Starks are probably the most opposed House to the philosophy of Ends justifying the means, that philosophy drives Arthas and brings his very doom, in the end.
Jace isn't. Jace died without issue. his half-brothers, Daemon's sons Aegon III and Vicerys II reigned and were Rhaegar and Jon's ancestors (at least Vicerys)
3:32-4:06 I love how you can faintly hear the theme used for the White Walkers in the background. Not only is it beautiful but it just adds a new level of foreboding for what to come in the future.
"What does it keep out?" "Death" "Ok pretty cool line and all but that doesn't really tell me anything. Is it wights? If it's wights you can just say wights, dude."
Here in this time, the Night's Watch is still strong and well manned. The Starks take their duty to maintain the Wall very seriously and even seem to be well aware of the reason for its existence. It makes me wonder what exactly happened in the next 200 years for this all to completely fall apart.
I think Aegon the conqueror told Torren Stark about his dream of the white walker invasion which convinced him the legends of his families ancient past was true and the Nights Watch was there for an important reason. With the civil war the custom of passing down the conquerors dream to the heir of the Iron Throne was stopped and over time forgotten about and made the white Walkers fade back into bed time stories
Love the use of the lot system to ensure the Knight's Watch is properly manned. Would be interesting to see if a later spin off covers the reasoning behing ending the practice.
Possibly because of too many losses among the population; the Dance is followed by a harsh fibe-year winter which brought mass starvation. The south send their scum and unwanted to the Wall, of course, but when they're still recovering and when the holds and villages of the North have no men to spare, the Watch goes without.
this was right before he learned of his baby brother's death. i thought i recovered from his death, but boy i was wrong. seeing cregan receiving the letter was all i needed to get emotional all over again. jace learning of luke's death... 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
The greatest fucking intro to an episode since the drop of GoT. “Duty is sacrifice. It eclipses all things, even blood” holy fuck, and he we haven’t even seen the hour of the wolf. Cregan will make Ned, Rob, and Jon look like arrogant pricks 😂😂 “The conqueror and the *King* of the North” the respect between these two. Imagine if they both ruled in their respective areas. The realm would not love that peace
03:22 Right here. There's a moment in the first book when Tyrion glances beyond the wall and feels something he can't quite explain. I think Jace felt it too. At that moment he knew there was something out there far more fearsome and dangerous than wildlings and weather.
Jacaerys is a loyal man and worthy heir to the iron throne. He is more of a handsome and respectable prince. I hope to see more of him in this new season. He is my favorite of the black team..

@@mcmanus260Odd because I thought his delivery of the word "death" was really well done.
@mcmanus260 what you talking about? his delivery was fire🔥
@@Mozee854 clearly you've never actually stepped foot in the North of England
@@mcmanus260 don't care. It's sounds like it's up norf to me.
@@Mozee854you don’t know what northern sounds like yet make such confident claims otherwise, must be American, or worse, a horse faced home counties posho
Seeing the Winter Wolves in action is going to be badass!
Cregan Stark gives me Arthas vibes transitioning to Lich King.
Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne
Starks are probably the most opposed House to the philosophy of Ends justifying the means, that philosophy drives Arthas and brings his very doom, in the end.
@@doesnotreallymatterrArya and Cat start to use that ideology. Considering LSH I think she'd fit the Arthas allegory well
This entrance is so masterpiece 😌
"What does it keep out?"
"Karl Tanner - the FOOK'IN LEGEND."
So many people have no idea how hard this guy would absolutely flog Aemond in a fight
He did fight Aemon the Dragonknight when he was in his 40s-50s and Aemon said that Cregan was "the finest swordsman hes ever fought."
I had actually goosebumps and shivers when this played.
Remember when game of thrones was special..? Remember what GoT was before season 8?
Season 7 was terrible as well
@@kurtbarlow5408Had its moments
@@maxbardus3019 no it really didn’t
I loved the hint of the White Walker theme that was included-very spooky! 🥶❄️
Absolutely gorgeous opening
Its cool how they both are Jon Snows ancestors and both resemble Jon, and it still feels like he's here with this show
Are u including jace in that since he is part Targaryen the same blood that will pass from little aegon down to Jon as well as stark.
Carrying his sword Ice like that ? What a Chad
Cregans voice is spot on for the Starks, speaks and sounds exactly like how Ned, Robb and Jon did
It felt good to see Winterfell again since the last episode of Game of Thrones. And the music by Ramin Djawadi gave me goosebumps. ❤
Cregan Stark is the definition of aura.
3:25 from behind they look like a young adult Ned Stark and young Jon Snow.
The opening scenes of both S1 and S2 are so good. With Rhaenyra and Cregan voices 👌
Cregan held it down for his boy Jace, a true bro.
Cregan is absolutely STARK here. His accent, demeanor and everything. The way he carries ICE around reminds us of Ned STARK. The actor is phenomenal!
Coming out the elevator only one acknowledged Jacaerys with “My Prince” but all 3 recognized Cregan as “My Lord”. Respect!
Amazing scene. The warden is perfect
"What does it keep out?"
"Death"
"Ok pretty cool line and all but that doesn't really tell me anything. Is it wights? If it's wights you can just say wights, dude."
He meant the white walkers, because wights are nothing without them
Here in this time, the Night's Watch is still strong and well manned.
Robert’s rebellion happened and for some reason Ned’s father was more interested in the south than the north it would seem.
@@zehahahahahahahahaha677 Damned Maesters fault.
2:31 minor Error (it was 6 Kingdoms at the Time: Dorne hasn’t been brought into the Fold yet)
It doesn't matter. when aegon first coronation, Visenya still said 7 kingdoms
I think they just mean 7 kingdoms of the continent
got a 3 minute role and he freaking ate it!!
Better than all 8 seasons
Stark theme music gives me chills everytime
Dark wings, dark words... I just love that we get to see Winterfell again. It feels like coming home to hear that theme and see the wall again.
this was right before he learned of his baby brother's death. i thought i recovered from his death, but boy i was wrong. seeing cregan receiving the letter was all i needed to get emotional all over again. jace learning of luke's death... 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Am I the only one who thinks Jacaerys got beautiful???
i think Cregan Stark is handsome ❤
It's the hair lol they got rid of that yee yee ass haircut
Glad to see he swapped his Oasis haircut for a Michael Bolton.
The hour of the Wolf is gonna be 🔥
why do they have so much chemistry..
I think the prince reminds Cregan of his younger brother
The greatest fucking intro to an episode since the drop of GoT.
“Duty is sacrifice. It eclipses all things, even blood” holy fuck, and he we haven’t even seen the hour of the wolf. Cregan will make Ned, Rob, and Jon look like arrogant pricks 😂😂
“The conqueror and the *King* of the North” the respect between these two. Imagine if they both ruled in their respective areas. The realm would not love that peace
King *in* the North! respect proper titulature!
The starks theme is always epic
That Stark theme stills gets me right in the gut.
Makes me wanna swear all allegiance to house stark and bend the knee
Stark theme is so bitter sweet. Just like their story in GOT.
0:33 goosebumps immediately spread all over me
03:22 Right here.
Man… i wanted to see more of Cregan, and his relationship with Jace….
Creggan Stark's actor looks like a solid choice.
yeah the episode opening with this song had me literally SHAKING
You could not had a better opening to season 2 With the stark Theme give me Northern chills 🐺❄️
The starks are the only family that it’s not fucked up
🤨
Lmaooo what?????? Literally just about every house have done fucked up shit throughout their family’s existence. Including the Starks lol.
That's because we haven't got our House Stark version of Fire & Blood yet.
