The upgrade to this set and amulet is quite crazy. I have been playing this when the update dropped and it can safely run 80-81 SR and Ravager of Souls (kinda pain).
@RektbyProtoss Did I miss the link to the softcore player's build? Thank you for another guide! I'm following your DW Cold Mondreth guide for Spellbreaker/Reaper.
I've played Grim Dawn for about 150 hours. Started out on HC. Tried a few of your leveling builds but I've died quite early into Ultimate on every character so far. This looked like fun, and I was wondering if you plan on doing a level guide for this one? Or at least maybe just help a noob like me out to pin out like 1-20, 20-40 etc on grim tools so I can easier follow. Thank you sir.
If you want to be efficient and don't care about leveling with a similar playstyle, just follow his guide for primal strike druid (the recent SSF primal strike elementalist can be used as a reference, too, with the obvious caveat of the different mastery). Pretty much all of the proccing devotions in greymaybe's version overlap with that approach, so the respec after switching to endgame gear should be fairly painless, though I'd suggest going melee to avoid trying to fit in Hydra (druid is good at melee primal strike anyway). If you're weird like me and want to level as a caster with storm totems (doing it currently (: ), I'd suggest starting out doing whatever until Act 3, then get a Kymon's medal for lightning Callidor's Tempest and use that as your main ability until you get the MIs for storm totem (groble sky effigy from Act 4 and stormstrife from Act 5). Use storm totem, wind devil, and (spam) Callidor for offense, either stormcaller pact or star pact are fine for exclusive, and everything else is pretty much the same aside from not using Panetti. When you get to level 75+, you can switch either seal of storms or seal of corruption component skill for a spam filler and drop Callidor. (If you use Rekt's devotion page, or if you use greymaybe's but drop lantern+scythe for crown+lotus to still get flat RR, you'll need 4 active abilities; I've been doing the latter and just have crown bound to vanish movement skill, but you could also use like 1-point TSS for that instead if you prefer to stay ranged).
How do I achieve the Devotions from the build by @greymaybe ? Is there a step-by-step guide somewhere? I know it probably involves removing some constellations once they provide their bonuses, but I can't seem to figure out the sequence and I'm stuck...
I recommend just using leveling devotions for primal strike spam and then drinking the potion to reset devotions when you finally get your endgame gear. I did tortoise, spider, quill, eel, lantern, crab, widow, tempest, sickle, jackal, and hawk on my first reset. Afterwards, you can speck out of all crossroads and spider, pick up ghoul, spec out of eel and quill, pick up behemoth, then spec a point into red crossroads and pick up ultos.
Hello Rekt, I don't remember where I read in a guide that the highest damage in the game was Lightning, and the reason was because the AI, for the most part, were less, almost NOT resistant to said Lightning damage," I'm not referring to the Elemental : Lightning, Cold and Fire, the 3 F's, and neither to its associated electrocution, If not, to the damage of Lightning itself. IS THIS TRUE? Precisely remembering this, it occurred to me to make A Druid this time. Thanks in advance, and good video, it helps me remember some things about the game. All the best.
If you are using stormcallers pact instead of starpact, why do you still max out the mastery on arcanist? Wouldn´t it be better to use these points to improve other aspects like mogdrogans pact for more hp or elmental exchange for more OA and crit damage?
Hey dude, if I could ask a question: are the "updated" devotions by greymaybe similar/more/less survivable? Please assuming I have the gear for both setups. Thanks :D
The Ludrigans Set itself has +2 Summonlimit to Stormtotem and the Amulett Celestial Stone of Halakor has +1 Summonlimit to Stormtotem, the offhand Grobble Sky of Effigy of Thunder to has +1 Summonlimit. And the Skill itself has 2 or 3 Summonlimit (hardcap) when you max it out, i think = 4-6 Totems at the same Time ;)
Is the GT link in the description slightly different than the build shown in the video? Looked like the skill allocation was a little off for Distortion and Supercharged in the Spaghetti's line. Either way, always appreciate you sharing these build highlights!
They sometimes are a few points off, but its because of gear or some of the optional changes he usually mentions somewhere in the video that are either player preference or based on tailoring it to the gear you happen to be blessed with on your journey. He's the goat
@@rektbyprotoss Seems like a reasonable trade for an easier time kiting with less button presses. Would Chain Lightning be a good side grade for panettis as a devotion proccer/filler skill?
Hahaha!! Druids are so fun!! Druid and Elementalists so good in 1.2!! Glad you do not have that Purifier bug that has been caught by some of the other prolific Grim Dawn streamers!
I used devouring swarm and rushed totem and get the offhand in outskirts from unique grobble for easier totems, then mogdrogen pact, stormcaller and then arcanist
Hey, this Build looks very interessting. I search for kinda non Meta Build like this. How to Level it, right away with 1H Gun with Panetti and Totem or with 2H Ranged or Melee Primal Strike and or with Flash Freeze and Sky Shard?
leveling you could honestly just spec into shaman only if you really wanted to and begin with a few points in totem and use ranged OR melee regardless of abilities. I'd just go off of whatever gear or infrequents you happen to pass by. Another really fun option is indeed panetti, but it can feel weak at times with bosses so you'd have to do a hefty amount of early farming in some areas (maybe 30- to an hours worth in your 30s-40s until you get base rep with a faction that has something you need)... one huge recommendation if you go panetti's is to kill warden krieg, then jump straight into the starting area of forgotten gods and complete the more simple quests and pick a faction that aligns with your end build just so you have a short head start and then go farm some of the casters and statue enemies in the temples between the starting area and the camp all of the quests eventually point you towards. A lot of the offhands in forgotten gods are really good early grabs for arcanists, but unfortunately for shaman you may be looking at them for only damage type buffs and maybe one ability if youre lucky on the drops as most shaman stuff that is farmable is in maingame or ashes. I recommend trying shaman for leveling simply because it is a fun overlooked leveling class for a lot of people and dishes out lots of damage for almost free with the right devotion respecs. Just have fun with it and you can always respec or begin your crossclass early for the arcanists bonus to spirit at the first point and it wont hurt you like it does with necro leveling or anything. a really fun note to throw is that the occultists in and above blood grove also sometimes drop decent things for both classes and you can B-line for them pretty early. Just dont miss your devotions on the way as they will almost undoubtedly make your class what it is once you are in your 30-50 range and make it stand against overleveled elite enemies in many cases.
okay thank you for the detailed Explonation. i think the easiers way is Primal Strike for an good Single and AOE Damage. Eventually, little bit of Totems and farm the Totem Gear. And respec then, when i have the Items alltogether.@@bregonwebb8921
Hi, I am a new player, and I have two questions unrelated to this build. First, can Necromancer pure build be viable? Two, how do I know I am building correctly? Are there principles to follow when making build?
either has a lot of benefits. If you like casting nullification and mirror a till your fingers hurt go arcanist if you like fire and forget shaman. They are both great for leveling.
shaman can become pretty tanky in a way very early if you one pointer it and then throw one point into the second and third tier bottom row here and there. arcanist relies heavily on mirror and nullification for bosses and huge mob crowds if you arent geared well.
RektbyProtoss already has a guide for a 2h ranged primal strike druid starter so that would probably work well and it's a fun build IMO. You would have to respec the devotions somewhat when switching to ludrigans, but other than that it should be smooth.

This is an incredibly interesting build. Making a build that actually uses PRM effectively? Count me the in!
PRM does nothing but proc a devotion. Not sure if joking lol
You mentioned that you were going to post a link to SC version of this build. Couldn't find it in the description
You are correct, I added it now in the description.
What UI mod are you using that colors item mod texts based on their damage type? Thanks.
Search for "grim dawn rainbow filter"
Nice! Now i have a go to swap after Primal Strike. Any tips on farming sets?

Stat points are pretty good value for HP, DA, OA and spirit is pretty decent %dmg on an Arcanist.
How is big difference between elementalist and druid for totem build? Is elementalist good for that?
Hey dude, if I could ask a question: are the "updated" devotions by greymaybe similar/more/less survivable? Please assuming I have the gear for both setups. Thanks :D
I'd say they are similar.
sweet build as always Rekty, you happen to have a save file for this character to try out?
i can see colored descriptions item on move, For ex.. Lighting Damage is yellow, lighting damage is blue. Is this a mod? or what ?
I used the Grim Dawn Rainbow Filter in this video.
What timing! I just started a Druid thats get to the point where it needs to shift from leveling to something not missiles...
what makes you cast more then 1 at a time?
The Ludrigans Set itself has +2 Summonlimit to Stormtotem and the Amulett Celestial Stone of Halakor has +1 Summonlimit to Stormtotem, the offhand Grobble Sky of Effigy of Thunder to has +1 Summonlimit. And the Skill itself has 2 or 3 Summonlimit (hardcap) when you max it out, i think = 4-6 Totems at the same Time ;)
The set bonus allows for an additional 2 summons per cast. The amulet allows for an additional 1 summon per cast. So you're able to get 4 per cast.
我是一个新手,请问你是如何让图腾同时释放出四个的

He said in the video that winddevil should have less skill points and supercharged could use more and changed it for the link i suppose.
@@bregonwebb8921 that makes sense, thanks!
How badly would it hurt the build if I wanted to use the mythical codex of eternal storms so I don't have to keep recasting wind devils?
Probably about a 20% damage loss.

hi bro , maybe You know date of release season 6 grim dawn ? and is season 5 will be compatible with 1.2 grim dawn version ? Greetings from Poland
how would you level this build....shaman and rush to totem or start arcanist???

This with an elementalist is so much fun lol
Fun build
How do u get loots at SR 80
Since Patch 1.2 theres a new waystone that you can use, which gives you loot up to shard 90.
Do u have to use the pistol for the set ?
Yes, think of it as a wand.
