:3 The plastic Origami with the plastic base (TALES COFFEE that I learned to do a single pour from shows how badly the wooden base is made with it having no grip for the dripper, and black looks cool with my little more expensive purple choice of Origami dripper from the seller), which is my fav dripper that I own of my 4. A lot of people on Reddit prefer plastic because it makes a hotter cup, so a better extraction.
Some people talked about preheating the ceramic ones beyond just the filter rinse, and some were shocked that you preheat them beyond the filter rinse, like me. One person said baby baristas use ceramic ones.
This source said the ceramic was a rounded cup. Ceramic, glass, and plastic have their different tastes they produce.
I only have one ceramic, which is a Chinese luxurious version of the most popular pour-over by far, the V60.
    Shalom. Happy New Year!

Many get great recipes with it. It gets the sweetest ones with the larger hole and the plastic has the best handling of temperature.

I use an electric kettle with a wooden handle and black finish for the rest like that, which has a temp retain button, and some other extras. Hehe. Nice.

Would love to hear what you do to manage your water. I’ve been testing third wave water and having good luck with that. What type of filtration do you use? Etc. Thanks!

Really curious how it behaves and brew in comparison to v60 in terms of brewing time and taste. Thanks for sharing, love your videos🤙

The brewing time is way faster than in V60 due to its large hole and spaces between the filter & dripper that allows the heat & pressure to escape. As far as the taste, I would say like other flat bottom drippers currently in the market, it features a smoother & well balanced cups although sometimes not as crisp as V60. The modern flat bottom drippers are also more forgiving of mistakes & variations in our pouring, etc. Thus, ensuring more consistent result. At least that's what I experience.

@@duniagowes Thanks! much appricated. Curious once again - any favourite flat bottom dripper of yours that you would recommend?

@@orismj no coincidence, origami is one of my favorite flat bottom dripper :) , along with one local brand here by the name of Chihiro from Suji Premium Handcrafted (this is in many ways similar to April dripper but in smaller 01 size). April has a lot of fans too, but these two are enough for me, better than Kalita that previously I used. So I haven't been able to use April yet. Just my humble opinion.

TALES COFFEE uses a chopstick 🥢, and I love chopsticks 🥢 after finally learning how to use them in recent months. Hehe.
I don't bloom, even with gasses. Most of my coffees don't have gasses. I usually have to go out of my way to get freshly roasted coffee. Hehe. He stirs the coffee with the chopstick though.
