Our 31’ trailers tandem leaf springs busted on both sides of rear axle a mile after leaving the shop this afternoon!! We had to drive it back to shop 5mph through residential. Very dangerous situation and thank Our Lord Jesus that it didn’t happen on freeway that we were about to jump on🙏🏼 Great video Brother!
The cinder blocks are the only thing that make me nervous. A friends dad has his tractor on cinder blocks and one cracked and the tractor fell on him. Just use caution. They're convenient but, I try to always use stands or wood blocks.
I appreciate you...I am going to try and change the ones on a trailer i just bought...Im in Pensacola and may need to come and get some fishing in too....thanks again
I think would’ve done the hanger brackets also, when you put fresh metal against rusty, it begins to rust a lot faster. It’s to bad that a lot of boat ramps don’t have a fresh water rinse off hose, so as soon as you put the boat in the water you can rinse your trailer off instead of leaving it sit with saltwater on while you go boating.
Thank you for the response. I'm actually measuring from eye to eye (hanger to shackle strap) while they remain on the trailer not detached. I'm wondering if I may need to move the hanger to accomodate a different length. @@bayoubanditcharters

Dang man! Glad y’all were ok.
A good impact driver is worth it’s weight in gold. It definitely makes a job easier and faster. Great video bro. 😎
No doubt!

Yes I agree, it was a little sketchy for sure, lol!

Thanks brother!
Great job Brother. Thanks for the tips.
You bet
Where do you order the leaf springs at?

Hanger brackets are stainless steel
Little jobs like this are fun, when they go right. Now if the nuts had been rusted to the U bolts, that's when the aggravation starts. lol
lol, definitely brother!
The measurement between the eyes on my leaf springs is 21 inches. I cannot find any with that measurement. Any suggestions?
They have probably widened out. Get the next smaller size. They were probable 20" when new.

You should be able to find the right length
it is proving to be very difficult to find ones with a 21 inch spacing@@bayoubanditcharters
id would have changed them out for ya for a trip! lol
A spray bottle of diesel will do wonders at helping you even more , do that right after you get the tires & wheels off and let it be soaking

That's not an impact socket. Very dangerous.
Lol, I guess I’ll paint it black next time!
