  • Thanks to the Quickness Herald in my subgroup, I don't have to bring spirits for Might and Protection. Instead, I take Guard! for the transition into the add phases in which we tend to have the most downed players, as well as Search and Rescue! to pull downed players out of dangerous locations. Only drop spirits if you know that their boons will still be covered!
While it is not strictly necessary to have a dedicated tank for Dagda, facing her away from the group drastically decreases the damage the group takes. Dagda focuses on the target (player or player pet) closest to her, which means that it is necessary for everyone else to stay at max melee range while the tank stands inside of Dagda's hitbox. Since player pets can also be focused, Rangers shouldn't bring the Rock Gazelle pet as due to its passive skill it will end up in the middle of Dagda's hitbox. As a tank, I'd recommend to take high toughness.
The fight starts with a breakbar and 10 stacks of Dagda's Demonic Aura buff which decreases the damage she takes by 10% per stack. Walking through one of the white circles grants a player a special action key (SAK) that lasts roughly 10 seconds and can be used to remove 5 stacks. Once all stacks are removed, Dagda will gain them again after 20 seconds. She will also gain stacks when players stand in her Soul Feasts. A Support DPS and DPS are assigned to taking care of this mechanic.
As long as enough players are alive, I can safely ignore the green arrow mechanic if I'm not the target. The target has to move behind the stack and a minimum of 5 players (or player pets) are needed in between the player and Dagda, else the target dies. If we're only 8 players left, I will also walk onto the green arrow, as this will allow our SAK players to still prioritize their mechanic (2 dead, 1 target, 2 SAK players, so I'm needed for the remaining 5).
There are 2 ways to handle the numbers mechanic. The proper way is to split up around Dagda so that every number only gets hit once. However, you can also just stand inside of Dagda's hitbox and ignore the numbers that way (see 1:52, 2:41, 6:35). Don't forget to move out of Dagda right after if you're not tank though!
Starting at the 2nd phase, Dagda will begin to spawn green circles. They can and should be stacked (see 2:21, 4:02, 5:47).
Every 25% phase, an add phase starts. I dodge the pizza and cast Guard! while being pushed away and then make sure my pet doesn't distract the adds and therefore doesn't keep them in the center AoE (see 1:18, 3:05, 4:55).
When a player collects too many Residual Anxiety stacks (mainly gained from standing in Soul Feasts) and turns hostile, they can either be killed and revived (see 4:18) or simply hard cc'd (see 5:00).
Starting at the 3rd phase, Dagda needs to be cc'd again shortly after she covers half of the arena in an AoE (see 4:29, 6:14). Make sure not to stand in this AoE as it hits pretty hard. This is also when Search and Rescue! is mostly needed in this fight, and if too many people took damage Guard! can help too. At 6:14, I got to use both skills for exactly that reason and also precasted Glyph of the Stars in CA when my burst healing skills were on cooldown to revive potentially downed players immediately.

Disclaimer: Only drop spirits if you know their boons will still be covered! Both Monk (Core) or Karakosa (SotO) relic are fine; keep in mind that you need to successfully combo your blast finishers for Karakosa though which requires a squad composition with lots of combo fields or adjustments in your gameplay, making Monk the all-rounder pick. If you don't own SotO for Mace, take an Axe instead - you trade some protection, regeneration, and vigor sources, cc, and healing for potentially unique conditions, range, and faster CA generation. The infusion isn't strictly needed; without it you lose 5 concentration = 0.33% boon duration.
