Loved the music in this episode. Only way it could have been better if at the 4:39 mark y'all worked in Pink Floyd's "Pigs" classic. Big man, pig man Ha, ha, charade you are!
In general a shorter barrel is always easier to handle/manuever. You give up bullet velocity when you lose length, but gain ease of carrying/handling simply because it is a smaller platform to wield. A shorter barrel is also inherently lighter. This Marlin Dark 1895 was a dream to handle out in the field!
The AR in 450 Bushmaster, 458 SOCOM and 50 Beowulf are just as powerful or more than the 45-70. AR15s are easier to accessorize, easier to mount optics on, easy to sling, easier to find and less expensive than the setup he used. Liking levers is fine, I like mine, but my AR15s beat lever actions in most categories. The ARs ability to get fast follow up shots smokes the lever action too. I laughed at you guys talking about traditional lever actions when the only thing traditional is the action itself. Everything else is modernized with AR accessories.

Love it!!! Great show!
Interesting!
I've always been a Winchester girl but there's no denying the appeal of the Marlin.

Nice setup.

😎 right back at ya!
What a gorgeous rifle. Can’t beat a lever action!
That rig is EPIC. Love that the Marlin Dark Series took the classic lever gun and modernized it for awesome accessories!
We're so glad Marlin made a new wave of lever-actions!
Very good info.
Lever action for the win always!
Lever guns get the job done!
That is a sweet hunting rig!
Thanks!

Very cool. I like that people of all ages are getting into lever guns now
They really are a blast!
Interesting rig, though I prefer the classic look of a lever action rifle - wood stock, etc.
Valid! Nice that there's something out there for everyone!
Yes please 🤙🏾
Very nice
Thank you!
Does that 16 inch barrel make it harder to handle than the 19 inch rig?
