Ivana comes from Czech republic which was part of Austrian/ German monarchy with a lot of castles full of antic furniture, crystal chandeleuers, marble floors, and she probably wanted something similar at her home.
That doesn't matter. Czechia indeed, like Austria and Bavaria is rich in the South German tradition of design. But that means restraint and geometric design not rocaille insanity. From Modernism and Functionalism in the 1920s to 1980s, to Secession Art Nouveau in the 1890s-1910s, to Neo-Renaissance from the 1860s-1890s to Biedermeier in the 1820s-1840s. The interior here is incredibly over the top, especially to Czechs, like it is trying to cram the entire National Theatre and State Opera into a walkup. Even in the 1980s and 1990s this would be considered gaudy, oppressive and ugly. Ivana's taste was simply incredibly Nouveau riche and paired well with her Husbands. But this is in no way considered classy by anyone, except maybe the Russian oligarch mafioso types. The moment the hosts went inside, it just felt like a brothel. But then again they did mention this townhouse wanted to emulate “Parisienne” vibes & it does feel very Moulin Rouge to me.
Agreed!
Yeah the outdoor courtyard and the outside of the front entrance were the only appealing places for me.
Well she was tacky and gaudy like all the Trumps. What do you expect.
So help me understand something the staff had quarters and a office but no one was home when she was found dead at the bottom of the stairs that’s very strange for a woman who needed someone at her beck and call
She had staff but not enough staff to cover people’s days off.
@@CJ-jq4lv or maybe coincidentally the day she died trump gave the staff the day off because let’s not forget he was paying her alimony
But of course, the Donald was meticulous with his planning….she now rest comfortably…on a stack of files.
Maybe it was the staffs day off
Bet it was diaper don VonShitsHisPants who pushed her down those stairs ... probably because she was costing him too much! 🤣
I would keep that entry room as is. What a conversation piece. I like her bathroom too.
She died there falling down the stairs. What happened to the elevator! Now, some rich dogs are buried better than she's under that ⛳️ golf course. How sad.
Done with a lot of love is correct! Lovely home she left, well suited to her taste.
"Versaille" translates to shiny, bawdy and garish. One person living in all this space is obscene. Just imagine her outcome had she lived in a nicely detailed, one level condo, there would have been no Texas tumble down the stairs....
A lot of people continue to live in their home after the kids have grown and moved.
X5
It was decorated by Liberaci.....lol..lol...🤢
Nothing like answering a question and then talking over the answer😊
Scary to see the stairs... where she died
I was thinking the same
Is her ghost included? 😮
Did she trip on the stairs, just as her nondisclosure agreement was ending, or was she pushed or tripped down the stairs?
@@ritagreen6499 ... plus, if she was cremated, why did they use a full heavy casket? I wonder what was buried with her asges? 🤔
She has an elevator. She isn't taking the stairs if she has an elevator
Where was the main kitchen?
If she had an elevator in the house why did she fall down the stairs?
Exactly!
Have you ever counted steps? It's what you do to keep fit. Elevators are for handicapped people.

And for those who do not want to not fall to their death
A terrible untimely and unfortunate accident
@@catchmeintherye2102how many times have u died falling down stairs, get a grip
It’s so amazing to see that you can have parents 100k home or 22.5M home- but it’s home. For decades. Usually still resembling the decade they purchased it in. Their “taste” and flair that only you recognize as your parents/grandparents. It could be a collection of coco clocks or silk/velvet drapes. People are still people.
Q: What period is this?
A: Reign of Terror.
its the period of I screwed Trump and was paid Millions just to divorce him. She is the only person that got paid from Trump and the only person that Trump was in debt to for his sucess
Outside look like a Bank 🏦 inside looks like a Brothel someone said 😂😂😂😂
Very homely, love the leopard print room. All is warm/creative/timeless classic. A million miles away from boring and sterile.
Gorgeous home and it reminded me of home alone lost in New York
It felt homey and warm
... more like cheap and tacky! 🤮
This is a magnificent and luxurious residence. I love this home. This is what a home should be like: many rooms, luxury appearance, expensive-looking & livable. I like it.
Beautiful home, but I feel the house would give me vertigo from all the red
Fancy! I guarantee you that residence was plush with fresh flowers and gorgeous plants in every corner. It looks a bit bare without them! Even though the decor is so busy and posh. She filled the space, yes, but admit it - it succeeds at being very cozy. Haha, she proves that “neutrals are for prisons”. A vibrant, lively house.
I know we're supposed to hate the rich but to have enough money to be able to buy this AND then renovate it so inspiring.
only the losers hate successful people.
She earned her millions because she knew not to get mad and just get everything.
As fancy as it is, I like the Pink Onyx and Gold Hardware Bathroom. That shade of pink is pretty, not to over the top ''Pinkish'' but just right. I wouldn't change that bathroom if I were a rich buyer for the home.. But it was fun to see her home and how the 'rich' live in the best parts of New York City!
As is said, "There's no accounting for taste." Taste?
Lack of it
Long live this Queen. May she be accepted by the Angels 🕊️👑
When I remember Ivana from a party in Aspen , class and grace are the first words to come to mind .
Very sad she is not given the respect due .....
Buried on a golf course 😢
Ivanna was fierce strong woman, I can see her soul in her beloved house. Being Trump 1st wife, surely makes her strong woman. So you guys saying her house is cheap etc, you guys just shallow, show some respect, you don’t know what went through in her life
If She preserved it, wondering why haven’t her children retained it?
Because it’s hideous!
Her children allowed their father to chuck her remains in the back of a golf course for tax reasons…cold blooded.
@@marylhereI highly doubt she’s actually buried there, they have her grave there and say she is for tax purposes but I bet she’s buried elsewhere
Most people sell their parents house after death and distribute the proceeds?
scene of the crime.
the pink onyx bathroom is gorgeous!
If I had it, I would sell it. It is STILL in the dirty city, looking old from the outside. Honestly, the interior looks ENTIRELY VULGAR on the inside. For that money, you could get a State Of The Art place overlooking the Rocky Mountains, or Hollywood.
Someplace w/ a " room w/ a view " - the mountains , ocean , desert , perhaps .
@@cynthiajohnston424 Yes!❤
I would leave it exactly as it is! I’m sure she only used the highest quality materials, that’s why it still looks good.
I wouldn't change a thing. I love it!
Me too 😆
It’s like she went to Joann Fabrics and said- give me all of your tackiest fabrics you have in that discount bin over there.
The leopard room feels so current... I think it´s fun. She got what she wanted and that´s the whole point =)
You mean the Kardashian leopard print of five years ago is "current"? Getting what you want may be A point, it certainly isn't THE whole point. Yeesh. Tacky is tacky. There are equivalents for Elvis' Graceland for the wealthy. Wealth without taste is a waste of money.
@@walkingstick6655 Oh, I have no idea what you mean by the Kardashian Leopard print as I have never watched an episode of that show in my life =)
I only said it is current as "fashion is a never-ending cycle".
@@IMAInteriors I don't watch them, either, but you stumble across their nonsense in magazines, etc.
@@walkingstick6655 hahaha I wouldn´t know.... seriously, I´ve never seen it... I avoid them at all cost hahaha
@@IMAInteriors Again, so do I, but you can't help seeing something when you turn a page in a magazine.
I wish I could buy it & leave everything exactly as it is 🥰👍🏻🏆
To me, her taste in decor is hideous. But, if redecorated, it would be beautiful.
Her taste in a husband wasn't much better.
Redecorate after paying 22m is it worth it?
Too much red.
💯!
The more red you have the more money you receive. The tradition goes you want to receive more money carry something red with you at all times .
💥🎯🎯🎯
Fabulous!! I love it.❤❤
he said, "it's like a leopard print microsuede..." so shady. lol
🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
The painted walls are beautiful.
red is thirty years old decor.. lightened they would be very different. The small butlers kitchen is how I like the kitchen, out of sight, out of mind, lol! Skylight chandelier clever, entry has dignity, that studio in the attic, with more light, would be brilliant as a painting studio. Piano would have its own concert room.. could be a cosy home then!
I wouldn’t change a thing ❤❤❤
