Watch any interview of Scott Weiland during his final months and you will not see the enigmatic and captivating front-man that we all came to know and love during the 90s and early 2000s. You will see a broken, defeated and empty version of his former self.
Often seen staring into an abyss that to Scott, must have seemed impossible to escape from. Separated from the world surrounding him, isolated, alone and depressed. A man, about to breath his last breath.
His physical and mental struggles were on show for everyone to see. Which begs the question, why did nobody help him. Why was he left to fall deeper and deeper into what must have been his own personal hell, a hell that cost him his life?

There’s no reason to be mean or ugly. It was a really decent documentary even though it may have centered around the lead singer. It was still a good documentary.

Thank you for making this video, got me crying. I live with my bass player and best friend, he is an alcoholic and Scotts story is so alike to his. Its so heartbreaking when you talk heart to heart with an addict and they later disregard the conversation. I wish we human beings knew how to treat addicts better and to undertand addiction more.

I love Scott Weiland and have a tremendous appreciation for his prodigious ability as a lyricist, musician and a front man. That being said I can see his band mates point of view here and I do understand it.
Their message in this was quite clear. Their message was...."Sure go to rehab but you got yourself into this addiction by making very selfish and destructive choices. Understand that because you are part of this band that the irresponsible decisions you make do not only affect you, they affect us all. So please go to rehab but know that when you decided to engage in behavior you knew would put your health and wellbeing at risk as well as your ability to effectively function in this band you were effectively putting the whole band and it's other members in the position where they would not be able to generate income.

Scott’s lyrics the melodies he created in Velvet R.
In a doc the drummer Matt S. said “ married to a stripper” to describe being in a creative relationship with him.
He was a sensitive man and I loved his lyrics I’m sorry he OD’d alone in a tour bus.

A story does not have to include every single aspect of the topic in question, that isn't how a documentary works. STP stopped being STP after Scott Weiland.

@@RAWMUSICTV I know how documentaries work. Especially thorough documentaries. And what happened to them after he died and sense is still important. They as a band and people still matter. Whether U care or like the music they did after him (that U probably never even heard) or not. Sometimes it's better to think about what U respond with so as not to give the wrong impression that you're not very smart. Just dismiss them because Scott Weiland wasn't still there. Yeah you're right they don't matter without him lol

However it's not depressant type substances like heroin and alcohol that expand creativity. Depressant substances keep the serotonin level low and having a low level of serotonin, during a long period, promotes the destruction of neuronal connections.

He was sober for a long time. He had beautiful children and a lovely wife and family. He beat his demons at one point. This kind of dramatization negates a lot of those facts. He lived the American rock star dream, so fuck it...this focuses on the sad shit, what about all the adventures he had and all the fun he had with his band etc.? All this sad shit doesn't focus enough on his victories. SADLY this doc just copies all those bad MTV rockumentaries. So lame and unoriginal omg. LOL!
