- A well over due fishing video, but a beautiful morning after days of rain and storms. This morning we have an incoming high tide, perfect for a flick on the Groynes in Brighton, North of Brisbane. The lure of choice - Daiwa Double Clutch 95 in Ghost Perch Colour. Hopefully it can tempt some flathead with its natural colours and tight diving action. The family have been peppering me to bring back some dinner for some time now, so lets get straight into it.

@@ImJasonFish I went six weeks without a fish a while ago, I got so fed up, I switched to bait (which I swore I'd never do) and started catching fish again. Just goes to show, you can teach an old (sea) dog new tricks.
Bait is too easy haha! Maybe we should start doing a flaty god dance before starting 😂

Was that just today Jason? I considered going up there but the forecast said it would be nearly 40km/h winds this morning. It looked really calm in your video though. Plus high tide was around 10.30am. Isn't a sunrise hightide better than a mid morning hightide?
Hey mate, this was yesterday. Either way - a king/high high tide works very well any time of the day/night. Try go when the wind is calm or blowing over you for maximum casting distance. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching 👍

Nice catch, Jason. May I ask how you like the NS Amped II rod so far? I am interested in the rod but found limited, if any reviews. It would be much appreciated if you can share some thoughts. Thank you.
Hey James, I really enjoy using my NS amped 2 rods. I have Light and X-heavy versions. I might get a medium one day for my medium setup. Anyways, there whole range is ergonomic - perfectly moulding and contouring into your hand, forearm and elbow areas. They are light and perfect for casting for hours and hours. The carbon blank is of very good quality and crisp for flicking and setting hooks. Made with Fuji guides - an essential for all good rods. Like all rods, proper and routine care is essential for long term life - cleaning off the salt and rubbing reel oil for that extra protective coating. If you can, try one out when you can. @@ImJasonFish Many thanks to your input, Jason. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a tackle shop in my area that has the series on display (Sydney Metro) - unbelievable. I watched a few more of your videos where you put the rod into action. It does look like a good rod for both hardbody and soft plastic lures.
You won't be disappointed if you go with the NS Amped 2s. Let me know which rod you end up going. Cheers
