You narrate your process and intuition so well, it's impossible to get lost watching you work. Whenever I'm in a creative rut, you always pull me out of it. Keep doing what you do.
I really have to say that, i bumped into you and Matt not too long ago. Its amazing and surprising to see you guys do a collaboration together. You guys are my favorite musicians i follow on youtube. I have postponed producing music for over 10years almost due to lifestuff and its itching REALLY good right now. Thanks for being the authentic you, teaching and inspiring . God bless!!
This was so much fun watching the both of you creating those ideas and bringing that track to life! The joy you two had is almost contagious, to say the least. 😊 Thanks for sharing this, brilliant collaboration!
I’m not familiar with its Matt’s music, but god I love those baselines and chords he made❤ Maybe that comparison is not right but those baselines remind me of Mark Rebilet’s style, which I really appreciate. Great collab.
It's great to see how you're developing musically. It's clear from the videos that you're getting better and better at knowing what kind of music you want to make and then focusing on that (simple, clever, house music, etc.). I love the way you then show it on RUclips. So thank you for that and your great videos!
Thanks! Yea I said, “you know what, this is what I love doing. Someone else might enjoy it too. Let’s stick to it” I used to have a tendency to hide it more and make it more “universal” but it’s draining lol
@@RickyTinez Good attitude! Even if I believe that "moving away from the mainstream" can have a negative impact on viewer numbers and therefore success on RUclips. On the other hand, viewers also realize that the content that is uploaded is honest content. In that sense, I'm looking forward to more videos!
This RULED. Love Matt’s vibes and how much effort you both put into it, it really paid off. Getting a certain Bugge Wesseltoft jazzy vibe from the combo, but housier :) A 3-track EP on the cards??!! Sign me up!
Man, this was such a fun video to watch back to back with Matt's. Also, I wated to share that I distinctly noticed how much I learned and made better music thanks to both your video's and those from @analogkitchen. This year I underwent a big surgery, then moved my family to a new home, which all meant making 0 music for nearly a year. When I was finally ready to start using the new setup I built for myself noticed I was able to lay down ideas that were much more musical in way less time AND finish them quickly (3x6, only k&b
Really great collab, end result was very nice, but gotta say my fave part was around 6:50 that loop with the OT filter was fire, I’d have liked to have heard it more prominent in the final mix, but anyway great stuff as always.
Sick! Loved watching this so good! I made my first dance track because of watching your vids. Long way to go to be as good as you lol but its a start thanks!
@RickeyTinez - I know you are focusing on Elektron (and I'm cool with it). I was just wondering what the outcome would be if you picked another tool - specifically, the SP-404 mk2. Thoughts?
what you pull out of sometimes to me sounds like a hot mess is incredible !!! I started watching your content about the time you played with the Music 10/10 which I still find amazing and still want to learn with but you are Amazing in what you do thank you for your content :)
Hey Ricky, can you tell me herevto find good drum kit/ samples for House, Lo-Fi House, Deep House? I'm trying to use the stock drum machines and they sound great but if you can share the knowledge to me would be great to! Another question: on drum machines the root note of the sample is always C ?
Hey, has anyone been able to download the samples from the highnotes link in the description? when i go to do it the site says theres a problem and yes i've created an account. any help would be appreciated pleas and thank you. also awesome video!
Hi Ricky i m a big fan of u by many years but if i have to be honest your productions has been losing quality (in terms of sound and groove) compared to 4 years ago, the main cause in my opinion is the total switch of gears you did the music you were making with mpc1000/3000, moog sirin, expander etc sounded much more open and dynamic than your contemporary sound made with cliché pianos (nord etc), ableton heavy compression etc. you still have great skills but in the video below you were killing it much more than what you di now and i think is because of the set up you changed: 👇 is dope ruclips.net/video/qnFoKhBFDCE/видео.htmlsi=jGadT32jgzaVYaLM
As you said yourself in your last bit, it's not about skills. It's just his needs changing, we always end up doing the sound we want to hear so there is no wrong turn taken, just one that doesn't suit YOUR taste anymore. And it's perfectly fine, you'll always have his previous content to go back to when nostalgia creeps in. Peace it's all good.
Thanks for the view and sharing your opinion! Im of the opposite mind haha. I thought that video you linked to was played out and boring, im loving bringing more human elements into my music from the organic recorded sounds :) thanks again for your time
@@RickyTinez it is not boring at all your old content grooves like hell and the sounds are punchy and full ), you have always the same skills but somehow the quality of the sounds (also the groove) has worsened when you switched set up (those nord pianos are cliché and the ableton summing make the track sound lifeless no dinamics). So don’t take wrongly is not about you but the gears you are using now that in my opinion has a far lower tonal quality than the previous set up. cheers rick
It was a pleasure making music with you man! Awesome to see and hear your side of the collab too ☺️🙌🏼

This video is super chill and interesting, but not to complicated, all at the same time. Perfection.

Strong work!
Excellent video! Always great seeing how you work. Thanks
Arrangements are my achilles' heel and I feel like I learned more from watching this video than in 15ish years trying to self-teach

Hello there, I am a new subscriber and am wondering if you teach ppl how to use a synth? Thank you for your reply.
I do have a few videos like that! Look for my playlist synth Tips. Thanks for subbing!
