The first Lockheed Tristar with RB 211 engines flew across our factory at Rolls Royce Hillington in Glasgow on a visit to the UK when I was an apprentice there. I saw the engines being manufactured for the first time, so this video is a great credit to the fact the government at that time saved the company from going under due to the cost of creating this historic engine and aircraft combination against very hard competition with the DC10. Unfortunately both designs were not as successful as the manufacturers hoped but the engine went on to greater heights. Thanks for a great video my friend , you are the spirit of aviation.
My best memory of this sound is taking off from Reus airport, Spain, in August 2011, heading home to England, with the ending of Gung-Ho by Anthrax to match the pitch of the engine.

Nice and smooth takeoff! Really liked that buzz from the RR's!
Absolute perfect engine sound indeed!! What more can you expect from the most absolute perfect aircraft :D Stunning video, gorgeous views. Your 757 videos are truly the best out there on the internet
superb video all around! beautiful engine whine and really nice scenery during flight. what more could a plane enthusiast ask for! thanks for sharing. rob
One of your best !! But I've said that about so many of your video's already. :-) Perfect engine sound, and you climbed to altitude so quickly. I love coming out of that turn and seeing the coastline again. WOW. Can't wait to see you land in Chicago. HD Aviation......The only way to fly. Walter
***** even though the 737 ng is my favourite airplane and the cfm56 for 737 is my favourite engine it is still sad to see the 737 900 replace the 757 and the cfm56 replace the good old Rolls Royce rb211 for the 757
Nice video. Do you always sit next to strangers while on board these flights? Also, have you even been busted/caught filming shorty before departure/landing before? And one last thing? When is your next trip? Are you planning to go to Southeast Asia next? In the next three videos, will there be a landing at Newark Airport? Thank you very much.
Beautiful vid.. Nice view of Catalina Island and he coastline toward he end there... My favorite commercial plane to fly on by far.. The familiar noise you hear on these motors has to do with the shape of the fan tips and the shockwaves of them going supersonic.. Shame they saw it as a "flaw" and "fixed" it on subsequent motor designs...
Fantastic! I flew UA 757 from EWR to LHR. Very comfortable actually. (Was this plane really delivered in 2010? Or was that the switchover date from Continental?)
That was the switch over date! Glad you liked the video so much! I agree on the comfort level of United's internationally configured 757! Thank you so much for the comment!
LA has a metro, but I think its tiny compared to other cities, and no commuter rail? Thats crazy considering its a large city, no wonder the traffic in LA is horrible
Takes off. Get's the heading then goes for the vectors. After a few minutes, ATC cleared them LEFT always left direct LAX then you're on your way to DAG or Daggett then you go on your merry way.
Love the 757 sound; I just don't like flying in them. Unless you're a narrow-assed 150 pounder, you're gonna be cramped if you're not in first class, especially if you're stuck in the sandwich seat. I much prefer an MD80.
+Mastacheifa 118 Yes, your comment was totally random and pointless. This is LAX and @1:14 was a United maintenance hanger. Do you know how many different airlines have maintenance hangers at LAX?? Continental and United merged in 2010.This aircraft was 1st delivered to Continental in 1994. img.planespotters.net/photo/139000/original/n17105-continental-air-lines-boeing-757-224wl_PlanespottersNet_139475.jpg
Mah, nicely done as always. The rolling baritone thunder of those engines is soothing enough that some people could be put to sleep. Check out my videos landing in Vegas and Chicago Midway.
You sure that’s first class? I have sat in first class on a 757 and you can’t even see the engines because your so far up front? Are you confused with economy select? For sure this is way too close to the engine to be in first..
Can't hate the 757. Big wing, powerful engines, and rather lightweight. 757s are the masters of short-runway takeoffs.
+Mastacheifa 118 It's a great aircraft! Glad you enjoyed it so much! Thank for the comment!
Love the 757 and RR, match made in heaven!
I can't wait for my next 757 flight, flown on both the -200 and -300. Never gets old hearing those RR's powering up!
I hope you enjoyed it!
757: The best aircraft ever made.
It's awesome!
Love the rolls royce engines on this aircraft
Bollocks! A340-600 takes that title!
indeed!
@@LordMattyA87 ok dumbshit, lol.
Man I love the sound of the RR and GE-90 engines! Such raw power!! Stunning!
Absolutely love that sound!!
It's my favorite for sure!
MUSIC TO THE EARS THE WONDERFUL 757
One of the greatest engine spools you will ever hear long live the RB211s!
This makes me want to go on a plane again...
DarkReality Me too!
757 at its finest, absolute perfection!
It's awesome for sure! Glad you liked the video so much!
Music to my ears!
Check out this awesome takeoff from LAX!!! I really love the engine sound on this one!!!

+Tiernan Mchugh Absolutely! Got to take advantage!

Perfect engine sound for the perfect planes! Boeing has used this same engine in their 747, 757 and 767!
It's absolutely great! I'm glad you liked it so much! Thank you for the comment!
Best sounding engines.... period they are basically the predecessor of the IAE’s
Great Video! Keep It Up
Glad you liked it! Thanks for your viewership!

wow....what a powerful takeoff with FULL load factor!?
FANTASTIC, how many hundred flights you have yet on your favourite airplane, the B752? :-)
Who knows! It's a great aircraft and truly worthwhile! Glad you liked it so much! Thanks for the comment!

Did u film the landing?
Yes!
Awesome video. :D how do you keep your videos so smooth? Mine always turn out shaky.
Glad you liked it! I try to prop my arms up against the seat and the wall so that my hands move less! Thanks for the comment!
Cool thanks for the tip.
LA has a metro, but I think its tiny compared to other cities, and no commuter rail? Thats crazy considering its a large city, no wonder the traffic in LA is horrible
I love the weather though!
The entire city of Los Angeles is 503 square miles.
Takes off. Get's the heading then goes for the vectors. After a few minutes, ATC cleared them LEFT always left direct LAX then you're on your way to DAG or Daggett then you go on your merry way.

Oh god....the MD80? You couldn’t pay me to fly in one of those bucket of bolts.
But the MD-80 have a crap sound
Did the pilot have the engines running at max throttle for the entire video? xD
+Mastacheifa 118 No, they were never at full thrust!
The Aircraft was "1st" delivered to Continental in 1994. It's not as young as 2010.

Do u love us airways! Even though this is united
I like both!
Damn.... can't get enough of that whining noise!!
+Mah584jr HD Aviation, I Think someone copied this same exact video
+Hayden Sanders, You're right, he has the same exact video. Except this video was posted before.
Some day turbofans will be driven by brushless DC motors powered by Li Ion batteries.
i hope that will NEVER happen!
4200 rpm
