      Hopefully Jameson sees this but some games you have medics so you usually sit down with hand up and wait for the medic to "revive" you by putting a tourniquet on your arm. The blue shirt guy is trying to block part of his view and show his team mates mustangs location by facing him

      Very apt description too. Even if the game had medics in play, last thing you'd want is to lure them into a KickingMustang set up 😂 Normal player would take the walk back to respawn and carry on with their day. I think I've been playing for 10 years now. And yeah, that's the most basic.
      But I'd include a death rag too in a bright neon colour. People get pissed off all the time when they get shot after "clearly" being dead.
      But if someone is just waltzing around with a replica gun in their hand, wearing enemy colours, it's obviously not as clear as most people think it is.
      So if you don't want to get shot by multiple people as you're going back to a respawn point, wear or wave a death rag around.

    • @SurelyIjest206
      @SurelyIjest206 3 года назад

      @@sevenproxies4255 Back when I played paintball the rule was if you didn't want to get shot while dead keep the gun in one hand pointing down and your other hand up in the air or on top of your head until out of the play area.

      @sevenproxies4255 3 года назад

      @@SurelyIjest206 Yeah, that can work sometimes. But let's just say that people aren't always thinking straight.
      Also some people refuse to carry death rags and think that just holding an open hand up should be enough to cause players to stop shooting.
      But sometimes you don't have the luxury of a full body target. Sometimes you're just shooting at an exposed leg, arm or shoulder.
      So it's best to just do something that is very visible and unmistakeable.
      Bright, neon colours are more visible in the woods compared to a raised hand where the arm and glove is covered in camo if you catch my drift.

    Hello Jameson, first off love the channel! Secondly I’ve been in the airsoft game for years and have done it all, there are special events known as mil-sims where players who are well versed in tactics that they’ve learned from the teams they play for. As far as money to made there is some depending on different events mostly speed softing (paintball but with airsoft), however Mil-sims have 2 teams where they typically compete over the course of 3 days and the winners are determined after. There are many different ways to play and a ton of guns and stuff. To answer your basic questions some snipers can shoot very far depending on what’s in your gun, what gram bb your using, springs, etc.. There are also guns that are HPA (high pressures air) in which can shoot harder and farther with the ability to adjust it on your field limit. Now an average player who wants a decent gun (M4, Pistol(any type), sniper, etc.) would probably spend around $150-200 on a beginner gun, now if we’re talking about goggles, helmets, jpc’s, and the camo, it could range anywhere to $100, however it depends on the brand of item. Now I have friends who have spend thousands and are wearing over 3 grand for their rig it’s insane! Hope this helps a little to clear stuff up!

    To answer some of the questions you had about airsoft, every "field" has different rules, fps restrictions, requirements, etc, but, depending on the owner, they might be more flexible about these.
    Sop and safety protocol are always stated before the match or op (if the event is one or more days long).
    1. When you're "tagged" by a bb, sop will either be to walk back to respawn or take a knee where you were shot, unless you're in the middle of a firefight, in which case lay on your back. The ladder is usually when there is a bleed out time and can potentially be revived by a teammate through wrapping a bandage on one of your limbs.
    2. You can silently tag someone out through either placing your palm on the opponent's body or tapping them with a synthetic training knife. This depends on the event's rules and talking to the owner.
    3. Terrain, in my experience, effects what fps(feet per second) is allowed. If you're playing on a "field" where there's a combination of woods, streets, and structures, then you'd have to carry two guns. A primary with a high fps so you have the range, velocity, and accuracy needed for mid-long range, and a secondary (usually a pistol or sub machine gun) for cqc. I've met players who carry a weapon that is able to do both, but performance won't be as great for mid-long range (depending on the fps).
    Side note, green gas powered airsoft guns can adjust their fps, but I've never used one, so I don't know if it could be done in a timely manner with ease.
    There are other variables, but I won't ramble. I hope this helped.

    Hi Jameson love the vids. There are national Airsoft tournys in the UK (Scotland v England) and yes, commonly referred to as the bang rule within a certain distance, you can Jason Bourne takedown some people if youre quick, quiet, or stupid enough. Better pack the plastic ka-bar if youre quick enough. Or the lightsabre.

    4:40 it depends on the game mode. Some times when you get hit you walk back, some times you wait for a few minutes in case a medic player can reach you and get you back in the game. In this case there's usually a "bleedout" mechanic in which if a medic doesn't reach you in X minutes, you go back.

    For your terrain question, I prefer a mix of light wooden buildings in mainly wooded areas with open areas. A little snow is always nice and helps to keep cool during the entire session, though I've started to run gas guns more now so that complicates things a little. However, not too much snow as my gear is still forest camo-ed

OR once you can no longer be revived by a medic you have to trudge back to the "spawn" or starting area. IT seems this in depth VIP sort of scenario might be this sort of case. Sometimes they have pretty elaborate rules.

It is fun, I don’t take it to the extreme and hey my sons still want to hang out with me so we make it a guys weekend, there are some great venues to play at that are used by military and LEOs for their training that will allow milsim events and I think that’s the best terrain to play.

    That's including the replica gun, spare magazines, some sort of carrying system, boots, protective eyewear/mask, camo uniform, hydration vessel, pouches, batteries and so on.
    But some people might spend that money alone on the gun and buying gear too. There's a wide variety of tuning options for the gun, as well as different propellant options (electric, green gas, CO2, HPA)
