ATTENTION: (9/4/24): The google charts api is malfunctioning. This is the one I've used in my QR videos. I suggest changing it for now to this one qrcode.tec-it.com

I've added another qr code for when items are scanned out. How would I update the quantity in stock logic so it shows the correct quantity when an item has been scanned out?

hi there very interesting video soo much to learn about it!
with this technique is it possible to create the input/output forms for different users (only for output and some in and output).
and when you scan the QR code that you can put in the number of items you in input or output so that you dont have to scan 10 times the same code to have the right amount of items in or out?
I'm looking to do this for a long long time but never find how to do it! this idea of you may bring me to the good path. just wondering is the items mentioned above were possible to add in ? :)

If I wanted to be able to input a number for the quantity of item from just scanning the QR once, like if I purchased 20 shirts that were all the same and wanted to add them into the inventory. Instead of just scanning 20 times, can I somehow have the google form recognize the different unique names still but also keep a running quantity total? Sorry if this didn't make sense

Hello, Thank you so much for your video. I tried adding new products and dragging the URLs and the QR code. I also added the product name onto the google form, when I tried to scan the qr code it kept saying a new question was added, and it didn't let me automatically submit the form. How can I add new products and have everything else work?

Wireless bar code scanner. Bar code scanners are nice because they just tell the computer the number and then carriage return. Then just the coding portion (I know I make it sound easy lol)

Can we modify the quantity displayed from the QR? (for example if in a reading there´s 50 of the same product i just scan 1 and i can count the whole batch)
we could add a field in the form of quantity so you could add a lot of the same product

so does that mean we have to enter both in the form and in the COlumn A the products? or is there a way to simply fill the form (or the Column, vice versa) and it would fill the other one ?
It should be one or the other. But you still have to have the question ecause you need the id

Is there a way I can use the QR code to also track the location of the product? Like if we had pre determined "aisles" or sections the product can be placed like A1, A2...
Hmmm. You would have to open the form so you could manually write the location

I spent a lot of time searching for videos and this was by far the best easy to follow video. I simply want to track company assets as they leave the warehouse and when they get returned so I have set up two bar codes per asset but how do I get google sheets to enter the name of the individual that is scanning the item to appear on the spreadsheet without the employee having to enter their name each time in a field on the google form or is this not an option? Also, how do I print the QR codes and possible name them with the asset name (ie. baker-1, baker-2, baker-3)?

If i print this on my product label so its easier for someone to scan it and out the product. Can I take the response only for a particular email ID so when someone buys my product and scans at home, the stock shouldn't work there.

If I have more than 1000 items, can I find/go to the specific cell (for example A556) by scanning QR code?
Yes I think so
You stand in the cell, right click get the link for the cell, and this is what you will put in the QR Code. I wouldn´t know how to make it dynamic though

It could be that the qr generator from google stopped working. You shoul change it for something like this

Is there something like this which will allow tracking the use of tools? I would like to be able to loan tools out and know who has them. Of course check them back in when they are returned, and even allow people to exchange the tools using their cell phones.
Very interesting case, I would use thw QR but taking the to a form where they would put their name and maye more data

if for 1 input i would like an extra word to go on the input sheet on a second column... is there any way? like I know a QR can have tons of info.. if lets say in input there is timestamp then on ther other column the product name .. is there a way to add another column that could be example the customer name and so on .. ?

Up to my knowledge (which is not too much), I think not, given that normal barcodes store numbers and not urls (I think)

Hi! I've gotten to the stage where I'm editing the URL To Input to add &A2 at the end.
But when I try and test scan the new QR code instead of opening the link to the Google Form it says "Note:" and tries to make a note that has the link and the word "guitar" (I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus)
I checked I have all my quotation marks etc in the right places. Any suggestions?
Nevermind - apparently it is my phone. When I use a different QR scanner it works

I followed your instruction. I am still getting stuck at 11:56. I spend 5 hours to figure out how to do QR code. It is not easy.
You are right there is a bug with the google chart api.
You need to change it with an alternative such as this
="quickchart.io/qr?text="&ENCODEURL(A2)
