- Not a gaming video (sorry?) Trying something new.. rather, addressing a friend's question. Gonna geek out a bit with some Google forms submissions using QR code.

This is a gem - there are too many apps out there trying to fleece people, when they can do it perfectly for themselves with a bit of thought. Thanks for doing the thinking!!
I absolutely love this. Awesome work man!!!! Looking forward to other stuff you'd come up with...
Your personality and presentation both need appreciation...
Thank you for this great video....
You taught me more than I had expected in this...
You don't know how much I appreciate this video!!! I never found the code but typed in what you had. It worked! Brilliant!
Thank you so much, this is really helpful. Trying to find a way to mark attendance for our over 500 students is not easy task. This technique is so useful in many ways. Learn alot from this video.
Really hope to see more of such videos. I am also from Singapore. Thanks alot and may god bless you.
telegram and location based QR CODES! im gonna get crazy
If you have an internet at home and you don't want to be late, scan your code and your attendance will be automatically submitted. :) But, overall it was a great idea.
Super, thanks , i created a qr code for several products , you can use it also as an inventory system !
You better sleep..your video is insane
Just the information I needed! Thanks.
THANK YOU
Nice idea. I use this for taking attendance for club events, I use the viewform link, have members enter their info after they scan the QR code at the event. Saves more time, instead of creating an individual QR code for each person.
well I took your idea to another level. The problem I had with your qr codes was that they could only be used for one spreadsheet and for my idea I needed a qr code that multiple teachers could use, for example if every teacher has her/his own spreadsheet where they could register student attendance. So instead of full prefilled submit link my qr codes have only information that goes into the form fields. That is where my app comes in. App functionality is very simple, you press a button, scan a qr code, and uppon scanning the code it injects the information that it got from qr to the formResponse link and opens it. This way if I needed to send same information to another spreadsheet, I wouldn't need to print out whole stack of new qr codes for students, but instead I would only need to edit 2-3 lines of code.
+GdR696 What app is that? Is it free. I would need some thing like that for a hospital in Guatemala, its a very poor country and we need to help manage physicians time. Thanks
+Dr. Marco Paez it doesn't really have a name nor is it available on Google play store. I made it with MIT app inventor 2
No reply? I've been tearing my hair out over this issue! I find NO APP for this!
AWESOMEEEEEEEE !!!!!!!!!!!! Bro!! You are really awesome!! ... Thanks. This is really one whole new level!!
Thanks for the video. Helped me a lot!
You are an absolute LEGEND!!!
Thanks this is great! But a question: how do I do this and take it a step further to calculate time in, time out, and the duration? Also with an hour lunch break
how to get aoutomatic detection gps in google form, so we are't entry manual location/coordinate
nice! this is genius
how to make it private? because other people can scan qrcode anywhere to take attendance
This is very helpful. But I got a problem. If we reload the page it is auto submitting the responses. Do you have any solution for this?

At a workshop what keeps someone from scanning their own QR code for attendance?
I'm thinking of using this in my classroom this year. I'm thinking that I will not give the QR codes to the students. Instead, I will keep them and scan myself. You could do the same thing at a workshop. It would simplify registration greatly!
Once I change the URL from viewform to formresponse, it works when I copy and paste the url, it counts it as a response to the form and doesn't make me fill out the form. However, when I use my qr scanner on my phone and scan the code of the same URL it makes me fill out the form versus submitting the form upon scanning. Help please.
Is there a way to restrict the access of the QR code to a specific area? That is, the form should accept entry only if it's accessed from the office lotlang.
You messed up. when you send the format you can short the url in the same window. 9:26
see it?? shorten url
hi im about to use this method for my attendance in my college dinner. is it possible ?
Useful Stuff..
+Casually NERDS, this video is amazing. One doubt though, when using within my work domain, it gives a pop up for verifying submission. I am actually making it mandatory to collect email ids, so when I scan the QR Code it gives a verification pop up (that do you want to make the submission). Is it possible to remove this pop up and simply submit ?
What are you trying to do? Like what's the use of submitting default responses? Thanks
How can i use this and make sure that the qr codes are scanned from only specific phones
Would there be a way to do exactly the same thing using office 365 and the Microsoft forms? i can't seem to find the "autofill" response fonction in microsoft's version...thank you
this is s great! however, is there anyway for us to take this offline; and maybe udate information lter once the mobile phone goes online with my home wifi? --- I really appreciate sir, thank you :)
Will it be possible to use QR Codes in an offline mode? I really need it in an area without internet connectivity.
Confusing
THANK YOU SO MUCH
How to get present & absent results. Plzz
hi this is great effort of yours. heard that some people said, systems are meant to be abuse.
what's best to avoid students from scanning their own prior coming to the class?.
Only distribute the codes to the teachers or professors...NOT THE STUDENTS!
how to add present/absent status?
SO MANY BLAA...BLAAA...JUST TEACH ...DONT BLAA..BLAAAA
great video!
Hi, I don't know if you can help me but I am looking for a solution. I am part of a club and for every meeting we have I make a google form where people can answer if they are coming or not coming. It is a group of 24 people. Sometimes not every one answers and I am wondering if there is a way to see the list of people who hasn't answer yet?
use doodle.com
hello mate, please what is the name of the android emulator you use to mirror your phone to your pc?
Super cool video and very useful.
One question about this is for the multiple checkins it gives with scanning the QR code. Have you found or can you find a solution for this? Have tried goo.gl and bitly but both do the same.
Thanks for the great video!
+Olav de Jong Hi there! Nope, I haven't found any solution to the issue. It happens randomly, sometimes never. My guess is how the url shorten-er redirects, or the device (QR reader) software itself.
There is a work around by using the spreadsheet remove duplicate function though.
+Casually NERDS It does happen randomly yes, and indeed sometimes not at all. All well. I am very happy with this video and I am definitely going to use this.
Thank you for the tip on the spreadsheet duplicate remover function!!! Would this work the same for a check OUT function. Could you maybe help out a little there with creating log-in log-out option for classes?
Thanks a million!
Olav de Jong might be tricky to do check in and out since duplicate remove will only keep one. you might need to change the linked sheet between classes to separate one sheet for in and one for out.
alternatively, you can add another field to the form to denote in/out. but this will require some manual intervention. meaning you have to omit amending the url for form submit and switch to just form view.
This will bring whoever is scanning (let's call him Bob) to the form with the fields populated with particulars of who was scanned (name, etc) except for the check in/out status where Bob have to select in or out and then submit the form.
@@CasuallyNERDSTube Duplication on scanner can be solved
this video could have been 30 seconds long.
This is a nice idea, but a student can actually scan the code at home and not be present in the class (if you need it for the class). Is there any way of putting restrictions on where the code can be used?
What if one student present at class gave the password for another student not attending class?
I think the teacher's device is being used to scan the barcodes. It's a great idea if the serial number of the said device will also be submitted.
Duplicate solved
sir your surname is de dios cause I am a de dios marlito pm me thanks you
crimineel
very nice idea, but a horrible presentation...
