I can’t imagine doing this job for 15 bucks an hour! That’s 5 dollars an hour less than the kids working at McDonald’s in California. 1100 a week is horrible for the risk stress you are worth a lot more.
I been to that place not crazy bout it. You will avg 10k a month just keep pushing
Thank you David.
I expect ebb and flow. A couple slow days is a time to rest - or make a video or two. With big payments its a time to stress too!
Are post-2015-emissions equipment more reliable than 2007-2014? Some say yes, but I've never seen a rundown on various truck models. Instead of leasing it might be better to buy a used truck.
Yes the newer DEF systems run as intended, especially better than the early systems. However I would still not purchase a truck with it. But I just have that old school mentality when it comes to mechanical stuff.
That's a good question. Way out of my knowledge range. Maybe someone will answer that.
@jaredmcconnel
l8228 I wonder why Caterpillar hasn't returned to Class 8 trucking?
@@timothykeith1367 I think its because of both the expense and they just flat out dont agree with the government regulations
Hey Steve, I so I finally got my truck. It’s a 2023 Peterbilt and I so far have done two loads and I’m on my third day as of tomorrow morning. I wish you the best, wish me the best and that all our KLLM family is blessed. Nerves of Steel Brother, Great Job🎉 I’ve been their 😅 please do a break down video in writing so I could learn from the master ha 😊
Awesome! I am sure we will run into each other at some point. Reach out to my email and we can keep in touch. Blessings to you and favor over your truck. Be safe.
Just curios. Does KLLM have cameras and what kind? We have Lynx in our trucks. Driver facing. They’re not bad.
No driver facing cameras, just the forward facing.
Wow, Joliet, that's not too far from where I used to live. I swing through the area once in a while when I get homesick.
The country road detour was interesting, reminded me of a run I had in Wisconsin. But I'll never forget the time in Laredo TX when the gps lead us (with me driving) down a street that went into a cul de sac! Good thing my teammate was sleeping, he would've had a stroke! Needless to say I had to literally inch along just to get out of there, just so that we didn't tip the trailer over. That would not have looked good on the resume!
As always, take care, be safe, and keep those videos coming, they're the best!
Thanks for sharing and thanks for the support. I have also inched out of a tight spot or four.
Thank you Steve! Great video and happy to hear! Let me know if you’re still in Chicago area. Would love to buy you dinner and pick your brain.
Thanks Evert. Unfortunately, I dropped at Mars, went 13 miles away and headed out. I will get that dinner at some point. LOL
Another great video...Thanks bud!
Thanks for watching! Keep coming back!
How often do you have to drive nights at KLLM? In other words to do start up late at night and drive all night or do you drive into the night late and shutdown…
You can pick your hours as long as you are on time and plan well. There are times where the delivery time will force you into running into the night. I rarely have had to run a full midnight shift. I usually run about 4am to 4pm.
@@stevesliff that’s perfect. I’ve been worried about that being that it’s all reefer. Just can’t do the whole starting up between 2000 -0000 and driving all night. Makes me feel better now
