- Following on from making stools and chairs its only a small change into changing the body and making them into cabinets.
The sandwich design makes for a strong base structure to attach timber to create furniture. I went with a half round design although square or rectangle would work equally well and would look quite good.
Finished with RUBIO monocoat, a nice enough finish and it did indeed only need one coat, I applied with a sponge and it worked well. Unfortunately my phone kept running out of memory and corrupting the video files so no clips of applying the finish.

Enjoy the violin, dont blame me, blame the guy who threw it out. I took lessons for years at the school, i could have been the next Nigel Kennedy, Mr.Butters hated it and ran away, triggered the gfs tourettes.

Bongo and Butters! Today is a good day.
ive missed these builds
He s back! 👌👌
Nice to see you back all the best to you .you’re home must have the best furniture in Wales
good to see you again! 😊
You can’t beat a bit of Bongo in your life nice to see you my friend
Hey!!! Your back man!. Great to see you putting more videos out. It's been a while it seems like, love your content.
Found a violin? Cool. Neat table project.
Interesting, Ive got 3 of them, use them as legs?
@@thepoultrypeople use anything you own in any creative way you want!
lol Rock on Tommy lol. Love it brother. Stay funky.
Glad to see you are back 👍
As a professional violinist I can tell you that your right hand/bow hold is near perfect and those lovely sounds you produced are something a contemporary composer would pay you to play! A possible new career choise? :D lovely build as well!
I take my hat off to you, its a very hard instrument to play and get a good sounding note out of. I Played it many years ago at school but unfortunately my heart wasnt into it and like many children I dropped it to my regret.
As a long time 2000AD fan that Judge Death artwork in the background made my day 👌😉
Ill upload the videos of the carves one day, i went through a 2000ad session not so long back and made a load of them.
@@thepoultrypeople believe it or not but I bought issue two when I was a kid, but being young and having no idea of such things as collector value I never kept it 😑
@@JohnSmith-ki2eq the value was in the enjoyment you got from your 8p, 8p! The paper as well is very much like coarse newspaper, it doesnt take much for them to fall to bits.
Current issue is £3
The comics never made it up here to the village until something like issue 600
@@thepoultrypeople I'm starting to feel nostalgic.... I might get a subscription to 200AD again 😁
Another great build and AAHHHHHHH now the Butties bit makes sense lol
I did violin at school. I must take it up again.
You make some really cool stuff! 👍 Good project👌
Nice work, My kinda style 🔨👍😊
Really nice, I like the unique design!
What a beautiful cat ❤️
Should have seen him in his prime, the cat I mean 🤣. He's got a lot of content with his critters over the years check it out, it's definitely worth watching. Lot of good laughs.
I've been following his channel for quite some time, I know the cat well 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hey Bongo, just seeing new content by you is "music" to my ears.
Im available for weddings, birthdays, barmitsvahs, i go from table to table getting tips to just leave them alone.
@@thepoultrypeople Hahaha, I'll keep that in mind for future events!
When I play my banjo in the house it would seem my wife becomes motivated to cook and clean. Actually though, I think she is looking for an excuse to run the hoover and the blender at the same time.
Stunning
Bloody hell this is one of the best builds I've seen. Deserves a longer version 🙂 how do you do the burning thing
Thanks, i do the burns using a microwave transformer, lichtenberg its called, dangerous but it does look good. Even better on hardwood, this one was ok but ive had some come out that were amazing.
Nooice!
Looks like you burn with a car batter charger - can you explain that or do a video on how you burn your wood. I'm guessing it aint one of the 500 dollar sets they try to sell everyone on line!! I'm trying to not burn the shop down. Good to see your stuff, definitely one of my favorite sites! Blessings
Its a microwave transformer setup, puts out about 1800v but at a lowish amperage, enough to give you a very bad day though. Unfortunately youtube pulled down the video I put up of how to put one together under 'safety guidelines' bit shit considering theres murder videos on this platform. Cost is literally a microwave someone has thrown out.
@@thepoultrypeople thanks so much and it is an awesome look. I am trying but I am better at breaking stuff. I don't get youtube either - but we aint getting any smarter. Thanks for the videos and hope I can build something!!
It's been some time ,I hope all is well on your end.
Great projects, but feel the musical skills require more practice!👍🏻🤔🤣
Is that Cat a Rex breed or a LaPerm maybe?
😂🤪❤️
Stick to wood working....your No Charlie Daniels🤣🤣🍻
You got that right!
(violin) don't give up your daytime job just yet
