It never will be banned for luring. Imagine Jagex banning a veteran who paid them over $1000 for membership and actively participates in a dying game. It would be counter intuitive as anyone who lured in the past, Skill Specs, Socajowa etc would be open to the same type of ban and it would destroy the dying community

I totally just realized I have "Lady" on my friends list. I remembered getting talked to by them at brutals months ago they told me they would protect me if I logged into a pvp world after I complained about so many people being there. They tried to convince me for several minutes.
I used to talk to Lady way, way back in the day before there even was a members version. I doubt it's actually the same person since they were really nice back then and just loved playing the game, but it might be someone who stole a defunct account or a very similar name using a symbol that looks similar somehow. It's possible it's the same person, but more likely something to do with the display name instead, so you're best off reporting them through the actual character interaction.

Runescape scams are the reason I never fall for facebookscams and the sort. I've learned everything I know on the streets (of Varrock). It's a great (relatively safe) learning environment to learn that not all people in the world are good people.

The scam on this one is they tell you to remove the items, and as you’re removing them, they decline the trade so you click out of the bank. Just about every animation stall is fixed
One time a guy with trimmed completionist that was on the 2nd page of highscores in ranged (aka super super og account) was trying to lure me for a partyhat after being friendly for a couple hours, I've encountered many lurers but it blew me away this guy would do it on such an account, I see some things never change =/

KempQ, you should really consider taking down this video. I honestly don't know if you're that dumb but this is the lurers elaborate plan to get you to show that it is possible to anti-lure them. Either you're completely wasted otherwise you were paid by the lurers to upload the video. In reality the reason they bring you to jatiszo and stand in that exact square is so that when u trade them ur gonna run out of the safezone within 2 ticks, where the first tick is used to send the close trade screen packet, making it completely impossible for a human to react. The reason they want you to withdraw so many items from the bank is that you'll left click the items of quantity 1. In reality, the scam happens the moment you enter the tradescreen. If they trade you first, they can click a stall and run outside the bank so that when you accept the trade you run outside. If you trade them first, they close the screen while you're left-clicking items to make you misclick, thus running out. I know these lurers personally and know they're not this bad, this video looks very scripted. It is very profesionally done with plugins and macros to optimize every single action. In reality the moment you started started trading them with all your items in your inventory is the moment you would have lost all your gear, thus showing to your viewers that it is possible to open the tradescreen with them. IT IS NOT. It's very suspecious that nothing happened to you during this tradescreen as I have clips of people losing 1.6-3b to the EXACT same lure. I can show you the clips privately if you wanna see them. This type of video is very common among lurers, where the "anti-lure, baiter acc" will tell you that it is possible to anti lure them and show the victim a youtube video on how to actually anti lure them, when in fact the anti-luring vid was just made to pursuade the victims. If you don't take down this video and publicly apologise, I will with 2 very well known people in the RS community upload a video on exposing you. This is not a threat, but you are an influencer on the RS community and this will cause people to get lured. I myself was wondering why he wasn't getting stalled out the instant he traded them his bank. And why would you even trade them especially if you know about stalls? Your theory might seem a bit far fetched to most, but I think you're on to something here.
Agree with you completely, he should've been milked instantly and dragged in the moment the trade window went up. Highly suspicious because he went on to the trade window more than once with a good 1.5b and low hp. A pull-in should at the very least have been ATTEMPTED the 2nd time he went into trade window. Highly suspect, as this is the focal point of the lure and it's difficult to believe a operation like this would have shit-for-brains running the show. usually it's your smoothest operator that runs the point on clicking them out into the pvp zone.
The spam bots are kind of maliscious too. They're often made by other lurers, who are trying to save easy targets for themselves, or force other groups out of the racket. Actual PKers also occasionally use them as scout bots, to alert for high risk players on pvp worlds and pvp hcims with high bounties.
Best thing about it, they do it over fucking pisscord. If he bothered showing it to police they would be arrested within a day. Discord is not particularly aubtle about collecting information about you.
I've had some dude tell me he would find me and rip my guts out and stab me over sea of thieves since I wouldn't let him take over everything me and my sister had been working on these are the type of people in us west servers
Holy shit a similar variation to this lure happened to me the other day, except it was from a guy I was talking to over the course of 2 weeks. He added me at zulrah after chatting with him about him getting the pet. Guy has near max stats and an infernal. Throughout the course of 2 weeks he's pming me just shooting the shit, mentioned twice how he anti-lured some people but I never thought anything of it. He asks me the other day to help him real quick with an anti lure, tells me I don't need any items and I saw ok. There's a similar setup to the guys in your vid but it was at the nardah bank. He told me which tile to login on (pvp world at this point) and I did and got a whip and 75k but on a tile adjacent there was an arcane (this was the bait, but I was being greedy) So now he tells me to come to ge since he's following the lurers and they don't trust him but they don't recognize him so I should give it a go. The talker asks me to show some wealth so I show him a tbow (mistakenly). Gives me a nardah teleport and tells me to meet him there in non pvp world first. So we meet there and they go through the same exact bullshit script as yours, the boss, asking me which npcs were near, etc. They keep asking me to show my inventory via trade screen and he goes to trade me the telegrab runes. I kept declining via the escape key instead of clicking since I knew he was trying to bait the clicks through the trade screen going outside of the bank (we hopped to a pvp world at this point). I went back to the bank, got all the shit he wanted to see, but I equipped a ring of dueling for a 1 click tele out that he wouldn't be able to see if I was wearing. Sure enough I got sloppy after countless trade screens and my character got dragged out of the bank and insta zgs'd, but I managed to switch tabs and teleport to to cwars right away. After this, the lurers had the audacity to CONTINUE TO HIT ME UP ASKING WHAT HAPPENED LETS GO AGAIN AND MEET AT FISHING GUILD. Unbelievable. I'm lucky I got away. The lurers names were: Dolphin Swim IRITATEDBILL
Exact same thing happened to me, approached by a max acc which I spoke to for some time, the guy even went on voice call with me. I unfortunately was just greedy and not as smart as you, and got lured for 1.4b
The max accounts can be bought for 350$. ( i bought once then sold it back since i wanted to experience everything by myself ). IF lucky they can lure you on 1b+. Going profit directly

Idk about deleting the duel arena, but capping the staking amount would be nice. Cap it at 10m. Anything over that is a 20% tax, therefore making it a "one off, I'll quit if I lose" only scenario like people do anyway. Just leaves the winner at the point of not wanting to keep staking because the losses are too high to keep going if he were to lose just once after winning once.

Keep up the good work, loving this sort of content! I was lured a few years back with similar circumstances and ended up losing a purple phat on RS3 after being emotionally manipulated for months from a so called 'friend'. Great seeing some revenge on these sorts of players.
I just had a few clowns try this on me in RS3, or at least a version of this lure. It began with a "long lost" friend PM'ing me that they want to quit RS to focus on League of Legends, and wanted to give me 2bil. Suspicious, right? Then I managed to locate the account who was pm ing me and checked them out without them noticing I snuck up on where they were "afk" at (excuse given: They had class so I had to wait 15 mins for their quiz to end. In reality, they were getting their scammer pals to take their places) - After they world hopped a few times, they asked me to come to the GE. Wouldn't you know it, they began asking me about my magic level, and then like a knight in rusting armour a "third party" ran in to warn me about the scam. The idea was clearly to attempt to make me anti-lure, and set me up to fail. After this cheeky individual "warned" me, they asked me to give them a bond if I get any gold from the scammer they just "warned" me about. While I couldn't think of any good quips on the spot, after informing him I knew the trick they were going to pull, upon being asked for the bond, I did tell em: "No. I don't think I will." after which I ancient magic teleported off.
This is actually one of the few reasons why I play runescape by myself... If someone ask me to follow them I instantly refuse as I only do everything by myself... Sure it may be a long grind but it's better than being scammed, lured, or any other reason... If I want to trade I rather do it with some of my good friends.

jagex fixed most of the animation stalls, chances are some still exist though.
The scam on this one is they tell you to remove the items, and as you’re removing them, they decline the trade so you click out of the bank. Just about every animation stall is fixed

One time a guy with trimmed completionist that was on the 2nd page of highscores in ranged (aka super super og account) was trying to lure me for a partyhat after being friendly for a couple hours, I've encountered many lurers but it blew me away this guy would do it on such an account, I see some things never change =/

KempQ, you should really consider taking down this video. I honestly don't know if you're that dumb but this is the lurers elaborate plan to get you to show that it is possible to anti-lure them. Either you're completely wasted otherwise you were paid by the lurers to upload the video. In reality the reason they bring you to jatiszo and stand in that exact square is so that when u trade them ur gonna run out of the safezone within 2 ticks, where the first tick is used to send the close trade screen packet, making it completely impossible for a human to react. The reason they want you to withdraw so many items from the bank is that you'll left click the items of quantity 1. In reality, the scam happens the moment you enter the tradescreen. If they trade you first, they can click a stall and run outside the bank so that when you accept the trade you run outside. If you trade them first, they close the screen while you're left-clicking items to make you misclick, thus running out. I know these lurers personally and know they're not this bad, this video looks very scripted. It is very profesionally done with plugins and macros to optimize every single action. In reality the moment you started started trading them with all your items in your inventory is the moment you would have lost all your gear, thus showing to your viewers that it is possible to open the tradescreen with them. IT IS NOT. It's very suspecious that nothing happened to you during this tradescreen as I have clips of people losing 1.6-3b to the EXACT same lure. I can show you the clips privately if you wanna see them. This type of video is very common among lurers, where the "anti-lure, baiter acc" will tell you that it is possible to anti lure them and show the victim a youtube video on how to actually anti lure them, when in fact the anti-luring vid was just made to pursuade the victims. If you don't take down this video and publicly apologise, I will with 2 very well known people in the RS community upload a video on exposing you. This is not a threat, but you are an influencer on the RS community and this will cause people to get lured. Agree with you completely, he should've been milked instantly and dragged in the moment the trade window went up. Highly suspicious because he went on to the trade window more than once with a good 1.5b and low hp.
A pull-in should at the very least have been ATTEMPTED the 2nd time he went into trade window. Highly suspect, as this is the focal point of the lure and it's difficult to believe a operation like this would have shit-for-brains running the show. usually it's your smoothest operator that runs the point on clicking them out into the pvp zone.

6:35 making a spambot that's only purpose is to warn new players about luring is one of the very few respectable uses for a spam bot.
The spam bots are kind of maliscious too. They're often made by other lurers, who are trying to save easy targets for themselves, or force other groups out of the racket. Actual PKers also occasionally use them as scout bots, to alert for high risk players on pvp worlds and pvp hcims with high bounties.

Holy shit a similar variation to this lure happened to me the other day, except it was from a guy I was talking to over the course of 2 weeks. He added me at zulrah after chatting with him about him getting the pet. Guy has near max stats and an infernal.
Throughout the course of 2 weeks he's pming me just shooting the shit, mentioned twice how he anti-lured some people but I never thought anything of it.
He asks me the other day to help him real quick with an anti lure, tells me I don't need any items and I saw ok. There's a similar setup to the guys in your vid but it was at the nardah bank. He told me which tile to login on (pvp world at this point) and I did and got a whip and 75k but on a tile adjacent there was an arcane (this was the bait, but I was being greedy)
So now he tells me to come to ge since he's following the lurers and they don't trust him but they don't recognize him so I should give it a go. The talker asks me to show some wealth so I show him a tbow (mistakenly). Gives me a nardah teleport and tells me to meet him there in non pvp world first.
So we meet there and they go through the same exact bullshit script as yours, the boss, asking me which npcs were near, etc. They keep asking me to show my inventory via trade screen and he goes to trade me the telegrab runes. I kept declining via the escape key instead of clicking since I knew he was trying to bait the clicks through the trade screen going outside of the bank (we hopped to a pvp world at this point).
I went back to the bank, got all the shit he wanted to see, but I equipped a ring of dueling for a 1 click tele out that he wouldn't be able to see if I was wearing. Sure enough I got sloppy after countless trade screens and my character got dragged out of the bank and insta zgs'd, but I managed to switch tabs and teleport to to cwars right away.
After this, the lurers had the audacity to CONTINUE TO HIT ME UP ASKING WHAT HAPPENED LETS GO AGAIN AND MEET AT FISHING GUILD.
Unbelievable. I'm lucky I got away.

The max accounts can be bought for 350$. ( i bought once then sold it back since i wanted to experience everything by myself ). IF lucky they can lure you on 1b+. Going profit directly

Idk about deleting the duel arena, but capping the staking amount would be nice. Cap it at 10m. Anything over that is a 20% tax, therefore making it a "one off, I'll quit if I lose" only scenario like people do anyway. Just leaves the winner at the point of not wanting to keep staking because the losses are too high to keep going if he were to lose just once after winning once.

I just had a few clowns try this on me in RS3, or at least a version of this lure. It began with a "long lost" friend PM'ing me that they want to quit RS to focus on League of Legends, and wanted to give me 2bil. Suspicious, right? Then I managed to locate the account who was pm ing me and checked them out without them noticing I snuck up on where they were "afk" at (excuse given: They had class so I had to wait 15 mins for their quiz to end. In reality, they were getting their scammer pals to take their places) - After they world hopped a few times, they asked me to come to the GE. Wouldn't you know it, they began asking me about my magic level, and then like a knight in rusting armour a "third party" ran in to warn me about the scam. The idea was clearly to attempt to make me anti-lure, and set me up to fail. After this cheeky individual "warned" me, they asked me to give them a bond if I get any gold from the scammer they just "warned" me about. While I couldn't think of any good quips on the spot, after informing him I knew the trick they were going to pull, upon being asked for the bond, I did tell em: "No. I don't think I will." after which I ancient magic teleported off.
