    Topic of this video: The video topic today is talking about why amazon delivery drivers (especially new hires) quit the job so fast. So many people apply and so many people don't show up to the job or leave. Working at amazon isn't the hardest thing in the road, but these are some reasons why some drivers are not willing to come back to work at amazon.

    I joined this gig not really and truly knowing what I was getting into. I had a LOT of emotions coming into this job from the get go. I was scared, worried, excited, and just so many emotions all at one time! I'll tell you all this... I'm 31 years old, 254 lbs, 6'0. I joined with a couple health issues like, Diabetes, and high blood pressure. So as you can imagine, I was insanely scared and questioned my self SO much before my first day. I'll tell you this, and this is only coming from MY experience, and MY Dsp. I love it. I love being able to be ALONE, being able to simply jam out to my music and just vibe out for the entire day and just do ME. That's what makes it worth it for me. I was a super at home type of person, and worked from home before this, and I have to say, I'm toning down in weight, my diabetes is getting low! And my overall health is so much better then where I was before! IF you enjoy being alone, being in your own zone, and just working in "kinda" your time, and enjoy traveling a little bit, you'll probably love this job. I swore I would hate it, but honestly, this is probably the best job I've got. AGAIN, it ALL depends on your DSP! Your DSP will either make your journey horrible or amazing! My personal DSP gives and DEMANDS for us to take our two 15 min breaks, and our 30 min lunch. So again, it ALL depends on your DSP, NOT amazon, even though amazon as a company is kinda poop and we SHOULD be getting paid WAY more for what we're doing, but I promise you if you find the right DSP, you will enjoy this job. Big ups to Juan for these videos too!

    Over worked underpaid. They load tiny vans as full as they possibly can, then expect you to run your ass off in freezing snow or boiling heat. You get four carts full of totes and boxes, then they rush you in the loading process. Your van is so loaded. You waste a ton of time at your stops looking for overflow packages. They give us so many stops that you cannot take a lunch or you will fall behind, you can usually take one of your 15 minute breaks. The GPS they use is atrocious. The pay is shit. They find any excuse to not give us bonus'. I hate this job. I've given it 5 months, I'm done. I've been turning in job apps, as soon as I get another offer I'm gone.

    Being a driver for 3 months my biggest complaint is GROUP STOPS.
    Example.......1 stop with 11 packages at 4 different houses 😡

    I have worked at the post office before and I currently work for Amazon. I'm a student and this job has been terrible. There are way too many packages and stops. I had 270 parcels today but what kills me is delivering 1 freaking package to an apartment building. Then cross a busy major intersection in zig zag patterns. This job is for those who are desperate and I highly recommend to look for another job that offer tips or higher pay. I quit today 17 an hour is not worth my time

      ALL packages for apartments should either be put in a side room offset from the office, or the mailroom . this bullshit of going inside the apartment and delivering it to their door is nonsense and not needed

      this is EXACTLY what i said. The trucks should already be loaded and organized by the warehouse but obviously they’re gonna place all the blame on the DA the same way how the dsp gets held accountable for our actions. its just ridiculous

      I’m starting to think the new generation may be smarter then the older people..I literally thought of all this on my first day.
      1. Have all the trucks loaded in order already.
      2. Team drivers.
      3. Being nice to your employees.
      4. Make sure your dispatch aren’t having relationships with the drivers cause the favoritism is crazy.

      @@EBKDanteMustDiethey are contractors at Amazon just like fed ex. The trucks are owned and maintained by the owner not Amazon.. the packages are already in order with numbers on the in order on skids. They just come in and put them in their truck in the order that is already laid out for them..

      @@stahlah9036 You say that until they aren't. They're supposed to be ordered but a lot of times they're not and overflow is the main thing they really need to have organized. I know it's hard because of the packages and their different sizes but someone needs to find a way. Especially if we are supposed to find a way with just 13 minutes loading it up into our van. And don't even get me started on the amount of mislabeling they do. Is it a box is it a package or an envelope? I've had everything mis labeled even from a small box being called a large box. Small things like that add up when you're out on your route being pressured to go fast.

      @@stahlah9036 My biggest problem with the orders being put in totes.... Sometimes I'm delivering to the same house 2-3 times a day on a route because it's another tote. It pisses me off knowing that some of these stops I'm coming back to at the beginning, middle, & end of my shift. Another problem are the notes be contradicting.
      Rear delivery... - yet their gates aren't accessible from the other side... or they have a dog in the yard.

    I been working for a DSP for 2 years and the only thing I still struggle with sometimes is how physical this job can be and some people think it’s easy but when you got 3 boxes of dog food going up a steep driveway with no dolly really irritated me I was so close to quit. But then I realized I’m stronger than this so I pushed through 😂

    Amazon expects too much, that is why there are MANY job listings for delivery position. They really need to make the hard decision to cut down on package count or just enough for 8 hour shift. Don't dick ride saying "I can do 300 in 6 hours" okay good for you.

    i worked at amazon warehouse, training is bad and they expect robot numbers with 0 errors . if you do well the manager rewards you with even higher targets.... and no bonuses.

      You can get vacation time if you ask ahead. I know my driver sometimes asks for days off. She was also off part of Christmas week, because she asked for it off.

    Unfortunately I quit after two weeks. “This job is not as easy as it sounds” that’s especially for me! On my 2nd day I was given a FULL route, literally over 300+ packages. Plus my van was so packed I couldn’t even organize it until they sent me a rescue.

    The stop count will just keep going up till you get routes you cant complete. Low pay, huge unsafe routes is why my team has went from 85 drivers to 30 drivers in 3 months.

    I think one of the reasons is the amount of hours they give you. some weeks youll get the 40hrs, but sometimes theyll take a day from your schedule for whatever reason. I like the flexability of the hours, and even if it may be a bit physical, its good for those who want or like to keep in shape.

    Because DSPs are on a leash with Amazon rules and regulations. The rules and regulations require illegal work techniques. Including skipping all breaks and ignoring legit concerns.
    1. In 2023, you lose money (weekly incentives) for braking or accelerating too hard. They make it impossible to avoid by making the braking/acceleration super sensitive. It's a joke.
    2. They don't care about your safety. They don't have a way to have the AC on and lock your doors (even with electric vans) which cook you alive in the van. I usually ignore and get in trouble for keeping the van AC on.
    3. You will be written up for not finishing a certain amount of routes, even if it's not your fault. I've been required to skip my breaks to complete routes on times.
    There are too many BS things Amazon requires that should be taken to court. Unfortunately Amazon is too big of a company to fight....

    I’m finishing up my first week of nursing routes. I have Amazon flex experience so I know what to expect.
    The one thing that lacks in my DSP is COMMUNICATION. When I started, I didn’t know how to clock in on the app, I didn’t know when we got paid, and I’m a student and I mentioned that in my interview and she keeps scheduling me on the one day that the schedule interferes with my school.
    Also a ride along would’ve been so helpful. I had no experience driving the van. And we drive 30min-1hour to deliver. Driving next to semi trucks on the freeway was overwhelming. I’m used to it now but I still get a little nervous.
    Oh and another thing was that no one showed me how to pump gas in the van 😂 I was looking all over for the gas cover only to ask another driver and it’s in the driver side door 🤦🏻‍♀️
    It always seems to be the little things they miss because all they care about are packages. But I really do like the job

      lol when you’re thrown in there you usually figure most things out on your own. It’s sucks but it’s the job. Lol ride along would b so beneficial.
      Driving those vans just looks intimidating, but very double. Lol

      My nursery routes were like over 150 stops on a small ass cargo van with over 200+ packages plus they sent me to the worst route Ever known to everyone in my hub on my first day. I had to be rescued

    I completely agree. My DSP has some vans that the side door does not close. I told them and they said it is what it is. It shouldn’t slow you down. So I’m riding around with the side door open and lost some packages without even knowing

      @@gregkareem9824 well my view on amazon has changed ever since. i actually think amazon cares more about the drivers than the dsp owners for the simple fact that they don’t offboard you for stuff that is clearly their fault. the dsp owner does and they’re all cheapskates seeking to pay their driver’s as little as they possible can. So in theory yes but it’s more so that the drivers reflect the dsp owner whether you like it or not.

    Ride along so important that why in 2020 when I first tried the job I was so lost I forgot my code to unlock the phone they give I didn't know where house were apartment was a bit tricky and I never had that if I would've had a ride along people won't have to feel like it so stressful I wish pandemic didn't ruin ride along. Hopefully once ride along comes back I'll probably give the job another try also keep up the youtube grind

    I currently work for amazon and this is completely true. You can't take your breaks because you fall behind and we only take lunch because it's mandatory. You get 180 to 200 stops with about 300 to 330 packages. And they are actually lying on the stops we do more than that because some of them are grouped and and the stops are not even near by. It was pouring rain and my company told me amazon alerted then I was behind. Its pouring rain, the map routes are wrong sometimes they literally want you to stop in the middle of super busy streets to make drop offa so you end up parking almost a block away to make several deliveries. Its ridiculous then they still message you and tell you why are you behind. Smh

    I came from a call center and had almost no problem doing the job after my knees and feet got used to it. But the training methods previous managers were using were an absolute joke. I started doing ride alongs and really showing drivers how to do the job for 2 stops then slowly putting more and more of the job on their plate until by the end of the ride along they were doing the job. I was praised for how well that technique worked to acclimate new drivers in and get rid of those jitters. Im damn good at my job but theres a reason the last good person in my role quit and im following suit.

    Also my dsp was complaining that a few drivers were looking down too much and they get citated for that. Amazon training really wants you to be safe then when you get on the field you get with vans that have broken sliding doors, broken side mirrors and low pressure tire even bald tires 😂.

    Broooo, my first day.. One of the guys that worked there was like "oh, they'll give you a nursery route, like 100 packages." I had 200 packages and no ride along with me in my U-Haul van!. Got the packages delivered but wanted to quit halfway through. I finished at 8pm. I did the same amount of packages today and got through the route 2 hours faster. I went through and watched your delivery videos. Thanks for making your videos! DSP for life! 🤣

    I think it has a lot to do with perspective, and it also has a lot to do with what you enjoy. Personally, all my favorite jobs have been driving/delivery jobs, because I like driving around, I like being left alone, I like listening to my music, and I like the exercise. I've worked a few jobs that were far more taxing on my body and a lot more stress, and I'd take delivering packages any day over those jobs.

    To me the job looks easy on paper because you’re literally just driving a van around all day to peoples houses and delivering packages but the process of doing so can be difficult and very time consuming and I feel like that’s what DSPs don’t talk about which I think they should because it would let people know exactly what they’re getting themselves into, what I feel like DSPs don’t talk about is the geo-fence not being correct, vague delivery instructions, the amount of packages you’re delivering, getting stuck in the elements like snow or rain, delivering to multiple businesses and a few other things.

    I get 300+ packages done by 6:00 almost everytime but still have to go rescue others. It’s exhausting

    a lot of people are going to be quitting because of netradyne ai cameras , and the customers being able to see our portraits and other details. if amazon seriously keeps doing this? it might as well close it's doors

      What I had no idea the customer could see our photos before even getting there.. that’s bs and invasion of privacy. Was wondering what the picture in flex was for before getting the vans in the morning.. I thought maybe it’s just to prove you there or something.. this job is seriously underpaid

    Love this video. Yup, they don’t show anything until it’s your first day. Wrong of them. After my first day, I’m 95% ready to quit. I’m not going to push my health to deliver some packages.

    Hello, Juan I’m currently a Amazon delivery driver, I’ve been working here for 7 months already .. it’s tuff work but I got use to it… mainly because I would get the same 4 to 3 same routes mainly around the same area mostly houses, package count was really high 380 packages 190plus stops no breaks because honestly I was just trying to get home …But recently I got switched routes another city and I’m in a harder area less packages but more businesses and apartments and I’m in Los Angeles so traffic is outrageous in the afternoon idk I feel overwhelmed due to the fact that I was changed route and I’m in a busy area and now coming out at 9pm everyday… thinking about leaving the company but I’m try it a little longer see if I get use to this hard route

      Yeah. Routes are never guaranteed. You could be in one location for a long time and then switched out of no where. Sorry to hear that

    Four years in and it has gotten progressively worse every single day. The main issue is micromanagement and all of the bullshit rules to appease the entitled, ignorant, and ridicoulus customers who cannot provide a safe delivery location, control their dogs, or provide any way to actually access their fucked up driveway. That or to appease a useless Amazon middle management stooge who knows his job is completely useless and thus must justify to amazon the "value" of his position which they do by making up useless new rules for the drivers and warehouse staff that does nothing but make their jobs more difficult and further erode any autonomy they previously had. Amazon managment are the scum of the earth and you better believe if they every were legally allowed to turn their employees into slaves they would do so without a fraction of a doubt while convincing the mass of customers who dont care as long as they get their stupid useless package that its good for the employee and they will eat it up until Jeff and his worthless associates end up buying whatever industry they work in and they themselves get subjected to the amazon treatment. Fuck Amazon

    I think the whole DSP system is not meant to keep drivers to be honest. There’s DSP’s that don’t offer affordable benefits, growth, fair raises eventually people find something else and Amazon can terminate Dsps contract . I think this job is a stepping stone to do something else , if you’re a student or in my opinion a decent job for now.

    my company definitely doesnt do us any favors, one of the OGs put in his two weeks notice to work on his mobile detailing business, and another went to fedex. Our dispatch sometimes talks to us like idiots or not diplomatic with us. Everytime i take OT they come and rescue my route and wont send me to do rescues so last time i ended up working less hours over more days than had i not take OT.

    We are advised to take our lunch breaks AFTER our route is finished so we can use as much of the daylight as possible, which i understand bc it’s hell trying to find house numbers at night. But by the time I’m done i just want to go home so i don’t even take a break everyday

Because regardless if you take your break or not they don’t pay you for the 30min break that you take or don’t take. So imagine how many 30min of free volunteer work they get from each driver that does what you do everyday.

    Agree with the pay. They need to pay a liveable wage with the current inflation rate. My Owner is making around 150k while most of us (drivers) have to have one or two roommates to make ends meet.

    FedEx 20 - 30 dollars.... UPS can be 25 - 40 dollars... USPS 19 - 40 dollars... Amazon DSP 15 - 25 dollars (The Richest Company in the World... can't pay their drivers... becasue they want to contract out instead of having employees.... LOL)... This is in my area and since you will not last long as a DSP here you may have an average of around 18 dollars max... they quiet the job... LOL

    My Dsp is in over his head, he makes this easy ass job way more complicated by adding his own side rules on top of amazons already crazy list of micromanaging. I’ve been driving for about 3.5 months now, but i know for a fact this isn’t long term for me. This why the turnaround for drivers is soooooo high. Oh and we only get paid for the hours we work. So if i finish before 8 hours i only get paid for that time whereas some dsps pay u for 8-10 hours if u work u def 8hrs.

      some dsps will pay you a guarantee 10 hrs per shift, so even if you finish early you'll get 10 hours + bonuses for rescues.

    I had a DSP interview and he was the owner basically discouraged me and didn't want to hire me because I was 53 years old. I do only see younger people doing this job but this guy said it would be hard for him to do and definitely didn't think I could do it

      I was told the same thing. I'm a military vet and I was told my disability would be too hard to do this job.
      She also questioned my work ethic because I was a flex driver and they never worked out. She did hire me and I'm still here. Won't lie, I'm sore, but I hate being told I can't do something because of a disability rating. She didn't even ask what the ratings were. I was in a war zone, not all numbers are physical.

    I been with my DSP for 1 year and 6 months. They been good I get along very well with my supervisor and dispatch guy if I need a favor they do everything they can to help me. On peak during Christmas the company gave us bonus and gift cards which was not a lot but it was something. I’m student so I already starting to do side business with my mom and also maybe going to get my real estate license soon I just want to make the next step and leave Amazon. I only recommend Amazon if you want flexibility but like as a career hell to the no. I had one co worker left to work for postal service. Others to fedex. In my warehouse start of this year two DSP got there contract terminated due to bad performance

    My reason to quit my DSP was more because of the amount of hours we were actually doing ( around just 32 hours a week ) and the timeline to get paid ( every 3 weeks you actually receive 2 weeks ) . I heard some DSP give a guarantee 40 hours a week what could help to keep the drivers in case you don`t reach that amount every week .

    I’ve been at my DSP for 1 month now and I haven’t gotten a full 80 hours yet. We get paid biweekly. I don’t know who determines who gets routes for that day but sometimes on my schedule I will get a TBD and not be given a route for that day and get sent home. That’s a whole wasted day of no pay, the most time you’ll get is 2 hours for that day since they still want you to come in and you’ll help the other drivers load up their vans and after that you go home.

    I'm as tough and dedicated as the next guy or girl. I'll tell you what boils my blood and has me ready to quit for the 2nd or 3rd time in 5 months. That stupid fu**in E mentor app! I was getting events logged for innocent mistakes which was fine and got "talked to" . I started driving extra careful and safe but would still get events. So my hours and shifts went down. People would say we'll maybe its your delivery times (too slow) but that's funny because I was finishing by 5 or 6 and doing recues! If you change your driving style to be faster your just gonna more events. I've done the mentor hacks and have had plenty of 850 scores but when you check your score after driving on your ps and qs...and got dings...its bs..

    Training is terrible. If you're brand new they should just hit apartments and let the experience drivers show you tips and trips and how to get in to apartments and lockers etc. Not to mention I don't know who builds the route but if you have three or more drivers in the same area. Apartments should be divided evenly. Bc one day I had 100 stops only but over 50 of them were apartments. It's a pain and frustrating and mentally exhausting. It would help if routes were more balanced and even out. Plus with today's technology we should be able to enter apartments easier. Good luck and thank you to all you hero's that are still delivering. I was glad my DSP got audited and we all got "fire".

    My first day ride along went ok . Trainer told me I have to work faster if I need to finish early . I was done by 6:30 . I just need to step it up . I was getting the address wrong but corrected it . I forgot to scan a package. I’ll get it trust that I’m no quitter , I’ve worked on highway construction that was treacherous .

    I'm 2 days in on my own now. Definitely dig the job. Pay is decent for what it is but I Definitely see back when starting pay was $15/hr why people would quit. My dsp seems to be pretty good so far. We're supposed to get new vans at some point in the future so that'll be neat. I'm ready for peak season!! 😆

    I recently got hired as a driver. I had no ride along on my first day. I’m new to delivery driving and it was so frustrating without an experienced driver to show you tips and tricks. In my 2nd week I got randomly thrown on a full route when I’m “supposed” to still be on nursery routes. Not gonna lie the job feels overwhelming to me. Not gonna be here much longer.

    Im a loan officer for a brokerage company here in AZ. While the impending market is doomed right now and not many people buying homes. I had to seek something that will keep me busy and I actually love to drive. Just got through the 3 day training of watching boring ass videos that we have to get certified for after taking quizzes. The trainer gave us all the answers anyways lol it was a joke. I did my first 180 stops today and it was exhausting, some areas are not even on the GPS and cannot be pinned, got barked at by like 10 dogs mostly chihuahuas and other smaller breeds. 1 stop had like 15 group packages which sucked ass. I only took one 15 minute break and I had to be rescued. I’m a fit person, love to workout but this shit was exhausting especially during loadouts I hate how we have to do that. I am also driving the small cargo rental van not the prime vans yet. These vans have no shelf’s so all my totes are falling over the overflow packages. Im already thinking about quitting 😅

    I work two jobs first of all it’s a Lotta issues that’s wrong with the job number one the constant high demand of packages every day we were told after peak season we weren’t going to get so many I had 289 The day before yesterday came into work during the day this morning and died 300 and something with no rescue throughout the day it’s fucking frustrating

    I put in a month ago to get one day off to visit my grandma on her 100th birthday and it was like pulling teeth to get it approved. The dsp never got back to me I had to keep coming to them they seem inflexible the dsp I work for is always writing people up and they got rid of the one manager I really liked she was giving drivers little prizes and rewards for top driver lol. It’s good experience though and I can use it for something else I suppose.

    So, more pay and slightly less deliveries to allow drivers to actually have real breaks. I was looking at one and it is state the average stops for the day is 225. That seems like a lot, I know FEDEX, USPS, UPS, have a load of stops too. I was talking to the USPS guy for a brief second this morning and he run his main route at 79 stops, then two other routs at about 45 each. THIS is in a very small town! He has no time to stop, he is in and out. However, he gets a real lunch and extra time is built into the day for bathroom break if needed.
    I wouldn't take a $40k pay cut as a DSP. I do not think anyone will ever, they, the dsp are getting ripped off by Amazon already. They are taking the financial risk and should be rewarded accordingly.
    The solution? Amazon should be paying the DSP more with a minimum set in the contract that drivers are paid. I think the drivers should have a probationary pay scale of $18 for the first month through training, then bump them to $19, at the 3-month mark, bump to $19.50 and then the 6-month mark at $20.00 an hour.
    Compared to others, that is still very low pay. Perhaps at the 18 month mark, then they are $21 an hour with the 2-year mark at $22 an hour and then every year after that give a $1 raise till $25 an hour.

    Fargo North Dakota here. Kane logistics dsp. Untrusting. I was told to just inform them when my wife goes into labor or has complications. She’s full term and high risk pregnant. We also have 3 other kids. And no family here in Fargo. We moved here from California. Our family is in California. So we have no help out here. Yesterday, I tried to call out to be able to take my wife to hospital cause of her pain lvl. I was told no that I had to show up for my shift. No option to call out. So I went in. And today, she woke up bleeding. So I had to take her to hospital. And I’m told oh well, that I have to go in for my shift. Told me at first this situation would be understandable. I’ve kept them updated for a month on her condition so they knew about it. Knew that random time might come. And now that the time has come, I get disrespected and told I have to come in for my shift no matter the situation. Even if it meant leaving my 3 kids home alone. 7years old. 4years old. And 1year old. Im not leaving them alone. Wtf. So I called out. Now threatened to be fired. So I’m searching for a new dsp.

But no one actually knows when birth will happen. Her due date is the 19th. But their estimating her to go into labor sooner then that. I request the 19th to the 22nd or something, and it doesn’t happen, that’s time I lost. If it happens before that time, I don’t have time off. They tell me even if she goes into labor, I have to show up for my shift if I’m scheduled. They were nice to me up until I called out today to take my wife to the emergency room for possible labor. Dsp called me yelling at me with complete unprofessional disrespect. So there for I am currently putting in applications to other companies. Their no better then Amazon themselves. Treat their drivers like shit. Told them I have no sitter. No family out here. I have to be home with my kids. Boss still told me I have to come in for my shift. Then gave me shit when I told them I have no choice but to call out. I requested a fellow driver to cover tomorrows shift so I can be here to hopefully buy time till my wife is released. I put on there that the dsp rejected my emergency time off so I need to find cover for the shift. I then get a msg from dsp saying I put them on blast and made them look bad that she removed my request. That I can repost the request without an explanation of why I need the shift covered. Like, maybe if you actually treated us drivers correctly, you wouldn’t be “called out” as you put it. I put the truth. Why I needed the shift covered. I’m up front and honest. No matter who the fk I’m talking to. Boss or not. My dsp is now in full disrespect mode with me. I want to quit on the spot so damn bad because of how they lied to me from the start and how their treating my situation now. But have bills to pay. So I’m hoping I get another company to take me in. Target is a $2 deduct from what I’m making now. 15/hour 8 hour shifts. When rite now I’m making 17/hr 10-12 hour shifts. And still I’m willing to dump Amazon for less pay and less hours. I do not like being treated like this over something I have no control over

Wouldn’t they be able to see my FICO score once they scan my ID badge ? Or they scan my badge to document my score ? What’s the theory behind this ?

      No idea. Maybe the dsp asked them to keep track of your fico after every trip. Maybe they want to know who’s doing good or bad right after a trip

      @@IAmTheJuanAndOnly is it wrong to ask for a rescue ? Yesterday I had a bad day kind of. 88 deliveries 150 packages I had 7 super heavy boxes with hazardous materials. I noticed while loading another DA had a super light load less than 60 packages. He had 4 tots and a hand full of packages like 5 or 6. All on a step van. Only side of the shelves full yet his van still had a lot of space. He could of had a total different route but I know this guy was done by 1pm.
      I felt overwhelmed because the dispatcher knew I needed help but he didn’t offer any assistance once it past 3pm for me. I feel as tho with this guy did me dirty. I was assigned to a hertz van that had no wagon to help me load to customers houses and all this lifting hurt me the next day

    One reason why everyone has to hurry the delivery is because at the start of the organizational structure some idiot wanted to show off that he/she could deliver the packages as fast as anyone else. Then training and development chose that standard for everyone. If everyone delivers the packages in human time and in human strength, then the delivery would have been rational and understandable. Jeff Bezos knew he would be sued left and right so his team preferred DSP to counter the threat.

    When I got trained, my DSP didn’t do ride along due to covid & personality my dsp is courteous of paying everyone 9hours minimum in case if they finish before the 9 hour mark. Each DSP pays different and stuff; btw, did you quilt Amazon dsp?

    Here in California I started @ 15.00hr in 2020 Dec. Now they gave me a raise $1.50. Ehh it's okay but I like my DSP they give us raises and incentive pay for rescue or performance. But I agree with you, ppl tend to quit cuz they can't handle the job or they dont like it.

    I started 3 weeks ago and it’s not bad I got a bad dsp he jumps to conclusions my other dsp knew of my infractions and it was waved off but he went off on me in front of everyone because it affected my fico score the score went up to 830 after

      @@IAmTheJuanAndOnly i had to triple stack and then work my way out of the van through the side door lol. So i would deliver out of the side door for the beginning of the route and finding oversizes was a nightmare

    Well, the two main reasons I quit is because the job was starting to take a toll on my body, and my particular DSP offered no benefits whatsoever. They were cool, laid-back people, though

      Yeah some don’t have benefits. You would have to ask the dsp before you get hired if they do. And it is hard on the body. Especially if you’re not used to all the physical work

    Its nothing to do with the training, its has everything to do with it being a terrible job, terrible pay, no support or sickness consideration, no drivers voice or empowerment, intercompany contracts with huge liabilities sat on the individual. The incentive for completing a route quickly is more parcels, more cut corners, more road traffic violations, more pressure, more risk, and not taking designated breaks because they aren't enforced by the app and you don't have time. If the routes were capped and audited by a union and you could work at a sensible pace, park safely, drive and lift safely then they would have drivers for a decent amount of time who do a decent job, even at the current pay rates.

      @@Tyweezy84 where you located at? Here in Delaware, we get 17.50 then we get $120 for finishing up our 4th day delivery of the week. Only for the peak season though. Once peak season is done, they'll remove the $120 bonus.

    i just did the 2 days online training and ride along, i didnt bother commiting to the job, the dsp did not pay me for my training because i did not start the job, the job is bullshit anyways

      Depends. You might have to rescue another driver or they send you home. Just depends on the dsps rules

    Yep group stops are stupid and all it is is amazons way of squeezing in more packages and stops but making it appear to be less. 190 stops but 270 locations was the minimum for me everyday. Shit ive been assaulted on a route a thretened to be fired by the owner of the dsp for defending myself, and told if i dont finish the route im fired and then was refused medical to be checked out but i needed the money at the time so i had no choice really

    I’ve been at my current dsp for 6 months now and was offered a leadership position which pays 1 dollar more but I’m not sure how I feel. Haha. Amazon drivers should be paid soooo much more. UPS has a 4 year progression system you’ll be making $30/hr by 2 years guaranteed. It’s just super hard to get into UPS. Amazon should really do something like that. I’ve had 200+ stops some days, with 400 packages, it’s literally insane to expect that from your drivers. UPS & FedEx only give 100-140 stops a day with at most 300 packages. But it is what it is, gotta make that dough till there’s a better opportunity. Lol.

      I’m bout to start back at Amazon dap soon I’ve been back and forth between ups and Amazon do to session work but they both have pros and cons like ups wants you to work in the warehouse fore at least a year before you get to drive fore them and they only give you one chance a year to get it right or you can’t drive fore them Amazon has crazy rules I’ll say this nether one cares about there workers but with ups you will get the benefits to make up fore it
