@@a.t3638 the cam can be loped. Higher pitched tones are more often found in Hondas, 4 cylinders, some Mitsubishi ect. Think the difference between a pony car and a muscle car. The loped cams have a lower tone when at idle and or going to and from different gears. If you lope a cam, it has a lower muscle tone.

it is cammed, its the precision turbo you're hearing, they usually have a higher pitched spool

I have a 50 trim Turbo on an Audi. But I love the sound of a loped cam.
You need some vicious power to do that.
Not really stock evos can do it just not that far..
I had to tune mine quite extensively before it would break traction on demand, but I wasn't driving through puddles of liquid to coat the tyres...
