New Sword Art Online Season 3 Trailer got released! This is the second trailer for SAO sequel - SAO Season 3 Alicization.
This 2nd trailer highlights Young Kirito, Eugeo and Alice. Kid Kirito returns as the main protagonist for SAO S3. Along side Kirito will be Eugeo and Alice AI in the new VR world Underworld.
Kirito and Asuna fans don't worry! Asuna is still a main character in SAO season 3. Asuna will appear more in the later half of SAO season 3 and will play and important role.

As someone who has read the first 6 light novels of this arc I’m really looking forward to it being animated.
Hope the anime doesn't fuck up the really got plot.
of course the plot goes downhill after the female antagonist is defeated (not really a spoiler for those who haven't read it yet, but yes, there's MULTIPLE ANTAGONISTS, just wait and see)

Dude all the visuals looked amazing. I loved the scene where Sinon shot the grenade out of the launcher. Oh and the whole Asuna with the phone app was pretty cute.
I have been so hyped for many years. Reading the light novels for many times already.
What I am sure is what happens next is Asuna calls an ambulence and then Kirito is sent to the Underworld where he meets Eugeo again.

When I saw this video I was really excited there was a season 3 despite watching season 1, 2 and the movie I never really realized how much I like this show.

I still worry about the first half getting squeezed to 25 episodes where it suppose be 6 Volumes, just hope that they don't cut it a lot important moments from that Eugeo and kirito Journey which i love the most from this arc
I'd be surprised if they did volumes 9-14 in 25 episodes and 15-18 in 25 more. With the whole GGO stuff, it looks like they have some wiggle room since all we saw in the light novels was Sinon in a BoB.
Well the whole arc is going to be 4 seasons long. I haven't read the LN but for now it feels like they are trying their best for good pacing

I acually went to the ep 1 premire for sao season 3 and i can wait for it to begin this october
1. The animation was pretty awesome especially the fighting scenes and I love the design of the GGO outfits. The thing that feeled off for me was the trio intering an ice cave and Alice showed the low temperature with her breath. For water to freeze it must have been below 0°C in the cave and the characters all have light clothing and didn't show a sign of freezing like shivering. Compared to ufotables UBW/HF adaptation they showed the breath condense because of the temperature like everytime they breathe. 2. The scene with Asuna, Sinon and Kirito in the bar was hilarious, ANTI CHEATING DEVICE? Chigau! I'm so hyped for the next episodes after that cliffhanger, gotta need catch up the LN aswell since I'm only on the 4th volume atm.

I started reading the SAO light novel online from book 9 which is the the start of the Alicization arc. When Foxen went into the spoilers for ep. , just about everything he said happened also happened in the first book. The only differences were the GGO section which is an anime original and the part at the end with Johnny Black. In the book Asuna was told to run and was not pushed
I'd rather they take a break and make it two seasons My main reason is because I want to stay ahead in the light novels, of which 6 out of 10 (from this arc) are currently out. The next one comes out in December, and they come out three times a year, so the last one (from this arc) should come out December 2019. I love this series, but I have serious concerns as to how well they will be able to translate this complex and fascinating arc (which is longer than the entire series so far) into animation. In the first episode alone, they included that GGO fight scene (which was anime original, but a cute way of letting us see all the characters we won't be seeing for most of this arc in action), at the expense of a lot of exposition which may be slightly boring, but will be super-important later on. I recommend everyone go out and read the light novels to get the full picture.

While I am very hyped for SAO season 3. The only question I want answered is, does Kirito die in season 3? Cuz if he does I'm gonna get every SAO fan I can find and we're gonna riot.
I think he comes back to life at the end of the series or something or other but he deffo temporarily dies, paralysis poison stops his heart and suffocates his brain

I remember being super bored and confused with the whole kid kirito part in the book. That section takes up like half the book so I’m glad to see they are getting threw that relatively quickly and getting to the meat of the story.

Sounds like they were less evil, in some ways, in how they ended that as compared to the LN.
There are a few details I'm still wondering about. One is to do with that 4th BoB winner, and whether the way in which he won was mentioned, as well as Kazuto's supposition about him. That's to say nothing of that guy's parting line to Sinon in BoB, "Your soul will be so sweet."
The other particular in my mind is just Asuna's concern about Kazuto, and to what degree that was expressed. There was the bit about his weight having dropped from his job, but also, in the wake of Ordinal Scale, the whole memory thing had to be quite unnerving for her.
Anyway, so far, it sounds good. I'm guessing we'll see those Mountain Goblins in the cave in Episode 3 or so.

I'd like to see a live-action version of everything and anything with Sao, of course English version, reading subtitles tends to ruin the immersion for me. Sao is by far my favorite series to watch on Hulu. Want to say more without getting too emotional though....
