfect. What more could you need. And the size is perfect for everyday and travel. I'll never buy one of those large hi-end palettes again. And now I have some new tips on how to apply. You also explained how to connect the bottom eyeliner to the wing so well. Thanks, Laurie

I watch a lot of beauty guru's and a lot of them give great advice, but I seriously think I learned more in this video then I do in several videos from other guru's. You're great at explaining techniques and exactly how you apply your make-up. Thanks for being such a great teacher!

Yes they do! Powder is one of the most important things for them... they really just need to even out the skin tone & keep from looking shiny. My co-anchor also uses an under-eye concealer to sort of perk-up the undereye area. Besides concealer, powder, and i think some lip balm- that's all he does! (guys have it easy!)

I'd say I usually take between 25 & 30 minutes for makeup alone. I don't like to be rushed, and depending on the new product I'm trying- I'll take less or more time. Like if it's a new eye palette, I tend to take longer because I'm messing with all the colors. But if it's a multi-tasking type of product (like the bronzer/contour product all in one that I show here)- it can cut down the time. So it varies, but my makeup room is my happy place so I'm enjoying every minute! :)

There are two things to avoid for flash photography makeup. They are sunscreen ingredients and silica powder. Use foundations that do not contain sunscreen for events when flash photograhy will be present. Also, avoid any setting powders that have silica as a main ingredient like ELF HD, or NYX HD Studio Finish Powders (the new all white powders) they will all cause white flash back.

She wears heavier makeup than most of us because she's in front of the camera as a new reporter and as a RUclips Guru. Otherwise, she would look washed out and none of us would be able to see the colors she is applying on her face, reviewing, swatching, etc. If you watch her Vlogs, the makeup she wears is not heavy because she's not doing the news or guruing it on her main YT makeup channel.
