Life in India has a lot of bhasad baji, but then there is this celebratory chaos which keeps you going in life. Once you move overseas that's what you miss the most. So many festivals all over the country.
Durga ma is mother of goddess to Hindus. Now you can understand why people go crazy and where the emotions come from. And bengalis celebrate this puja every year with new pandals. The art is absolutely beautiful. If you want to experience this, you have to come kolkata on Durga puja season. This year Durga puja ended on 16th October. The celebration is going on through 1 week.
Nothing would have happened if the guy had fallen, while tying his shoes....this is India....people from the crowd would have helped him....would have taken him a safe place, may offered him some first aid, water or even tea....its very normal in India....
@20:36 when he was mentioning about "peace", maybe what he actually meant was by looking at goddess durga he felt inner peace in the previous pandals. But that specific pandal was too noisy, or maybe more crowdy than the previous pandals. For us Indians, Durga puja is a huge celebration, filled with enjoyment and lots of people. ☺ Its never meant to be quiet in the first place. If it's quiet then it just doesnot feel like durga puja.
I was missing Achara in this reaction she would have given a great reaction throughout the video 🥺🥺I love to watch yours and achara's reactions together 😍😍
Just like Durga Puja, Christmas too is one of the most celebrated festivals in Kolkata (Park Street). It's definitely not as as massive as the Durga Puja celebration, but it too has its own vibe, energy and beauty. ❤️ Likewise, Eid as well .. 😊
One thing I must mention is that all the pandals are perfectly hand made.. for months.. and the theme of each pandal can absolutely blow your mind off. Also during this time people walks miles after miles from one pandal to another days and nights. The roads are narrowed down to make side tracks for people to walk. You can see people of all age groups walking and visiting pandals. Its a beautiful positive energy in the aura of the city during that time. And you can sense the absolute energy once you land the city. Its breath taking. Like last year I walked, around 13 kms each day for 4 days straight 🤣 god, I dont walk that much in a month 🤣🤣.
Come to kolkata jaby during Durga Puja, then you will experience the level of creativity, energy, fun here which can't be matched with anything. Glad you reacted to this video
Durga Pujo in Kolkata is nothing like anything else in the world. You can only understand it by witnessing it here. It's holy, spiritual, beautiful, and fun at the same time. When devotion mixes with art and emotion, Durgapujo happens.
@@bigk2367 we are that mad lol. We get triggered by ads. So jaby probably told her before the video that it's religious so u gotta be careful otherwise indian people will come at you.

You are right. It's like Goddess Durga is a much-loved family member who visit twice a year -- once in spring for Basanti puja. I used to feel so sad Navami onwards because I knew it was time for Her to leave with her children.
Seeing and experiencing is different, tourist see, devotees experience the process of spirituality. With experiencing, physical energy never matters, and of course mentally you grow calm and rejuvenated in company of MAA
Hey Jaby, thanks for reacting to this. I'm from Kolkata but now living in the States. Its been almost 7 years that I've not seen Durga Puja. This reminded me of all the places that I used to go for panda hopping. Let me know if you want to know more about Durga Puja, the culture and its importance for the people of Kolkata.
9:18 You're not thinking wrong actually. It looks like gyro but way better... Gyros base is pita bread which can be used fresh as well as after few days. And inside you can put anything, chicken, mutton, etc etc... But here, it's mutton roll... Huge difference between pita bread and freshly made delicious paratha. Obviously, not healthy if you eat everyday but 2-3 rolls a week is must for me. And the mutton inside, believe me, little chunks, juicy & tender, with onion, sauce or ketchup, chilli sauce, ending with mayonnaise... Uff, literally I a took a sip of saliva inside😄😋... The parathas they make is so delicious that you can eat 2-3 hot ones, just plain, even without any substitute... And Jaby, I don't know if you can get the same taste in LA but yes , easy way is to search for "Kolkata Kathi Roll"... There I think you'll get close to what's shown here... Otherwise simply contact a Bengali person, he'll show you the destination 🙂... Enjoy

HAPPY DIWALI Motu Jaby 🙏🙏🙏
What happened to her? She’s so scared of being cancelled about everything that comes out of her mouth😄😄
A bad twitter experience?
Because us indians get triggered by everything, especially if it's religious. So she had every right to do so. No one wants to get death or rape threats
@@jatinsharma2787 finally someone spot on with the reason.
@@jatinsharma2787 and yet she was looking uninterested and yawning time to time🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
@@user091vsjshgs didn't seem uninterested to me. Just seemed conscious.
I'm watching this video after 2 years and I've been to some of these pandals and it feels so nostalgic
carolina is so cute we need more reaction jabey and carolina
Definitely worth it, the feeling and essence of being with all that emotion, culture and memories is unparalleled to the chaos which obviously someone who hasn't experience it won't understand, and that makes sense.
Jaby you should visit kedarnath once in your life when you come to India next time.🙏
Yes everyone in the 🌎🌍
If you do visit Kolkata during Durga Puja, you could try pandal hopping when there are slightly less people - like after 2am in the night, or when it is the peak of the afternoon!
And no, I have never heard of any stampede-like situation even in the densest crowds.
I'm so sad not to be in Kolkata for this year's Durga Puja... have been pandal hopping for seven years there!

Jaby and the girl or the 2 boys?
The crowd, the stuffiness, the jostling, the walking endless kilometers, the tiredness... Everything is worth it to visit pandals during Durga Puja in Kolkata!

I lives in Kolkata near Nadia district called kalyani , if you see most popular Durga Puja pandel , come this year, lots of happiness & soul energy you find in Durga Puja Festival ❤

Jaby sir and achara mam you both are very cute 😍. Love from INDIA ❤️
Most big things in this world would have started from a group being antagonised. The famous Thrissur Pooram also started after another Pooram group which was the main one at that time did not allow this antagonised group to participate as they were late due to rains/floods. Now Thrissur pooram is huge and known world wide whilst not even many Keralites know about Arattupuzha Pooram.
If it's hard to believe how they achieve building it, let me say it's devotion, devotion is like the driving force to reach anything and it is this devotion to the goddess that helps.
