I'm glad that you didn't ignore the Tesla Model 3 Performance. One key point is that (for those who qualify) the base M3P qualifies for the $7,500 subsidy which brings the price down the $49K, which is nearly $20K less than the Ioniq 5N and the performance EV Charger. Interestingly, the performance Charger lines up pretty closely to the $75K Tesla Model S Long Range, which goes over 400 miles on a charge, but still manages 0-60 in 3.1 sec, and even though the Model S is a matching size, it weighs 1,000lbs less than the Charger. The Charger would be a killer EV if it came out 5-7 years ago. But the EV competition simply got better in the meantime. The EV Charger needs to lose weight and lower its price to be competitive.
@@deanmcmanis9398 the model s goes 400 miles with an asterisk. Yes, that is the EPA rating, but other tests (such as the Edmunds range test) say that it's more like 350 miles. Edit - also, the charger is not a numbers car. That is not the point, and dodge knows it. This is a car that is meant to prove dodge can make EVs with attitude. That's the true measure of success here.
All the performance numbers and glitzy, whiz bang technology that are featured in news cars are great…but when I turn on my 2022 Mustang GT, all those advances melt away. All I hear is my V8…😊
Listen you do realize that the laws the law and they aim to make air remain to be breathable, you like breathable air right? Then let the v8s go 😊 change is inevitable embrace it. Nostalgia is often misleading and overblown

I'm all for an autonomous EV to chauffeur me around but when it comes to performance cars EVs can frack off. When it comes to having fun I'll stick with my 6th gen SS 1LE manual
One thing it's got going for it is the body style. There just aren't a lot of coupes anymore. Other I6 options (Supra, BMW 4 series) cost a lot more, and there aren't any other EVs at all. Not everyone wants a crossover.
Happiness is when my neighbor pauses on the sidewalk to listen to my ‘22 Mustang GT startup. Happiness is when the young man working at grocery store looks in my car and says, “ oh cool, it’s a manual.” Liked the video though.
I guess you haven't heard they are delayed all the models because nobody wants them. Tim K is long gone and the CEO of Stantis is going too. I've owned 2 Hellcats and I like a lot of mopar fans have 0 interest in the new Charger. Unless drastic changes are made Dodge will go under soon.
I don't care how much you try. It's nothing like having a V8. Dodge should've stayed in they're lane. This new vehicle should've been a v8 (atleast 650-700hp), electric motor (for extra hp) and redesign from the start.
Model 3 performance may be quick but it looks like some chinese fish bland blob. Like yall said it is trash around track. In that price range for EVs its easily the 5N leading the pack.
Instead of me buying a new car I guess I'll be looking at rusted out wrecked junk old cars and spending my money on it maybe I'll get two of them for the same price😢
You can buy it, you can enjoy it, it’s your own money. Won’t stop you from being public hazzed for having a leaf blower as a “ muscle car “ other than that do whatever you want it’s your world.
Stellantis is in a nose dive as it is and now they've pull the ripcord on their parachute and out comes an anvil instead. Stop with the EV high performance cars. Keep the V8's and just make them more efficient without using cylinder deactivation that everyone knows does nothing but cost $10k to fix when it breaks.
Being neariy 2000lb heavier than the Tesla is just inexcusable! Shows a real lack of R&D over at Dodge. Heavier, slower, more expensive, less range.....this EV charger is gonna be a complete flop
This will be a total disaster for Dodge. The Mopar crowd doesn’t want a V6 and the EVs are DOA. The EVs are overpriced and will most likely lose 50 percent of their value in the first year. No one is going to buy them. It seems Dodge is so embarrassed by this lineup that they keep delaying the release.
All fake sounds, pops and crackles; all the simulated "transmissions" and shifts... are spectacularly ridiculous and need to be called out, laughed at, humiliated, derided and continuously trashed.
Do not buy a Stellantis vehicle. They are junk. They will self destruct. They will burn. You will regret your purchase big time. Electronic gremlins and poor quality build.
What's your take on all the rivals to the new Charger? Let us know in the comments.
Depends. The key is "did they nail the heart of the ride?"
If they did, I'd consider it. If not, I'd never consider it.

Stellantis is circling the drain. Buy one of their products at your own risk.
They're already in the drain...
@@kbarrett1844Far Far down in my toilet we can find a….. oh! A company named stellantis! Now haw did that get there? I thought Dodge was doing good?
Never say never. Mercedes backtracked on its hybrid 4cylinder amgs because ultimately consumer didn't want a 4cylinder amg. Imagine that
Yea I can easily see dodge going back espically since they fired their CEO. No one wants a full EV for their fun sports car.
Say never, Stellantis is a shopping cart from here on out.
Stellantis is much more snarky than Mercedes. Chances are we ain't seeing another V8 from them

This Dodge is DOA.
Just a suggestion, the annoying background noise doesn't help.
This car is DOA. It has an identity crisis that can only be fixed with the installation of a Hemi V8.
Imagine parking a Dodge EV in your garage 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
What happened to the car industry? Cars are WAYYY TOO Expensive!
*performance
Fr hardly anyone can afford this lmao
The ioniq 5 doesn't have 709 miles man it has about 200 miles a mistake at 7:03
lol i noticed that too. I wish i got 700 miles of range. But real world its actually closer to 250
Lmao I saw this and was like this is the perfect EV it has everything
I'm all for an autonomous EV to chauffeur me around but when it comes to performance cars EVs can frack off. When it comes to having fun I'll stick with my 6th gen SS 1LE manual
Frack off while saying no Ev sports car lol that was actually pretty cute 🤭😝
Yeah, too heavy. Best looking Charger yet though.
It’s slower, more expensive, and less range than the competition. Probably charges worse too. Sounds like a winner. Haha

What is that squealing music? I thought there was something wrong with my cat.
What is this ridiculous trend with square steering wheels?
Great video, but WHAT is that HORRIBLE squeak in the background audio?? Get rid of it OMG.
that fake noise doesn't sound too good

This new thing is a Tavares nightmare.
Yes buy it! Then hellcat swat it please😂
What completion? Most ‘cars’ are actually SUVs. Most idiots don't even know what a Hemi is.
The last proper muscle car standing V8 Mustang ❤❤.
But actually really like the new Doge design, hope to see it in Europe to🤟🤟🤟
I don’t think v8s are the best sounding engines. I prefer a 5, or inline 6, it’s weird how we just get told what sounds good
the way this guy talks: pure cringe
They'll sell more on looks than performance just like the v8 ones. Harder sell without the sound and feel of a v8 though.
EVs are the Impossible Burgers of the automotive world. 🤦🏻♂
You should have compared it against the EV9, since Kia's three row electric SUV is... smaller and lighter 😀

Stelantis will never see a dime of my money. My BMW suv whips on chargers all day. 0-60 in 3.4 seconds and I get such ugly looks from dodge drivers 😂
The hurricane is going to be a great engine. Hopefully reliable
Already proven unreliable

Fake engine sounds and $20k overpriced, nice!
Ya dodge is 100% not going to allow ford and chevy to the only v8. Were talking about dodge. The king of v8s here

Without a V8, Dodge is dead. Period.
0-60 is not a good measure of power
Post 1/4 mole times and speeds

EV 😒🫣
The hurricane seems ok. But they have lost the plot chargers, and challengers were never the fastest. Spoiler that was never the point.
These V8s sounds like fart to me!! lol so glad EVs are taking over!
turbocharged 6 cylinder? No thanks. I'd take a Mustang GT over it any day.
These things are all too expensive the Ford Dark horse, the Caddys. The Charger will be no different.

Stellantis does not understand the people who buy Dodge and Jeep. It's a European shit show.

No one wants that junk. No one!
Nobody will want it
More better?
