Wait....WHAT?! Someone used a RULER for scale??😲 Don't they know that a banana is the only acceptable item for establishing size in a photo?! 🍌🤣🤣🤣

I thought the US standard of measurement was The Football Field? ....I've even heard of a whale that was 1/3 of a football field long.

    • @cmtippens9209

@@impunitythebagpuss - Well, yes, our football field being 100 yards (91.44 meters) long is a good measurement for larger objects, like said whale, however, bananas are the standard for desktop objects, kitchen utensils, tools of all sorts, and various & sundry thingamabobs and doodads. Hope I have been of assistance. 🙂

I think the last item may have been for books. It should stand on its end and books placed upright between the wood block & the metal coil.

    • @ittybittykittymama7582

I also believe the last item is a book end. It is used in a singular form. The coil is a coil spring. The block and coil are laid down with the block against one end of a book shelf with a vertical side. Books are then placed between the coil and the other side of the book shelf. The spring tension holds the books in place.

The last item looks like a table cloth clamp for picnics. They usually came as a set of four and kept the wind from blowing everything away. The spring shape made it fit various thicknesses of table tops.

Staddle stones are also used in England. They can be seen in either the Victorian Farm or Edwardian Farm documentary series. Both are available on RUclips.
I've seen enough period shows to have recognized the butler's tray table.
