An elderly mechanic that I used to work with back in the late 1980's showed me a pretty cool way to preserve carburetor gaskets. Give them a generous application of packing grease on both sides, and let it sit overnight. The next day, wipe it as clean as you can get it WITHOUT using any kind of cleaner on it. Doing this will allow you to use, and reuse the gasket over and over and over many times. That guy sure was a walking wealth of information, and he had an incredible sense of humor.

I think the blue distributor was for the 61 wagon. They sent a blue one and you ended up replacing it with a red one, if memory serves.

The more I watch puddin's Fab shop the more I realize, using fish tank sealant to hold a carburetor on probably wasn't the best idea.

Don't worry about the dually spindle Mortske just order a 2" drop spindle and cut the springs 2 more and make it a North Dakota road grader.

The two of you should know about the air hose adapter for inflating tires...pull the core, thread on the adapter, and then clip the hose on....full airflow inside the tire fir fluffing out those beads.

Boooooooooo not the dually! I don’t even like square bodies and I liked that thing. A rust free crewCrew cabs is almost worth keeping around for an investment they just keep getting more and more expensive. That thing only needed lowered and the wheels.

26:54 Puddin that truck has a Lucas-Girling brake system. Ford used that a lot on that size trucks back in the day. I was never fond of it but it did work decent.
